That last exchange between her and Han haunted Leia as she crept through Jabba’s palace in the dead of night, hunting for her abducted lover. Why can't I find him?! she thought helplessly, aware that the Hutt crime lord might awake and catch her any moment. She'd been so sure Jabba would have kept him here as a trophy and warning to any others who failed to pay their debts. And it wasn’t as though Han could have gotten far himself, frozen in carbonite.
Fumbling blindly, her fingers grasped a hard metal orb dripping with slime. “Eww!” Recoiling, she turned her lantern to the bronze statue whose chest she'd accidentally groped.
It stood amid a row of other sculptures, all naked females of many species. It was a thing of beauty, sensual and startlingly lifelike, though as vulgar as all of Jabba’s decorations in its wanton pose. The lantern light glimmered off its massive tits, which dripped and oozed from where the Hutt’s salivating tongue had licked along its curves.
It had been reworked, she saw, noting the telltale signs where the metal of the torso had been heated to melting point and recast into new shapes, as well as the marks of chisels and augers about its flaunted womanhood.
Putting the sculpture out of her mind, she turned away, her voice heavy with defeat. “It’s no use. He’s not here…” she whispered to herself. “Han, wherever you are, I’m sorry. I tried.”
Sealed in carbonite, melted and remoulded as the statuesque slut, Han's open mouth could only scream silently as he watched his last hope turn and walk away.
