It was sunny. It was hot. Tommy rested his chin against the wooden fence that divided his garden from Rhonda' and sulked. The elastic superheroine was sunbathing in the garden opposite, relaxing after a hard week of saving the City. Her heroic escapades were all over the newspapers and it was this fact that had marred Tommy's otherwise happy pastime of watching Rhonda sunbathing. He was jealous. Why couldn't he be a superhero?
Why couldn't he be a superhero? he thought, his bright mind and young face lighting up with a nefarious scheme.
"Tommy, I'm home!"
Perfect! He ran into the house to find his mother returned from shopping.
"Did you get it, mom? Did you? Did you?"
"Yes, I got it!" his mother sighed in exasperation, dumping her armfuls of shopping upon the worktop. She dug into one of the bags and produced a small plastic bottle of fresh Ginkgo extract. "I don't know why you like this stuff so much. You do know it's made of fruit, right?" she said, handing it to her son. It hadn't been easy to find, but at least it got him eating something with vitamins. In a flash, he'd disappeared back into the yard again.
The boy climbed silently over the fence and padded on bare feet towards the reclining body of Rhonda, smearing a generous amount of the Ginkgo to his skin as he approached. Rhonda tilted her head back as his shadow fell across her face.
"Tommy, not now, please. I've had a really -" She paused to sniff the air. "Is that Gink-"
Before she could say another word, Tommy had reached down and pushed his hand inside her mouth. She gagged but her movements were already hampered by the ginkgo. He had made sure to apply a large quantity of extract to his hand, so that when he pushed down on her lower jaw it stretched away from her face with ease. Working against it's natural inclination to spring back into place, he pulled her mouth wider, until the bottom lip was a full three feet from the top lip. Her eyes went wide to match; he was quite sure that she had an idea as to his plan even before he enacted it.
He sat down on the warm patio and inserted his foot into the poor Rubber Maid's mouth, then the other. He wasn't entirely sure how to go about this; but it would probably be best if he treated her like a pair of trousers. Her neck bulged as he forced his toes down the back of her throat but as they passed through her vocal chords they silenced her muffled protests nicely. By the time his feet were inside her chest, he was trying to pull her mouth up around his waist. After that, it became easier; he manoeuvred in further by pulling rolls of Rhonda up over his legs and pushing them further up his body, until eventually his feet were somewhere around her knees. Her mouth hung open just under his arm pits. He squeezed his arms close to himself before pushing them down her throat and wiggling them inside her own arms, so that he wore her hands like gloves. He pulled up the rest of her so that her open jaw was just under his neck, her head hanging behind him like a hood.
It was very warm inside. The gingko extract had worked admirably; there was next to no resistance as he wiggled his arms and legs inside Rhonda's arms and legs, moving them as though they were his own. The only sign of life from the Rhonda suit was the slight tickling of the vibration of her vocal chords against his neck. He laughed, partly because of the tickling, but mostly because he was so smart and Rhonda was so dumb. He peered over the edge of her pool and examined himself in the water.
Rats. There was a problem. The stupid Rubbermaid was too fat. She was baggy; her fingers and toes were empty at the ends and there were rolls of loose skin all over the place. He had half-hoped her natural elasticity would have taken in the slack but no luck. He sat down on the edge of the pool as he thought of a way to remedy this and was happy to notice the comfortable padding that Rhonda's patoot provided.
He couldn't grow to fit her(at least not as fast his patience would allow) but he was quite sure Rhonda could certainly shrink. But how? He knew clothes that his mother put in the dryer sometimes shrank, but he wasn't sure if the heat would melt her into a gooey puddle. Fun certainly but not helpful for his plans. Maybe...
He pulled his arms out of Rhonda's and wiggled his body until she slid off him into a rumpled pile about his feet. The ginkgo extract had rubbed off from him onto her insides and was enough to stop her moving. Her jaw snapped into place.
"Tommy, there are some lines you don't cross, and this is one ommfffmmm mmmmmmrff!"
He rolled her up head-first into a tight Rhonda-roll and carried her under his arm back into his house. A minute later he left through the front door, the rolled up woman stuffed into a large sports bag, her already muffled protests silenced by a well placed towel.
--------------------------
"Swimming pool, please."
"Child?" the receptionist at the swimming centre asked.
"For now," Tommy beamed.
The woman looked at him in some confusion but charged him a child and sent him on his way. He skirted the swimming pool, instead entering a room off to the side. A small wooden hut stood in the room among the gleaming white tiles. The sauna.
He staggered a little from the sudden outrush of steam as he entered. There were two benches against either wall; he was disappointed to see one of the benches was already taken up by a sprawling young man. He sat up as Tommy entered.
"A little small to be using a sauna, aren't you?" he smirked.
Tommy scowled back. "I'm not small!"
"Sure you're not, " the man laughed, ruffling the kid's hair as he left. The sound of his feet against the tiles headed towards the pool. Tommy waited until he heard the splash before unzipping the sports bag.
They wouldn't treat him this way when he became a superhero, Tommy grumbled to himself. Superheroes were treated with respect, he thought, unfurling Mord and removed the towel from her mouth.
"Tommy, don't even think about - "
"Put a sock in it," he said, forcing his foot down her gullet. That shut her up.
He wiggled his way back into his Rhonda suit. She was as pliable as ever but it still took a few minutes of tugging and stretching and wriggling, his heart pounding throughout in the fear that somebody might enter half-way. But he got the legs and arms and torso in place undisturbed, and finally pulled her head over his own. Her jaws sprang back into position over his own lips. No noise came from them, though the vibrations of her voice box against his skin, which he had taken to be her unvoiced objections, increased ten fold.
It was dark. For a moment, he fiddled with his new face until her eyes became aligned with his own. The light streamed in through her eyes, which was a relief; he'd bought scissors with him to cut eye holes with, but it seemed that wouldn't be needed. He waggled his head, feeling the weird inertia that his new hair gave him. He bounced up and down on the sauna bench, and watched his chest jiggling for minutes after. He waited.
Rhonda was struggling against the tingling sensation of the Ginkgo on her insides and the heat of the sauna against her outsides. The moisture was being drawn out of her bit by bit. As the lost moisture, she shrank. Tommy could feel it too. He almost jumped up with excitement at the slow constriction. Her skin grew tighter and tighter, her wrinkles and creases and folds disappearing, her limbs and digits shrinking to fit his proportions. He touched his face and felt it move exactly with his, and Rhonda's face beamed with uncontainable glee.
Soon she was like a second skin, and still growing smaller, becoming tight in areas but making up for it with her elasticity. Tommy didn't leave. Out of his sports bag, he drew the remainder of the Ginkgo extract.
"See, I think if I put this on here the steam will help work it in," Tommy spoke to Rubbermaid. "It'll be days before you'll be able to turn back, I reckon."
Rhonda doubled her squirming but she was, by now, far too taut. There was no escaping as Tommy dolloped the Gingko onto his leg and rubbed it in. The steam forced it into her pores, locking down her control over her flexibility like a vice.
The boy worked on his, or rather Rhonda's, legs, then her arms, and then chest, giggling throughout. But he struggled when it came to his back. He strained his arms as hard as possible, but never seemed to be able to sufficiently apply the stuff.
"I wish I had your flexibility," he grumbled to his new skin. He would be able to cover the area with Ginkgo juice eventually but it would require taking the Rhonda Suit off. And right now he was having too much fun.
The door opened. Tommy jumped, the half-full bottle falling from his hands. It was the man from before, returned from the swimming pool.
The man blinked in surprise at the sight of the petite but no-less-incredibly proportioned Rubber Maid seated among the steam. He had very much expected to still find the little twerp from before. He picked up the fallen bottle of lotion and presented it as galantly as possible to the woman before him.
"T-thanks."
"My pleasure," he smiled.
--------------------------
This was the life, Tommy thought blissfully, as the guy rubbed Ginkgo into his shoulders. The life of a superhero. Where people go out of their way to help you.
He was never going to give this up.
