Patient Name: Donald Peterson
Date of Birth: 04/07/1957

Chief Complaint: Repeated falls resulting in a broken hip

History of Present Illness:
Donald experienced a fall during the night shift while attempting to climb out of bed. Patient was found on the floor of his room, complaining of pain in the left hip. Imaging revealed a displaced fracture of the left femur. The patient appears frail, displaying multiple old contusions and bandaged skin tears from past falls. It appears Donald had a romantic rendevous arranged with Beatrice on the women's wing, and expressed disappointment at missing his 'date'.

Diagnosis:
Left intertrochanteric femoral fracture due to fall

Comorbidities:
Frailty/Low BMI
Gonarthrosis
Osteoporosis
Enlarged prostate
Frequent bouts of hypothermia

Recommendations:
Begin pain management and schedule the patient for bilateral hip replacement. I notice that these falls, and these late-night trysts, keep happening. Donald is evidently an independent spirit who has caught the eye of several of our female residents. Confining our aging lothario to the safety of his bed clearly isn't working, as he absconds the moment our nurses' backs are turned. Unfortunately, the fragility of the man's bones and his diminished body fat practically ensures he will do himself an injury in the process.

I believe we have a vat of female-type synthflesh in storage that is nearing its expiration date. Rather than throw it out, please ask Donald if he would consent to its application. If so, kindly move him to the top of the waiting list for full skin replacement therapy. Lay it on thick, especially around his rear and thorax. I want a big, meaty pair of buttocks to shield his artificial hips while they heal, and a juicy pair of front bumpers to absorb the impact if he happens to tumble forward. The synthflesh should also act as an insulating barrier, keeping him warm as we head into winter.

Please give Donald my apologies that we can only provide female-type synthflesh available. Although, knowing his love of the female form, I suspect there will be no complaints. Please also pass along my sympathies to the lovely ladies of the women's wing, now that their stud is being put out to pasture.

Prescription:
Synthflesh Application (Brand: CelluShield ProTech) (Batch: 2027-LATI-FEM-014)
Application instructions: Lay patient in the synthflesh mold reserved for XXL female patients before filling to maximum volume. Ensure full, thick coverage.

Follow-up:
I'm already scheduled to see Donald in 4 weeks for his regular physical, so can assess his healing then.
