Part Three:

The last day of the vacation finally comes around. Your wife has purchased a cat carrier to transport you to the airport and you practically jump into the plastic cage, eager to see the look on that filthy mutt's face when WereAir sucks your stolen humanity out of it and inject it back into you. That wretched hound dog has had his paws all over your wife for days and the nights when they locked you out of the hotel room to do god-knows-what were more than you could stand. There'd been times when you'd been driven into such a frenzy that you'd sunk your tiny sharp teeth into his ankle, and he'd simply laughed and booted you away.

Enjoy it while it lasts, you think, scowling through the bars as you're carried down the hotel steps to the airport taxi. You'll be back to eating out of dumpsters before the day is through!

At the airport check-in desk, your cage is placed on the ground, granting you a view of your wife's feet as she explains the mistake to the airline representative.

"I'm sorry to hear our service was not to your liking. If you have your husband's passport, we'll be able to remedy that issue at once," assures the WereAir representative. "... Thank you, ma'am. Now if you'll have your new husband pose for the camera, we'll update his passport photo for him."

What?! No! You wrestle at the bars. A minute later, the cat carrier lurches violently into the air, and that dog leers in at you, its canine teeth bared in a victorious grin as he waggles your updated passport. "... you... lose... pussy," he growls lowly, slowly forcing out his first human words, which make your blood run cold. "She's my... mate... now..."

He carries you through the airport terminal, your carrier swinging terrifyingly in his grasp, while you hold on for dear life. On the plane, the container is opened, and you tumble out onto your son's lap, so shaken you can barely stand.

"The stewardess said I'm okay to have you out of your cage, so long as you behave," he explains. "I'm sure it's not permanent, Dad... Ex-Dad," he corrects himself, patting you on the head fondly.
