I reached for my head expecting to find the grisly aftermath of surgery. The reality was worse. No blood, no flesh at all in fact, only smooth, cold ceramic sculpted into a feminine face.
"Just a mask, don't think about it..." I gulped.
My hands leaped to my throat as the voice that emerged from my lips was not my own. It was female and gentle, distinctly robotic yet melodic too.
"Just a voice modulator."
My hands slowly drifted lower, fingertips grazing the curves of the soft, silicon mounds on my chest.
"Just prosthetics... Highly sensitive prosthetics. Don't think about it, just focus on escaping!"
My hips pistoned smoothly as I swung my legs over the side and turned for the door.
"Just me in a tube... Okay, this is really happening."
