Continuing with trying to wrap the loose ends of old stories, this is a bit of a conclusion to one from back at the start of last year 😊
Part One:
Part Two:
Part Three:
"Don't leave me alone with this pervert!" Nathan shouted.
"I'm the pervert? You're the one who kissed me," Chris hissed back.
Michelle slammed the display case and turned the key in the lock. She didn't have time for their petty drama - it was Valentine's Day, and she had an entire department store to run. Whatever their disagreement, they would have to settle it themselves, ideally in a soundproof display case, instead of squabbling in front of the customers.
She stepped back, taking in the sight of the two trapped dolls and their pitiful, pleading eyes behind the glossy masks. Their complaints were muffled, and they served just as well as display pieces in there.
Valentine's was hectic as ever. Wine, chocolates, lingerie, and sex toys all flew from the shelves. In the evening, she stopped by the food court, where Brian was doing his part: a continuous, glistening fountain of champagne streaming from his endoscopic tubing.
She was the one to lock up. After the customers left, she lowered the shutters, blew out the candles, and extricated Brian from his perch.
Driving home, she reflected on the day. Sales had been excellent. The atmosphere had been perfect. So why did she feel like there was something missing?
She slipped into bed, staring at the ceiling. Something nagged at her. She'd emptied the tills - check. Locked up - check. She would, of course, have to arrange a meeting with Nathan and Chris to discuss their conduct-
Oh no.
She raced back to the store. How much air was in that display case?! She hurried between darkened aisles to the narrow booth where she'd locked them, fearing the worst.
Inside, Nathan's glossy plastic breasts were pressed firmly up against the glass; Chris wedged behind him. A steady, rhythmic thump sounded against the pane. Both froze when they saw her, scrambling awkwardly to separate, though it was impossible in the limited space. They must have done quite some maneuvering to get into their current position.
Michelle exhaled in relief. “Well,” she murmured, “looks like you two managed to come to a mutual understand.”
