She had the man-thing installed in her balaneion. Why, exactly, she couldn't say. On some level that was confusing even to her, the thought of it watching her bathe excited her. The Sculptress had hesitated, disturbed by the request, but, since she too could not put words to her misgivings, she obeyed, cementing the ex-male into the marble ledge at the end of the bubbling pool, as if it had always been there.

"Would you like me to finish the face?" the Sculptress enquired, rubbing her tired arm.

The petrified granite flesh had proved remarkably hard and had taken her a month to chisel the once-broad pectorals into a majestic pair of breasts befitting a goddess.

Diana looked into the sapphire eyes set within the angular, granite head. Its face was almost mesmerising in its deformity, with the right-angled jawline and the short, petrified hair growing on its chin of all places. She almost preferred it like this, with the oversized male head perched on the delicate female form. It would be a shame when the face was finally chiselled away, no different to all the other beautiful statues that dotted the island.

"Not yet," Diana replied. "Start on the water feature first."

The sculptress nodded. Dolloping more cement on the end of a copper tube, she crouched behind the statue to slip it between its marble cheeks, plumbing it into the network that brought water to the Princess' private baths.

A arc of bubbling water began to spew from Superman's frozen lips, filling the pool. Diana smiled.
