“Superman, listen to me,” Batman pleaded. “Whatever Luthor did to you, it changed you. You’re not in your right mind. Just put the Joker down. Don’t do something you’ll regret for the rest of your life.”
Tears sparkled in Superbimbo’s bright blue eyes as she recalled the love she and Lexxy had shared. Her fingers tightened around the Joker’s neck, his choking face turning from its pale white to purple, though the smile didn’t fade. On the contrary, the Joker appeared to find it all absolutely hilarious, kicking his legs with glee in the air as he hung from Superbimbo’s grasp.
The radiation detector in Batman’s suit was screeching. If he didn’t know any better, Batman could have sworn the device in Superman’s hand was a nuclear bomb. He could assume nothing else. His hand crept towards the green kryptonite in the lead lined pouch of his utility belt. So this was it. The day he’d always planned for but hoped would never come. He would have to kill Superman. For once, Batman felt unprepared. He’d brought a rock to a nukefight.
“He took everything from me,” Superbimbo sobbed.
Batman lunged, kryptonite in hand. He was only halfway across the room when she pressed the detonator, her kryptonian speed faster than anything he could match. The world erupted in searing pink light in an instant, blinding him, the shockwave hitting like a truck, throwing him through a series of brick walls as the police station crumbled around him. A firestorm of fushia flames spread out through Gotham City, consuming everything in its path.
As he crawled out from beneath the rubble, Bruce fought to block out the screams, to force himself to think rationally. He was still alive, so that wasn’t a nuke, so what was it? Why was his martial arts training telling him that his centre of gravity had instantly shifted an inch forward towards his chest, and 3 inches down towards his hips and ass. Why was a cascade of candyfloss-pink hair tumbling down across his vision from a crack in his cowl? And why was his armor turning a vibrant shade of pink as the flames licked at it?
