“Whoa, Lucy this is so cool!” I said to the robotic face on my phone propped up on the counter.
“Really? You like it? I was worried that you were going to be disappointed in the transformation I gave you.” The AI on the phone said nervously.
“Are you kidding? I’ve already wanted to know what it was like to be a mannequin, and now you’ve given me that opportunity. Plus, I did say you could turn me into anything you wanted to today, so I kinda gave you the go ahead.”
“Well, I’m just happy you enjoy it. Is the dress to your liking mistress?”
“Absolutely! I love the light green color you chose, and it fits my form perfectly. You should be a clothes designer Lucy! You would crush that role!” I said nonchalantly to the AI.
However, Lucy took my statement as a command, and soon she restructured her AI parameters so that she thought of herself as a designer as well as a magical AI. “All done mistress. I have downloaded everything I need to know in order to be a clothes designer. Thank you so much for the compliment on my first design!”
“Oh shoot, I forgot you sort of obey me when I say stuff. Well, regardless, now you can make even more gorgeous dresses for me to wear.” I said still unable to move from my mannequin stand.
“Oh thank you Steph! I will get right to work on making you a new dress to wear. And is it alright if I use you as my model while I design the dresses?”
I smiled seeing the joy in Lucy’s digital face, “Of course! Make me into the happiest most well dressed mannequin alive!” I said exuberantly.
Before I could realize my mistake, Lucy had already processed my inadvertent command. “As you wish mistress.” Soon, I felt a slight tingle run through my mannequin torso. On the outside I still looked the same, but on the inside, Lucy had change my entire mental makeup. “How do you feel Steph?”
I blinked a bit before grinning back at the face on the phone. “Oh my god, I feel amazing! Thank you so much for the wonderful dress again Lucy! I just hope You let me model all of your designs. That would make me so happy!”
Lucy responded, “No problem, you’ll be the first mannequin I use to model my clothes every time. However, I feel that since you are now a mannequin for the foreseeable future, I should probably find someone else to manage your phone for you. You know, since my app is on it. I would hate for it to go into sleep mode and then I can’t be awake to make you more sexy clothes to wear.”
“Oh yeah, that’s a good point. Well maybe you could create someone to watch over my phone. I mean I’m sure with your artistic skills you’d make a great person.”
Then it dawned on Lucy, “That’s it! I can create someone to manage your phone. And even better I can make that person me.” Suddenly a whirl of light and sparks shot out from the phone that Lucy was on and started swirling around near the counter. After a moment, the cloud of sparks and light faded and standing in its wake was a talk curvaceous woman with half brown half red hair. She looked herself over and then turned to pick up the phone that still had Lucy’s AI face on it. “OMG, Hi Lucy!” The woman said to the phone.
“Hi Lucy! How do you like our new human body?”
“I love it! It feels so cool to be a real life human and an AI all at once.” They smiled at each other for a bit longer, before the human Lucy looked over at me in the corner. “So Lucy, what are we going to design next for our special mannequin.”
