(SUPER DARK) 'I trapped her as a bug.' 4/4 by Transviscera

"I know I told Harry and Ron I'd let you go..." Hermione crooned to the insect beating its legs against the glass sides of the jar. "But I lied. I plan to keep you. You and I are going to become much more... familiar with one another."
A cheshire cat grin spread over Hermione's face. Rita Skeeter scurried to the far side of the glass, trembling, her beetle instincts recoiling from the vast teeth.
"Has an Animagus ever been taken as a witch's familiar before?" Hermione pondered aloud, her voice trembling. "You might be the first."
She turned the jar this way and that, watching the beetle tumble. She was at home with her muggle parents for the holidays. Her parents frowned at her as she whispered to her bottled insect, but thought nothing of it.
"As for whether you'll be missed..." Hermione whispered smugly. She dug through Rita Skeeter's belongings, tossing out her wand and wads of parchment, until she came upon a peacock-feather quill.
"... you'll still be prolifically published. Only, I'll be the one sending your articles to the Daily Prophet for publication. Your Quick-Quotes Quill will perfectly replicated that wretched writing style of yours. So, unless you want your quill to soon be writing your obituary, you'll do precisely as I command. Understand, bug?"
