I do like the idea that Obi Wan goes to the operating theatre still fully robed 😊

Raelis Vossin, High Physician of Naboo, carried the face in its shallow tray of bacta from one operating theatre to the next, holding it with all the gravitas as he might hold the crown jewels. He'd done the finer work with the muscles of the face. Behind him, the droids began the cruder work, harvesting those vital pieces of the senator that were too dignified to be touched by anything but a droid.
Vossin's surgical assistant was familiar with the process by now and was swabbing down the second patient's face with antiseptic, which dribbled through his short ginger beard.
"Senator Amidala is really going through these decoys," the assistant said. "Uh, poor choice of words?"
Vossin glared at the younger man. "Poor choice indeed. These people give their lives for the senator's safety. Show some respect."
He placed the tray beside the patient. The beautiful mask stared up at him with its empty eye sockets. Its raw edges were sealed with medical tape, but otherwise, it was pristine. Vossin was proud of his work. His assistant scooped it from the bacta and slapped it down on the pillow beside the sedated patient with a wet smack.
"And decorum too," Vossin bellowed. "Don't toss the senator's face around like a landed fish!"
The assistant reached for a scalpel with a shrug. "It's just cloned skin."
"There was neither time nor need to clone another face," said Vossin.
The assistant frowned in confusion. "You harvested it off the last decoy?"
"The one that was blown to pieces? No. It has been decided that it's no longer safe for Senator Amidala to remain Amidala. This is to be a mutual transplantation, not a conversion. This man, whoever he is, will take her place. He will be the new decoy."
The assistant's eyes went wide. "You... you mean that's Padmé's face? Her real face?"
"Who do you think I spent the last three hours operating on? So, I'd ask you to be clean with your cuts while you flense this man, since your Queen will shortly be wearing his skin."
