The harvest party blurred into a haze of laughter, shared stories, and the warm glow of grow-lamp lanterns strung across the pavilion. Every one at the party was having a great time and Rolas found herself at the center of it all, her bionic arm becoming a hit amongst the group. She was getting constant requests to scan random items to get biology breakdowns of random items, and occasionally she would detach her arm and have it go on autopilot mode, transforming into a tiny mechanical spider crawling around the party. Just as the other partygoers were enjoying themselves, Rolas was equally having a good time. Lira pulled her into dances from time to time, sneaking subtle caresses of her breasts and firm booty. Jax would occasionally share engineering tips over drinks, and by the end of the night, Rolas felt a pang of belonging she hadn’t anticipated.
The next morning though, guilt flickered briefly as she thought of Zarel’s last message. But again, she reaffirmed herself that the herb was safe in her quarters, preserved in a stasis vial, so there was no rush to meet up with her sister. “Just one more day,” she told herself, heading back to the greenhouses. That day stretched into two, then two days became a full week. Soon assignments were piling up and Zarel was pushed even further to the back of Rolas’ mind. Instead, Rolas consumed herself with work, and that currently meant optimizing new hybrid vines that produced serum boosters, collaborating on pest-resistant strains. Vrix praised her innovations, and the team included her in after-work gatherings more and more. The rhythm was addictive. It was predictable yet creative, and free from the prophecies and perils that defined her life with her sisters.
Eventually weeks turned into a month, and Rolas further rationalized her stay more and more. “I’m still gathering valuable intel to ensure a clean exit. Zarel will be so impressed when she finds out how much information I’ve collected. Hell, by the time we get out of here, I might have created a better hybrid of the revertant herb.” Deep down, she was thriving. She began experimenting with plant pollination crosses, her bionic arm interfacing seamlessly with the ranch’s high-end tech. Aside from her work, all of her new friendships deepened as well; Lira began confiding in her about past transformations she had undergone, which led to Rolas admitting her past blunders as well. Jax even invited her to tinker on side projects. After awhile, Rolas stopped giving glances at the revertant herb when she would return to her quarters. Instead, the herb got pushed further to the back of the drawer, its purpose dimming as Rolas embraced her botanist duties even more. Before long, two months passed in a blink of an eye, and her “undercover” mission as a botanist became a longer mission than any stop on their voyage up to this point. She barely thought of Mitra or Zarel, the ranch’s allure finally wrapping her like vines.
Then came the promotion. Vrix called her in one day with a big grin on their face. “Rolas, your work has been beyond impressive. And it pains me to say this, because I want to keep you hear with us, but The Swensons have been extremely impressed by your recent work, and they want you on a special project at the main ranch house. There you’ll be working on some high-level stuff, including exotic hybrids plants and animals from their personal collection. And I’d get to packing as soon as possible. You’re moving tomorrow.”
Excitement bubbled up inside Rolas. This could be her big break, or a chance to finally grab more herb and bolt. The last thought being a feign of reasoning to keep up her facade of being “undercover”. But as she packed, a twinge of reluctance hit. Leaving her team? The greenhouses? “It’s just a special project. I’ll be back with the team before I know it.” she muttered. Little did she know, it would uproot everything.
The Swenson ranch house loomed larger up close, its rustic facade hiding labs and enclosures, all of which were buzzing with activity. Rolas arrived with her gear anxious but excited for what awaited her. As she was about to knock, she was cut off as the doors swung open and she was immediately greeted by Swenson Alpha’s crisp efficiency. “Botanist Rolas. Welcome, please come in.” Rolas promptly followed Alpha into the large ranch house, amazed by the sheer size of it.
“Your reputation precedes you Miss Rolas. But I’m not gonna beat around the bush so listen closely. This project you’ll be working on is very sensitive. You will be testing and enhancing our premium hybrid “Pets” with custom flora, grown in our top secret greenhouse annex. That will be where you spend most of your days moving forward. And as you can probably gather, discretion is key. Do I make myself clear Miss Rolas?”
Rolas responded quickly with a series of nods, “Yes Ma’am. Crystal clear.”
“Good, that’s what I like to hear. Now then, sisters! Come greet our newest house guest.” Beta and Gamma suddenly appeared flanking Alpha, their curvy forms spilling from skimpy ranch attire. Beta was wearing a low-cut plaid shirt tied at the waist, while Gamma was in a fringed vest that barely contained her assets. They eyed Rolas with playful smirks. “Ooh, fresh talent,” Beta purred. “We love botanists. They always grow fun stuff.”
Gamma giggled, adjusting her mini-skirt. “Yeah, and sometimes they grow into fun stuff themselves.” Rolas was unnerved by that last statement. “But if you’re good, maybe you’ll get to work with our pets. They adore special treats.”
Rolas nodded politely, sensing their less business-savvy vibe. These two were more focused on “fun” than Alpha’s keen sense of efficiency. After greetings were over, Rolas was led to the greenhouse annex, a state-of-the-art greenhouse teeming with rare plants, including advanced revertant herb variants which immediately caught her eye and brought back a glimmer of her original mission. Her new task though? To develop a nutrient serum from said hybrid herbs that can help boost “docility and productivity” in the ranch’s elite stock. She really didn’t want to find out what that meant, but she knew they’d need trial runs eventually.
Days in to working in the ranch houses’ private greenhouse facility, Rolas had finally settled into a comfortable routine. During the day she ran tests and experimented with different cross breeding methods as well as using new boosters on the herbs to see what effects they would have, and then when work was over she would report her findings to Beta and Gamma, who always appeared to be salivating at what she reported. After that she would go back to her quarters and spend the rest of her time there, wondering what her botanists coworkers and friends were up to.
The next day, Rolas showed up to work and was surprised to see Beta and Gamma were waiting for her at her station. Beta was wearing tight revealing denim chaps, exposing her entire front and backside, which paired perfectly with her plaid top tied in a knot at her sternum. Gamma decided to be more business forward with her look, wearing a stylish pink lab coat over a strapless crop top and skinny jeans. They informed Rolas that she was to test the serum she had been developing, on live subjects for the first time. Not just any live subjects though, some of the Swenson Triplets prized hybrid pets that were in adjacent enclosures right next door to the greenhouse. “Rolas sweetie, please bring the samples to the pet viewing room immediately.” Alpha instructed. “You will be performing the procedure personally, while we monitor the integration.”
In the room, Rolas took her time preparing her first batch of serum booster while the two sisters sat to the side with baited breath. The serum was a glowing green elixir, infused with calming seed extract from the rare Cuecue berry and sweet refined juice from the Snygleberry bush, both found only at the Swenson Ranch. As Rolas finally got the serum ready to go, a lab assistant came through a set of wide swinging metal doors at the other end of the room, leading a leashed figure on all fours. Beta and Gamma got up immediately upon seeing there pet enter the room and walked over to the creature, giving it a gentle caress on its hind quarters. “Rolas, meet Moo-Moo,” Beta cooed, patting the hybrid’s flank. “This right here is our newest, and most favorite cowgirl in our herd. And she has been such a good girl lately, doing everything we ask, and just being so obedient and sexy. Isn’t that right Moo-Moo? You’re such a dumb cow aren’t you sweetie?”
The hybrid cowgirl mooed agreeingly. Moo-Moo was a stunning, perverse sight to behold. She was a full-on quadrupedal cowgirl, her body transformed into a blend of humanoid grace and bovine allure. She has sleek fur patterning her skin in black-and-white spots and a long tail swishing lazily on her backside. Her enhanced udders swayed heavily below, capped with sensitive teats that dripped faintly. Horns curved elegantly from her head, and her face, once sharp and determined, now held a placid, doe-eyed expression, framed by remnants of dark hair. She moved with obedient fluidity, nuzzling Gamma’s hand for affection.
Rolas froze, a strange familiarity tugging at her. Where had she seen this creature before. The cowgirl’s eyes were hazel with a purple hue, sparking a distant memory. Her build, even as altered as it was, echoed something in Rolas’s mind. “She…looks familiar,” Rolas murmured, shaking it off assuming she’d seen this pet in passing previously. “Probably just resembles some species I’ve seen at the ranch.”
Gamma laughed, scratching behind Moo-Moo’s ears. “Familiar? Nah, she’s one-of-a-kind. We turned her from a feisty nurse into the perfect pet you see before you. The process was pretty slow too. Lots of serum injections, milkings, and trainings were needed to get her to comply and be docile. Now she’s all ours, right, Moo-Moo?”
Moo-Moo, once Zarel, mooed softly in affirmation, her mind a haze of docility. The Swensons had renamed her after her first involuntary moo, erasing her identity in layers of perverse pleasure. She recognized Rolas vaguely through the fog, their sisterly connection flickering briefly, but obedience overrode it. She simply waited for commands, her quadrupedal form content in submission.
Rolas proceeded to administer the first batch of serum via a feeder, watching Moo-Moo lap it up eagerly. “This should hopefully enhance her…traits,” she said, noting the hybrid’s serene demeanor. The familiarity still nagged at her though, those birthmarks peeking through Moo-Moo’s fur, the swirling patterns around her teats. “Where have I seen that before?”
Beta leaned in, her curves brushing Rolas. “Intrigued? Maybe you should stick around; we could use you for more…hands-on work. Our pets love variety.” As Moo-Moo’s eyes glazed further from the serum, Rolas kept pushing a alarming thought aside. Moo-Moo couldn’t be Zarel, no way. Her sister was undercover elsewhere, no where near the Swenson’s personal ranch house. But as the project pulled her deeper, the Swensons’ influence became much more noticeable around her, like the vines of the exotic plants she tended. And unbeknownst to her, the ranch’s biggest secrets were much closer to her than she thought…and so was her sister Moo-Moo.
