“Alright, you’ve had your fun Crystal. I believe you now that you have magical powers. Can you please turn me back to normal? This is so weird.” I said telepathically to my apparently magical best friend Crystal. She talked about her special abilities all the time, but I always laughed at her for making up such ridiculous stories about transforming things. Well, today I invited Crystal over to help me with an art project, but I had forgotten to buy stencils to help me out. She told me she could help out by using her magic to make me any kind of stencil I wanted. Obviously I laughed at her and sarcastically said she could use her mystical powers to make me any kind of stencil she wanted. Apparently that was the last straw for Crystal, and she decided to give me a first hand look at what her powers can do. After I floated off the ground, a swirl of gold light surrounded me, and then suddenly I was unable to move, and I felt very flat and hollow at the same time. I quickly found out what Crystal did to me when she picked me up and showed me in a mirror that she had turned me into a one of a kind art stencil of my likeness. I was still fuming after Crystal didn’t acknowledge my telepathic plea to change back. “Hello? Crystal come on. I get it, I’m sorry for not believing you. But you have to admit hearing your friend say they have magic powers sounds pretty silly?”
After I got over the shock of being inanimate, Crystal gave me a frustrated look. “It doesn’t sound silly when you’re the one with said powers. I can’t believe my best friend would make fun me so much for so long about a gift I have had since I was born. I don’t make fun of you for your taste in men and women.”
“Hey, low blow Crystal. Don’t forget that we have had several hookups ourselves. What’s that say about you? Just please turn me back so we can use you powers to finish my art project.”
Crystal was fuming, “Wow, thats all you’re worried about is that stupid art project, and not your best friend’s feelings? You know what, I don’t think I want to help you anymore.” She said to the girl cutout. “In fact, I think I’m going to keep you like this for awhile as punishment for all the years you laughed at my abilities.”
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. My best friend was going to leave me as a stencil indefinitely. “Seriously? Crystal, we’re best friends. Don’t tell me you’re going to keep me like this because of some hurt feelings? Why don’t you change me back and we can go get some coffee and talk this over.”
Crystal wasn’t having it, “Oh my gosh, you still don’t get it. I felt like I couldn’t be myself around you for so long, and finally get the chance and you’re still being an ass to me.”
“Well, what do you expect. You turned me into an art tool and are threatening to leave me this way. Some friend you are.”
That was it. Crystal had heard enough. “Ok Steph, I’m done listening to some inanimate stencil make fun of me. From now on I’m breaking our telepathic connection so I don’t hear your irritating voice. Hope you learn a valuable lesson in humility during this time.”
“Don’t you dare mute me bitch, I’m-“ and that was the last thing Crystal could hear from me as she muted me, leaving me as a simple paper stencil. She grabbed her backpack from below the work table and proceeded to slide my inanimate form into the front pouch, and then zipped it shut, leaving me in the dark void of her bag. She then swung the backpack onto her back, and with a satisfied smile, proceeded out of my apartment heading towards her place. She was looking forward to using me as her new stencil/play thing for the foreseeable future, but she also hoped that during this time I would learn to be a bit nicer, even though if she could hear me currently, I wouldn’t have anything nice to say.
Thanks for reading everyone! I just recently reached 500 watchers so I decided I would start a new story that partially involved myself as one of the characters. I don’t come off as such a nice person in this one, but I promise I’m a sweetheart in real life. Lol I do plan on making this a series, so be on the lookout for follow ups.
