Adamantium bones liquified beneath his magnetic might. The pelvic bones lost all cohesion, inflating into air-filled orbs that stretched out the surrounding flesh. The adamantium ribs too swelled into balloons that jutted up against Wolverine's jaw, stifling his furious snarls.

With a twist of Magneto's wrist, the rest of the skeleton twisted like a pretzel. A flick of his finger and the X-Man floated across the Genoshan villa like a balloon on the wind, coming to rest in the pool with a splash.

A lesser man would have died. The tortured flesh healed in an instant around the fused skeleton, now immobile and warped into the shape of a pool toy. The only movement was the eyes that roved in their sockets to fix Magneto with a murderous stare, as the toy bobbed and twirled lazily in the current from the water filter.

"Let me warn you against ever extending your claws in my presence again, Wolverine," Magneto sneered. "Inflatables have a tendency to pop."
