Scarlet cracked open the fridge as she listened to Krissy's happy laughter out in the living room, the high pitched squeaks of the now doll-sized Evelyn cutting through the occasional moments of silence. She smiled as she pulled out the eggs.
"It's so nice that my sister came to visit," she said to her husband.
He laughed. "Yes, Krissy is certainly having an amazing time. Oh...crap."
He frowned, going through the meat drawer. "I forgot to pick up the patties." He looked at his watch.
"I think the store is open this morning. If I go now, I can be home in thirty minutes."
Scarlet nodded. "Alright. Breakfast can wait a bit. See you when you get home."
As her husband headed out, Scarlet moved back to the living room. She made her way over to where Krissy was playing in her dollhouse with her tiny doll-aunt. Scarlet knelt down and grinned at her sister who was now dressed in a ridiculously, shiny, poofy blue dress.
"Aww, Evie, you look adorable," she laughed.
Evelyn looked up at her gigantic sister and scowled. "Scarlet, this isn't funny! In the last ten minutes I've been picked up, pulled, squeezed, stripped and shoved into this, this...THIS!" she pointed down at the ridiculous princess dress. Scarlet laughed again and reached down, patting the tiny little woman. Evelyn slapped her finger with her tiny hand and growled.
"Evie, manners! Krissy is in the room!" Scarlet said. Evelyn huffed and crossed her arms.
"Auntie Evie, you're so pretty now! The cutest!" Krissy laughed as she grabbed her aunt. The little woman squeaked as the little fingers closed around her waist, hoisting her up into the air. Krissy picked up her small, doll's brush and began brushing her aunt's hair.
Scarlet laughed again.
"Don't worry, we'll enlarge you right after breakfast." Scarlet said as she stood up and walked away. She went back to the bookcase and reached up to grab the ray so she could plug it in to charge. She would hate for it to be out of batteries when needed, leaving poor little Evelyn small for a lot longer.
She reached up and grabbed the ray, pulling it off the shelf. The edge caught the bookshelf and Scarlet fumbled it, feeling it drop out of her fingers as she made a grab for it with her other hand. She failed to halt its fall and the device struck the floor, plastic and metal cracking as a blue beam fired from the emitter, striking Scarlet. The woman shrieked as she instantly began to shrink. She lost height rapidly, watching the world balloon around her as she dwindled away, the effects finally stopping as she reached just below 1 foot. She gasped as she looked around the room and at the ray, which was making an odd popping noise. She rushed over.
"Crap oh crap oh crap, please don't be broken!" she yelled, immediately noticing her high, squeaky voice as she reached the ray. The screen was flickering behind a small crack in the glass.
"Crap!" she squeaked as she suddenly heard a series of loud booms behind her. A shadow fell across the ground and she gulped, slowly turning around. Krissy was standing right behind her, the titanic little girl looking down and her mother with excitement.
"Oh my gosh! TWO dollies! Auntie and Mommy!" the little girl announced excitedly. Scarlet's eyes went wide as she cautiously stepped away from her gigantic daughter.
"Krissy, Mommy got shrunk by accident. Can you take me to the kitchen so I can call Daddy please?"
Krissy wasn't listening as she ran forward, her feet booming again as she scooped up Scarlet in her hand. Scarlet screamed, her voice nothing more than a pathetic little squeak as she was raised into the air. Krissy carried her mother over to the doll house and dropped her down. Scarlet plopped down next to her sister, looking up at the woman who was more than an inch taller.
Evelyn burst into laughter. "HA! Look who's the tiny one now, little Scarlet?!?!!" She patted her sister on the head as she looked down at her. Scarlet felt her face burning as she blushed hard.
"Hey, I was checking the ray for your benefit," Scarlet said with a gulp as she stared up at Evelyn.
"Yea, a benefit that I wouldn't need if you hadn't shrunk me in the first place!"
"Don't fight, dollies!" Krissy shouted, her voice rolling over the women in a wave. The squabbling women immediately ceased, looking up at the huge child before them. Krissy smiled.
"That's better!" she said as she held up a pink, doll-sized shirt with a rainbow and a unicorn on it. Scarlet's jaw dropped as Evelyn burst into laughter.

Scarlet wrinkled her nose as she put the huge piece of scrambled egg into her mouth, chewing the milky food as she watched her husband talk on the phone. Krissy happily devoured her food in massive quantities as Evelyn nibbled on her tiny slice of sausage patty.
"Uh huh, okay. Yes, I understand. Alright, thanks," David said as he hung up the call. He sighed as he turned to the table, taking a seat. The two tiny women stood up in anticipation.
"What did he say?" squeaked Scarlet.
"He said, ah...that he thinks he can fix it, but I can't drop it off until Monday."
Scarlet's jaw dropped. "Monday?! That's three days! You mean we're going to be stuck at this size for three days?"
David nodded, rubbing his head. "Yes hun, uh...probably longer. Might take a few days to fix."
Scarlet slumped down as Evie glared at her.
"This is all your fault!" she hissed as she stomped away, her tiny feet making tiny taps on the table top.
"Look on the bright side," David said as he looked at his diminished wife. "At least Krissy is going to have a great time."
Krissy grinned. Scarlet sighed. It was going to be a long week....
