This delightful woman, Miss Rebecca Atkins, self-admitted to the mental health department, claiming to be experiencing multiple personality disorder, which manifests sporadically as a secondary, male personality, often during the act of love-making with her fiancé. These episodes are isolated and rare, lasting only a few minutes, but the secondary personality is confrontational. After resolving, these episodes are often followed by prolonged periods of depersonalization, which Rebecca finds unpleasant.
These facts were confirmed by Rebecca’s fiancé, who attended with her and is keen to pursue treatment options.
I was unable to find Miss Atkins medical record on the system for some time until provided with ID. Somehow it appears Miss Atkins was incorrectly listed as deceased two years ago, which we have amended on the system. I note there is a family history of mental illness - her father is listed as attending a medical facility across the state, also with a diagnosis of DID, though I am unable to access the details of that medical record at this time.
Rebecca was held under observation for several days until the false persona manifested. It was indeed aggressive, claiming that it was the ‘real’ personality and that the fiancé was ‘using him for his body’ and ‘trying to erase him’. It began raving, demanding not to be left alone with the fiancé, until a dose of sedatives banished the false identity.
Regarding long-term treatment, hypnotherapy was trialled with only limited success. Treatment has been escalated to MRI-assisted electroshock therapy. Using scan taking during manifestations, we have isolated the parts of the brain producing this male persona, and will attempt to destroy it (or at the least remove its ability to manifest) using targeted electroshock to the neural tissue, leaving Rebecca as the sole personality in control.
Unfortunately the male persona has become aware of its own impending erasure and has become increasingly aggressive as the treatment date grows closer, making attempts to abscond. With Rebecca and her fiancé's approval, Miss Atkins is being held in restraints until that time.
