The wizards and witches of House Pufflesub are known for their earnest, hardworking temperaments and love of simple, rustic pleasures. While producing many healers, herbalists and animagi, they rarely give rise to wizards of true greatness compared to the other Houses. Victims of derision, they're regarded as little more than familiars-in-training and ideal subjects for pranks or other stress relief in the halls of Pigswills.

Their House emblem is a badger, symbolizing perseverance. Their House motto, 'For Kin', is often teasingly misconstrued by other Houses as 'For Fucking'. Their reputation as useful submissives is perpetuated by the tactless rhymes the Reckoning Cap concocts each year:
