"I'm home!" Katy announced as she closed the door. She kicked off her shoes and dropped her keys into the basket by the door.

"Sara! Elisa! I'm back!" she cried out again as she made her way upstairs. She walked down the short Hall into the playroom and looked around. Neither of them were there. She peeked into Sara's room as well, but they weren't there either.

"Girls?" she called out as she descended the stairs. Going into the kitchen, she noticed that the back door was open. She peered outside onto the patio and spotted Sara. The little girl was happily coloring on the concrete with her chalk and, given the size of the rather unfocused mural, had been at it for some time. She didn't see Elisa for the first few moments, but the cup of water on the island sitting next to the bottle of regrowth pills told her that she probably wouldn't be far from from Sara.

"Hi sweetie!" Katy said as she walked out onto the patio. Sara turned and her eyes lit up immediately.

"Mama!" she shouted as she jumped up and scampered over, throwing herself against Katy. Katy laughed as she gave her daughter a big hug.

"Haha I'm happy to see you too! Are you looking forward to the weekend?"

Sara nodded happily. "Can we go to the park? And then get ice cream! And and and…."

Katy laughed as she gently brushed her daughter's hair.

"First thing's first Sara: where's Elisa?"

Sara’s eyes went a little wide and her face drooped. It was the look that Sara would get whenever she knew she had done something wrong. At the same moment, she began to hear a soft, muffled squeaking noise coming from somewhere nearby. Katy looked her daughter straight in the eye.

“Sara,” she said in a soft, yet commanding voice. “Where is Elisa?”

Sara sheepishly opened the snap on the front of her overalls and reached her hand inside, drawing out the tiny, five inch form of Elisa. The shrunken nanny waved her hands, squeaking up at Katy.

“Oh thank god you’re here! I’ve been stuck in there for over half an hour!”

Katy smirked. It was hard not to given the day that the nanny seemed to have had: She was dressed from head to toe in a poofy, blue doll’s dress with lines of different colored chalk powder streaked across the surface of both the dress and Elisa’s tiny face. Her hair was messy, and there was at least one gob of some sort of cereal...probably corn flakes...stuck to her usually clean, black locks. Katy shook her head.

“Sara, do you want to tell me what happened here, or should Elisa?”

Sara stared up at her mother like a deer in headlights as Elisa piped up.

“D-don’t be too mad at her. She was a really good girl today, honestly! She’s been good pretty much all week so I told her that I would become a doll for her today. It started off well enough playing inside, but then she got hungry...then she got bored...then she wanted to play outside and at one point she just stopped listening….”

Katy nodded as the miniature woman described the day’s activities to her, allowing her to slowly understand how Elisa had ended up in the state she was in. She turned to her daughter.

“Sara, did Miss Elisa say that you could play with her?”

Sara nodded.

“And did Miss Elisa later ask you to make her big again?”

Sara frowned and slowly nodded.

“And what is the rule when someone asks to be made big again?”

“You give them the get-big pill….” Sara said softly, guilt showing on her tiny face.

“That’s right,” Katy said. After the accident with the at-home shrinking solution, Petite Play Inc. had given her a nice settlement which included access to free product for life, so situations like this were not necessarily uncommon in her house anymore. Still, Sara knew the rules regarding shrinking and safety, but Katy didn’t feel like disciplining her right now, especially since the little girl looked like she felt really bad.

“Give Elisa to me,” Katy said, putting out her hand. Sara gingerly handed over the doll-sized woman, placing her gently in Katy’s palm. Elisa sighed with relief as Katy smiled.

“Now, Elisa said you were a really good girl this week, so even though I am very disappointed you did not listen to her today, I’m willing to let this pass. But you will do better next time, right?”

Sara nodded.

“Alright Sara...go play. It’ll be dinner soon enough.”

“Yay!” yelled the five year-old as she went back to coloring with chalk. Katy went back inside, bringing Elisa along for the ride.

“I’m sorry, Elisa. I guess Sara really got carried away.”

Elisa let out a tiny laugh.

“It’s alright...I’ve had worse.” She thought about it a moment before continuing. “Well, not really, I mean her birthday was worse, but as a nanny, I’m sort of used to having food in my hair.”

“You’re a saint,” Katy said as she entered the bathroom. She plugged up the sink and ran a warm bath as Elisa removed the dirty doll’s dress, revealing her tiny, yet curvy form. Katy tried hard not to stare as she turned off the water.

“Thanks Katy,” Elisa said as she slipped into the sink, the chalk dust washing off immediately as she dove, trying to rub the milk and cereal from her hair. A few minutes later she was finished and Katy gently dried her off with a washcloth.

“Let’s get you back to normal size,” Katy said as she put out her hand. Elisa climbed in, her soft bottom resting in Katy’s palm as she headed back toward the kitchen.

“Are you available this weekend, by the way?” Katy asked. “I’d like to take a dose myself, probably down to Sara’s height and it would be good to have an actual adult around.”

Elisa smiled. “I’d be glad to,” she said as Katy placed her on the island and reached for the regrowth pills. The screen door opened and Sara trudged in.

“Ooo, Mommy, are you going to be a doll again too?” she said excitedly.

“No Sara, not tonight. Now go wash your hands, it’s time for dinner.”

Sara scampered up the stairs and Katy felt a pair of tiny hands on her finger. She turned and saw Elisa looking up at her.

“I changed my mind. Maybe I could stay like this through dinner? Then tonight, after Sara goes to sleep...maybe we could play a slightly different game?”

Elisa winked and Katy felt her cheeks flushing.

“Well...okay,” Katy said, giggling nervously, trying to not think about how pink her face probably looked to the tiny woman. “You know, one of these nights, we should go out on a real date.”

Elisa smiled. “True...but then you’d have to get another babysitter!”

Katy laughed as she gently took Elisa into her hand, planting a kiss on the tiny woman’s head as she took her back upstairs, bumping into her daughter on the way.

“Miss Elisa is going to stay small after all. Why don’t you pick out something nice for her?”

Sara squealed.
