The king continues to rest and recuperate in the palace following last month's King's Hunt. While healed and in good spirits, his genetic recuperation has unfortunately stalled after his stored genetic material - intended to be reinfused into him to return him to humanity - was found to be have minor genetic defects, rendering it unsuitable and necessitating its destruction.

A search of the extended noble family for healthy donor genetic material unfortunately returned empty handed. In the meantime, the King is receiving transfusions of human DNA donated from both the Princess of Wales and an unnamed American woman in order to stabilise his condition. While his blood may not be as blue as it once was, his grandeur and regal bearing is in no way diminished.
He has already regained partial human speech and is house trained.
