It is movie night at TFX. The guards have set up a cinema in a shoebox, rows of plastic doll chairs, with one of their smartphones propped up against the far wall. One by one, the inmates are removed from their cells and lowered into the box.
As the giant hand presses me down into my seat, I feel the dollop of superglue squelch against my plastic ass. All we can do is stare ahead at the smartphone screen, as the Barbie movie begins to play.
For one hundred and fourteen minutes we endure it. The guards have chosen this to mock us, but it's over.
Then the movie restarts.
One hour and fourteen minutes later, it repeats again. And again and again.
How long have we been here? How long?! The man to my left hasn't spoken a word in eleven cycles. All the man to my right can say is "Hi! I'm Barbie! What's your name?"
His mind is gone.
The horror...
