Weiss Schnee could not recollect what happened. The last thing she could vaguely remember was being in a fight with Cinder’s group and her team. Bullets were shot and blades were swung. It was also the second time that they fought others on top of a moving train but the first time they did it on an icy mountain. It was a clash between her friends and their longtime rivals.
So the fact that she’s currently in some sort of fancy library completely fine and healthy didn’t make sense. It wasn’t as if she got knocked out and woke up as if it was all just a dream. Everything about those moments felt fresh in her mind as if it happened just moments ago. As if she had just zoned out for a moment and now found herself here. Heck, her ears are ringing from one of Yang’s shells hitting closer than she thought.
“But if I’m here are Ruby and the others also here?”
It was doubtful. The place was big but not too big. She would’ve heard footsteps or breathing already with how quiet the place is. Though usually Weiss would conduct herself to be more quiet in such a place but there doesn’t seem to be anyone here at all. Which would make sense since despite how grand this place is, there was little to do. The amount of bookcases that were empty contrasted with the idea of a library being a place to rent books. Her own mansion’s libraries would have more books and perhaps even her dorm room has more even if you disregard Blake’s collection of whatever she read naturally.
“Ruby’s definitely not here. She would be whining about this place already,”
Weiss scoffed, glancing from each bookshelf. Strange names. Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, on one corner. Warcraft, Final Fantasy, Deus Ex. Was that a genre or something? They all sounded strange, but maybe Ruby would be more interested in those. She couldn’t tell if they were comics or not. Still they were all strange names so maybe it was an international place? This place reminded her nothing of home.
Thankfully someone looked like they’d be able to help. The moment she stepped into a reception hall, she noticed a light haired woman on the desk, setting down some books and seemingly organizing them.
“Oh! Excuse me? Are you a worker here?”
The woman immediately turned towards her and looked surprised upon seeing her. Though the air around her immediately reminded Weiss of Glynda. It’s a sense of authority and commandeering that had charisma on it. Or at least a refined adult. She had a whole business suit lady thing going on for her. But the potential staff member did look confused.
“.... Are you here without an invitation?”
“An invitation?” If she wasn’t confused before she was more confused now. “I don’t think so? I’m actually not sure how I ended up here. Do you think I got an invitation and that’s how I ended up here?”
“Most peculiar. I must’ve left a hole while I was working here. Though I could feel that she’s not from the city. Maybe another place entirely? I didn’t even sense her presence till now.”
Was this weirdo even acknowledging her? The librarian was just talking to herself as if Weiss wasn’t there. How rude! Crossing her arms and stamping her foot loudly.
“Excuse me!” Speaking a bit more loudly, and to Ruby’s thoughts more high pitch, got the person’s attention. “You’re not doing a good job at all aren’t you? You’re just going to ignore someone who asked you a question?”
A pause. The librarian looked just as annoyed as her, but the way she acted hid it. The way she acted also ticked Weiss off.
“And to trespass and cause a ruckus here is what a ruffian would do wouldn’t you say? Children should know how to behave.” Oh that won’t stand.
“I- I am not just some ruffian or child!”
“My apologies. In that case perhaps a template basic rich bitch who strides wherever she goes uncaring for others. Was that to your liking?”
“The-NERVE OF YOU!!”
To say she was offended didn’t describe it enough. All of that said with a cool calm gaze made Weiss want to slap her. But she had to calm down! She was mature! She had to prove her wrong. She was calm, not willing to fight with weirdos no matter how rude they are.
“- well pardon me but I didn’t come here willingly! And the sooner I’m out here the better!”
“Until I find out how you got here I plan to keep you here.”
“What?! That’s kidnapping!! You can’t do that!”
“Relax. It won’t take longer than a few minutes. Really while you’re here you might as well read a book to fill out those missing brain cells of yours.”
Weiss opened her mouth. No. No. Don’t stab her. Calm down. You’re the Schnee heiress. You’re used to people being ignorant or stupid like this. This was not the time for battle. Besides, if she was going to be sent home (Boy she sure hoped) then she might as well wait. Not to mention she’s right anyway. Might as well read a book. Maybe this is just a dream of hers anyway. Still, this woman drove her insane.
“I would but I noticed you have a lack of books for a librarian.”
“That’s why I wasn’t expecting any guests yet. Still, look through these ones here.”
“Right,” Weiss rolled her eyes as she reached for one on the counter. This one had an interesting title. Book of Remnant. Huh. It even reminded her of the old era maps they used to make about the world. But at least this confirms she was still in her home country or at least had a link to it. She began to absent-mindedly read through it as she leaned on the counter. “How long is it going to take?”
“Not very long. It seems that you were affected by an anomaly of space and time and ended up here,” The woman was mostly beside her doing some… strange things? Are those glyphs or magic circles? It was unclear but it seems she was doing work after all. “No invitation to this library at all.”
“So this invitation is something that drags people away from where they are and into here?” Weiss furrowed her brows. She was focusing more on this book now. The history of this world was not exactly what she followed. Salem… a human woman. Two gods… the world. “This is a nice little fan novel.”
“It’s not a fan novel. It’s the history of a world.”
“... Wait really?”
“It’s merely a historical book classifying everything about Remnant’s history. From all their secrets, myths, and so on. I’m surprised you can read the language of this one. This one gave me a bit of trouble since it was a foreign book. So I suppose your origins came from that land itself.”
That.
That was big.
That was a treasure. It was no relic of the past but if that’s authentic then that would help out so much right now. It was impossible to read it all but when Weiss began to flip through the pages and skim certain chapters, she recognized events of the world. Vital things that happened in history of Remnant. Major things like the attack at Beacon. Everything was in great detail. This was the real deal.
“Well can I have that book? Since this is a library and all?”
“No.”
“Huh?? Why not?? I thought you lend books? Can I buy it then?”
“You’d have to fight me for it.”
“Don’t you function like a normal human??”
“Not one bit.”
This librarian is frustrating!!
“Is there any way you can give me that book at all??”
“I meant what I said when I said you had to fight me,”
Ah?
Wait. She was a fighter? Weiss seized her up. The woman had elegant and poise like Glynda yet had no aura of danger at all. If anything she was just annoying. Weiss was wondering if maybe this was just her idea of being kind but can’t do anything but be aggravating as much as possible.
“You can use any weapon or skill you have. Anything goes.”
“Are you absolutely sure?? I feel like this is a bit one sided.”
“Hm… You’re right. Alright. Let’s make it so that you only have to harm me once in that case.”
Huh? Wait, that’s-that’s even more ridiculous. Weiss almost hesitated. Could this weirdo be actually that strong? She didn’t even have a weapon nor did she … This has to be a bluff. There’s nothing else to explain it. Then again if she wanted to call off that bluff then she should scare her a little.
“You’re willing to just lend me that book the moment I hit you once?”
“Harm me,” The pale haired librarian simply said. “The moment you do so, I will give you the book and also send you back home.”
“Wow… Seriously?”
“Seriously.”
“Well… I’m a bit unsure of fighting a non Hunter but I suppose this is fine. Shall we start now?”
“We can start right now-”
Weiss decided to be a bit cheap.
Hunters can frequently dodge bullets. Even Sun back then deflected them in the past. They’re too fast to see them fight properly sometimes. The ‘challenge’ that Weiss had to harm her once wasn’t something she took seriously. That’s why despite her right hand reaching Myrtenaster, she actually swung her hand in an arm chop at her. That would’ve been more than enough to hurt and also to give an annoying librarian who belittled her a slap.

Instead she’s the one who’s hurt. Clenching her hand as if she just punched steel. Confusion filled her face as she held her hand, gritting her teeth. She should be fine. Her hand is always covered with aura so the fact that she struck this librarian, who was watching her in a near bored expression, was alarming. Wait-was she like Penny? The loud Clang and all?
“So that explains your weird attitude,” Weiss muttered softly as she stepped back. “No aura but strong enough to take any attack.”
Yeah if Penny was on the adorable side this one here would be on the more aggravating side.
“You weren’t planning to use your sword?” The woman pointed out. “Know that I’m not letting you only hit me repeatedly. Though judging you from a hit like that… I don’t think you’d be able to harm me no matter what you do.”
“You really do love being as annoying as possible! So you’re really a robot then?”
Oh. That was a cold look. Did she piss her off?
“Well it wouldn’t hurt to tell you,” An almost ominous smile on her face. “My name is Angela. I’m the head Librarian of this place. Though I may be a robot I aim to please. And I see you were stalling and trying to get me to talk while you charged that up?”
“Correct!”
A magic glyph had started to manifest the moment Weiss started to talk. That brief conversation alone was enough of a stall for it to start glowing. Yellow cackled around her as the Dust she gathered into Myrtenaster worked. Lightning scattered as she lunged forward, gathering her aura! This time there was no defending. Weiss had moved faster than a bullet, striking into Angela’s shoulder! If this was someone like Penny then they would be fine from an attack like this, but not to the level that they would be unharmed. Weiss hoped she would stay true to her word but either way, this was a direct hit!

Yet it didn’t even budge her as Angela tilted her body towards Weiss’ weapon. That. That should’ve at least done something. Instead Weiss felt herself stagger in surprise, especially on seeing Myrtenaster break into two. Her most prized weapon breaking apart like that should’ve been impossible. Her aura was depleted from having that attack ‘deflected’
“H-how-”
“Sigh. That seems like your strongest attack… Let me finish this.”
Even while stunned and horrified Weiss reacted. Hunters should always be ready and adaptable. She could still fight with dust and her summons. Jumping back, Weiss prepared for Angela’s counterattack. Raising her aura to focus on defense and trying to observe Angela as she raised her hand and-
SNAP
Weiss exploded with a burst of pages. It was near instant. The huntress student barely even comprehended what happened. Her eyes were briefly wide as she saw her hand holding the remnants of her weapon began to turn to golden pages. Then it rapidly scattered as everything else did the same, and her whole body- er- pages- began to float towards Angela’s hands. In a moment that was simple and not flashy, Weiss Schnee’s existence has been turned into a book. A small white colored book that now landed on Angela’s hands.
Book of Weiss Schnee, Rarity Common.
“I see. You have some potential but you’re nothing more than a low level find,” Angela disappointedly said as she opened the book. There the first page showed Weiss Schnee. A confident look and an elegant pose as she had Myrtenaster out on her hand. The first pages alone described Weiss’ physical appearance and personality in great detail. But consistently, Weiss’ portrait always manifested at the top left of the page.
What mattered the most was when Angela flipped slightly to the end. There her entire moment of arriving there was described. But at the very last page… no. That would be a lie. More and more pages manifested as Weiss’ current fate and current thoughts were revealed. Reaching all the way up to her current state, with a notable dialogue shown.
‘What?!?! What did you do to me?!?! I-- I’m alive-- but I feel like I’m in a dream-’
“Winner takes the spoils,” Angela simply said, reading through Weiss’ new reactions to converse. “I wager a book that would undoubtedly help you. You wagered your own book. As meager and pitiful it is. It seems my book was more valuable to you though.”
‘But this- what kind of- this must be an illusion!! I can feel you going through my pages!! Also, wait-did you call me meager and pitiful?!’
“I will note that you’re the first person to ever be resistant enough to interact with me. Perhaps this is a sign that you can perform well as a Librarian. But you are much too unrefined so I’ll have to fix that.”
‘If you plan to torture me you won’t succeed! This might be the weirdest attempt yet but I’m not gonna just lose-- are you holding another book?’
The book of a Maid
The book of a Lady of the Night
The book of a Fool
“Of course,”
One of them was beginning to meld with Weiss’ book.
‘Hold on-- are those people like me too!?’
Angela was actually beginning to change her opinion of Weiss’ intelligence if she was fast enough to figure that out. It wasn’t dumb as a brick and might be a slightly below an average person after all.
“I happened to have strange visitors. They aren’t official invitations but they are certainly not intruders like you.”
Angela raised a brow as the book finally combined fully with Weiss.
There was a change on the Huntress’ photo. In an instant, Weiss’ clothing flickered before they manifested into some sort of maid outfit. There were some similar color designs as her previous attire but they were minimal. Instead of her signature weapon Myrtenaster she now held some sort of feather duster with a similar design to it. Her image in the book was now of a servant, no longer carrying the domineering charisma of a Schnee, instead a more subservient but elegant look.
“Ah there. You look more refined now.”
‘WHAT THE HELL IS THIIIIIIIS?! WHAT DID YOU DO!???’
“I figured you’d act like that. But if it’s not obvious I combined someone else’s book with yours. Or rather fragments of theirs. Now I have made it so you would be a perfect maid.”
‘A maid!?!? I’m not just someone you can order around!!‘
“Of course. I just want to enforce this for you to be more obedient. Your book is surprisingly hard to edit. In fact you should be more respectful and not have an angry tone when you’re furious. Apologize.”
‘Apologies. My current situation has had me furious at you treating me as nothing more than your toy and changing me like this. Ah. Talking like this makes me want to scratch out my throat.’
Weiss was twitching in the picture. There was no way she would’ve voluntarily said any of that. Being turned into a book like this and being changed like this. Was this a Semblance? A nightmare? This can’t be… This might really be reality.
‘W-wait!! No this - I should be mad!!! I’m very- much sorry for being mad- NO I AM MAD-at being unable to hold my emotions in check.’
Memories of being a servant had indeed intruded on Weiss’ mind. They shouldn’t exist but here they are.
There was that one time she and Whitley in their past played a prank on a noble-
There was that one time she apologized to a noble and scolded Whitley for playing a prank on him.
No!! Wait!! Winter! Winter was teaching her how to fight with her Summons! How to actually use glyphs to do those-
No!! That’s not it! Winter was asking her to give her beverages while Winter trained by herself, all while she watched in awe and even asked if she could try to cast.
That can’t be it either!! But -- a maid can’t become part of the Beacon Academy!! If she was just a maid, then why was she appointed to team R?BY to ensure that they are well protected and maintained, to avoid every battle!
There was also the time she officially began to work under Angela but she never even remembered that!!!

Weiss couldn’t believe it. It was as if something was blocking her mind. Trying to recall after, to dig deeper into those memories failed. Attempting to try and find inconsistencies was easy at first. But each time she did it felt like those were being patched up and in mere seconds each of them were altered and fixed to the point that she was beginning to question her own history. The expression that was once confident and determined on the Weiss image had wavered into a doubtful hesitant one.
‘You---- you’re… this level of mind control… Are you working for Ironwood?’
“That’s an amusing name,” That was a no. But more worryingly Angela held up another book. “Are you ready for the next one?”
‘EEK-WAITWAITWAIT-AH!’
Each time Angela melded another book into Weiss’ own, her book increased in volume.
But something else increased this time too. Her own attire began to grow skimpier. Not because Angela was altering her clothing but rather her body was changing. She could feel every bit of her form beginning to flickering as the feeling of having ‘more paper’ be pressed onto her. Her hips began to reach childbearing level and hugged the stockings she had always worn. Her skirt shortened to a level that she would never go fo-shortened to a level that was now properly what she always had. Her derriere being easily exposed on their fancy white panties if a slight breeze blew up her skirt. Shit. This was just like Ruby’s mangas that she had to clean up.
A strained expression formed on Weiss’ photo as she pushed down her apron with one hand, trying to cover as much of her now meaty hips. But they were ‘pushed off’ as her bosom was the one to receive more pages. At the same time she could feel something change. Memories of how well she can fight and cast magic being squashed down as ‘servicing’ in another way began to form. Weiss only had minimal knowledge of sex. Frankly she thought it was normal but she wasn’t going out of her way to reach Blake’s level of understanding with smut and erotica. But if she was a 1 out of 100 before, she was rapidly heading to 100! With every bit of her breasts sizing up, a combat technique with her blade is thrown away in favor of a technique of a paizuri- ahhhh-Weiss shook her head. This was even lewder!
‘But-I was always a proud Huntress… I’m not … this is!’
“Aren’t you a maid? It’s really strange how you can resist mental changes so much.”
A cleavage hole manifested as her breasts now outdid Yang. No. Winter’s. She was bustier than her older sister but had not even a single technique that would put her on her level. Weiss couldn’t even conceive a method of beating Whitley! Her cover photo is now a voluptuous white haired maid that most wouldn’t dare compare to the elegant Weiss. But at least it was finished. The frustrated Weiss had an expression of pure defeat now.
Why wouldn’t she? Despite how much she hated this, she could tell. Everything about this feels like it has always been the case.
‘Wait wait wait please I give up!! I’m not going to try and get the Book of Remnant anymore!! But please undo this!! I won’t bother you!! I’ll apologize!! I’m so sorry for disrespecting you Miss Angela!! Just let me go back!!’

“Weiss Schnee.”
The cover photo looked hopeful as Angela began to speak softly. Holding her now larger book and gently placing her on the counter. Was she perhaps considering what to do?
“I think you’re right. I should undo this before I send you back,” !! There!! That was it! Finally! Yes!! “I admit I didn’t expect these changes to happen. At the same time I really do want to help you by lending you this book since it’s clear how much you want it.”
!!! Even better! Weiss was relieved! This was such a strange thing to feel but finally she can go back!! Not to mention she’s helping her!! This person was kind after all~! She wasn’t just a mean hag after all~!
Angela visibly twitched.
“However, don’t get me wrong. I plan to undo this only when I have my own collection of books after dealing with you.”
‘Ah~?... ah?’
“Sigh. It seems your mind truly is stupid. I need to collect others like you before I send you back. So you’re staying here for awhile. But you will return eventually.”
‘Wait others like m-’
“And it’s rude to call others a hag.”
Angela had no mercy this time. She slammed the book of a fool.
SLAM!!!
Angela had been gentle with combining books. Implementing key pages like that is important in order to make sure the changes don’t become permanent or warped. If you forcefully cram two parts of a machine together it might end up damaging the system after all. Especially if they have opposing effects like Weiss with any of the current books.
But with how immensely dense and stupid Weiss can be, even demanding from her and throwing a causal insult…
Well. This was reasonable.
Weiss didn’t have much time to react as the book was instantly added to her.

This was a seamless change. Mind you, to Weiss it was the equivalent of ramming another person into her. There was no aura to defend her. She was fully vulnerable mentally as another one’s mind was implanted to her. Her photo only showed a brief startled look-before it warped into a wide confused smile. Her eyes showed spirals reminiscent of icy snowflakes, as if her mind was like snow now fluttering in different directions. Or so Angela would say but that was ridiculous. There was no mind to warp there at all and Weiss would ‘act as normal’ if not be more gullible.
There was a slightly different change in Weiss’ body as her top began to truly strain. Her hips plumper than before to really dig into those stockings. The remnants of her mind had to go somewhere after all and those extra pages simply needed to be used to describe how wonderfully gullible and how large Weiss was. It was a change that was swift and barely needed mention. Perhaps at another time and another victim Angela would read the book more, but this was enough.
“There. Perhaps now you wouldn’t insult the person in front of you so much. My Librarian Maid Weiss Schnee”
‘... Ghk… I’m your Librarian!? That’s not right!! I’m something else!! I’m---I’m--’
“Something better. You’re right. You’re my librarian whom I can call to clean up and have sex with at night,” Angela said all of that in monotone. Weiss really was resilient against mental changes but…
‘Y-yeah! Exactly! Hmph!! Don’t underestimate my greatness in all of my techniques-’
“See? Barely a change in your idiocy.”
The book was slammed shut while Weiss was busy prattling on. The book would need time to settle. Once she brought out Weiss though she would be more cooperative now that she was a gullible maid. The sex was optional but it could be a fun treat from time to time. Still, this wasn’t a fantastic find so early in her library’s opening. But this was a start. Both the Book of Remnant and Book of Foolish Maid of the night Weiss Schnee would be a good bait for many.
“I’m sure I can find better candidates than this with this book alone.”
There would indeed be many more like Weiss that would suffer this fate.
