Karen fiddled with the device for another moment.
“Well now…I think we know exactly what we’re going to do with this.” The Giantess smiled maliciously as she pointed the small device downward toward the unconscious woman. She pressed a button and a thin, blue beam fired out of the device. It struck the agent in the back and, to the horror of the two tiny women, Agent Miles slowly began to shrink.
“Oh no!” Kayla wailed as she watched their salvation slowly get smaller before their very eyes. Karen kept the device pointed at the woman, stealing away more and more of her size until she was just about the same size as the other four girls. She released the button and the blue beam disappeared.
“Aww,” Karen said with a booming laugh. “Small and cute just like you two.” Kayla felt her heart sink as the hope she had felt mere moments ago was snatched away before her very eyes.
“Uhhhhh…”
The small woman on the ground let out a small moan. Lily’s eyes went wide.
“Oh my gosh!” she squeaked, running over to Agent Miles who was just beginning to stir. “Are you alright?!”
Agent Miles pushed herself up, rubbing the back of her head as she came to.
“What the heck hit me?” she said, her voice now high and tiny just like the other shrunken women. She paused, her eyes opening up as she heard herself.
“Wait a minute,” she said, realizing something was wrong. She sat back on her haunches, looking straight ahead at Kayla and Lily who now appeared to be normal sized to her. She started to smile until the background came into focus, and she realized that the three of them were sitting on the floor of a gigantic living room.
“Crap,” she said. She stood up and rubbed the back of her head again. She looked at the other two doll sized women.
“She shrunk me…didn’t she?” The other two just nodded. Veronica Miles sighed.
“Don’t worry, I’ll handle this,” she said in her still high voice. She turned around and found herself face to face with Karen’s gigantic ankles. She craned her head, staring up at the Giantess. She put her arms on her hips and tried her best to speak with authority.
“Ma’am, your behavior is absolutely unacceptable. You will return me and these other women to our normal sizes immediately.”
Karen responded with laughter.
“I’m sorry, but are you serious? You’re like…seven inches tall. What makes you think you get to call the shots?”
Agent Miles narrowed her eyes.
“Assaulting a federal agent…unlawful shrinking of a federal agent…not to mention anything else you may have done to these other women. You are already way over your head here, Karen,” she said, emphasizing the Giantess’s name.
“Now enlarge us at once and I just may be willing to forget about this little incident.”
Karen stared down at the doll-sized woman for a moment, her face completely neutral. Veronica held her ground, trying her best to stare down her colossal opponent and trying her hardest not to show how nervous she truly felt. Which is why her heart dropped as she watched the woman level the ray back down in her direction.
“Wait,” she said, holding up her hands, but Karen had already pulled the trigger.
“No!” Agent Miles squeaked as she felt her body tingling. Kayla and Lily watched as the agent shrunk again, getting smaller and smaller until she was barely even as high as their own ankles. Agent Miles had been reduced to the size of a doll for dolls.
“You’re in real trouble now!” she squeaked in the tiniest squeak. She pointed her teeny finger up at the absolutely titanic mother.
“Now change me back before you-ACK!”
Karen’s massive foot raised up in the air and Lily and Kayla watched with horror as the Giantess pressed her big toe down on the tiny, inch-high agent. Veronica squeaked pathetically as she was completely covered in Karen’s toe flesh.
“Or what?” Karen said with a deep laugh. She pressed her toe down on the tiny little agent, feeling the miniscule woman flailing beneath her toe. She laughed again as she stared down at the other two women.
“And are you two going to continue to be good…or do I need to squish you under my toes as well?”
Lily shuddered, visibly shaking in place as she stared up at the cruel woman. Kayla shook her head frantically back and forth.
“Good,” Karen said. She pressed down one last time and Lily cringed as she heard the tiny woman beneath the gigantic toe cry out in pain. The next moment, Karen released her. She laughed a cruel laugh and looked down at the ray again.
“This is excellent…thank you for bringing this to me,” she said. Lily shot a glance toward the tiny body of the agent and let out a sigh of relief that the woman was still breathing.
“I wonder if I could….” Karen started to say when suddenly the ground began to shake and, moments later, the large form of Natalie entered the room.
“There Mama!” she said, pointing triumphantly toward her mother. Karen turned around, spying her young daughter holding the other two doll-sized women in her hands. Karen smiled warmly.
“Aww, have you been having fun?” she asked her little girl.
“Uh huh!” Natalie answered with a huge smile. She thrust out her arms in which she was still holding Trisha and Sam.
“I got my dollies!”
Karen laughed.
“Mama has them too…but Mama needs to go and do something now. Will you be okay playing with your dollies for a few minutes?”
“Yay!” Natalie said with excitement. Karen looked down at the other shrunken women.
“After all…you can all babysit her, right?” she laughed. She gave Natalie a small hug before leaving the room. No sooner had her mom left, Natalie stared down at the little women. She frowned a moment as she looked at her hands, each of which currently held a doll woman.
“Wait here, dollies!” she said with excitement. As she turned to leave, Trisha cupped her hands.
“Are you okay?!” she squeaked down at her friends and the extra small stranger that she had only just noticed. Lily had just enough time to flash her friend a thumbs up before the excited little girl went bounding away back toward her room. Lily turned and ran toward the body of Agent Miles, crouching down before the even tinier woman.
“Are you alright?” she asked. Veronica Miles opened her eyes, her eyes going slightly wider as she realized how large Lily looked to her now.
“Oh god I’m small,” she said. Lily frowned.
“Yea,” she said. “I’m sorry.”
“Not your fault,” Agent Miles said. The inch-high woman sat up, looking up into Lily’s eyes.
“At this size, I’m extremely vulnerable. So protocol requires that I ask you to…um…” she coughed nervously before continuing.
“Would you please pick me up?”
Lily blushed a little but did as she was asked. She reached down and very gently scooped the tiny woman up into her hand, her fingers wrapping around the tiny woman’s torso as she lifted her up. Kayla approached, and both small women stared at the even smaller woman who was the size of a doll to them.
“So, what do we do now?” Kayla asked. Agent Miles stared up at the two huge shrunken women.
“To be honest with you…I don’t know. We need to take a moment to come up with a plan.”
Kayla frowned and Lily sighed.
“You two have been here longer than me…working together, I’m sure we can come up with some sort of plan within the next six hours.”
Lily raised an eyebrow.
“Why? What happens in six hours.”
Agent Miles.
“I can’t tell you too much, but according to the mission brief, if I can’t extract you within six hours…they are going to shrink the entire house and extract us that way.”
Lily looked surprised.
“That’s a good thing, yes?” she said. “It just means we need to survive six more hours?”
Agent Miles shook her head.
“For the house, Karen and the little girl…it’ll be fine. But for already shrunken subjects, repeat exposure to the…um…source of shrinking they are going to use carries a risk of permanency.”
Kayla’s eyes went wide.
“You don’t mean….”
Agent Miles nodded, a grim expression on her face.
“If we can’t get that shrink ray back and enlarge ourselves within six hours, you two could be stuck anywhere between one and six inches tall…forever. And I…I will probably not survive.”
Lily could feel herself shaking. She could tell that the woman in her hand could feel it.
“So,” Agent Miles said, trying her best to put on a smile, but only managing a fake little smirk.
“No pressure…right?”
