Not all of our cases are success stories. Not all our recipients are necessarily benevolent. People tend to assume that just because somebody is elderly, they’re harmless.
John Macgregor was neither especially old nor particularly infirm by the standards of typical recipients, but he was in a care home nonetheless. He had six sons. A few years ago he’d had a batch of ill health severe enough for the eldest to acquire power of attorney while he was laid up in hospital. His sons celebrated his full recovery by stripping his finances, transferring him into elderly care, and forgetting about him. The shock of the betrayal rendered him all but catatonic. No pun intended.
But then we came along, the Nine Lives Foundation, offering a second start in life, a chance to let bygones by bygones.
Looks can be deceiving, doubly so when you’re working with rejuve treatments. Sure, he might have looked like a cute, harmless kitten when we were done with him, played the part too. But he was a minx, stalking his sons like a lioness with a gazelle. Or like a cougar in heat.
One by one, he found his way into each of their beds, an exotic half-animal girl for them to play with. Some he tricked, concealing his identity from them until it was too late. Others took him knowingly, smugly even, relishing their conquest over him as they ravished his subhuman body.
The footage he released afterwards ended their careers, their marriages, and sent five of them to jail on zoophilia offences. They tried to countersue, claiming it was entrapment, but John was fine. After all, 'how could she be responsible for her actions?' 'She’s just an animal'. And he’d looked so adorable in court, even purred like a kitten when the judge reached down to pet his head.
Only the eldest escaped a jail sentence.  The story is that he fled town to escape the public humiliation of what he’d done with an animal. Certainly he was never seen again.
But there are nights where I lie awake thinking about the damage that pretty little thing could have done with his claws. Wondering, if he was willing to spread his legs for revenge, was there anything he wouldn't do?
