While Flo assessed her new environment and new body, Emma and Kai were still speechless at what just happened. “Ok, so this is definitely not my body. In fact I feel like 10 years younger now. Do you two know what happened to me? Hellooo? You two gonna say anything or just keep staring, because you’re starting to creep me out.”
“Y-you sound just like her.” Emma got out, barely holding it together.
“Sound just like who?” She said again assessing her new voice. Then it hit her like a bag of bricks. She suddenly looked down at her body again and noticed it looked very familiar. She gasped, finally putting the pieces together. “Oh my god! I’m in Dee’s body? But how? Wait, this is the Magic Makers office. So that means you two are Emma and Kai?”
Emma was now staring at the coin on the desk again, looking conflicted, so Kai decided to respond to Flo. “Yes this is the Magic Makers office and yes I’m Kai and that’s Emma. I know we look a bit different but that’s because Dee accidentally messed up a spell on us.”
“That’s tracks. Oh, speaking of Dee you never answered my first question. Why am I in Dee’s body?”
“Because Dee sacrificed herself and swapped places with you as this stupid change coin. Happy now?” Emma said angrily.
Flo suddenly felt guilty as she saw the gold coin on the desk and vaguely remembered the events that had happened. “Emma…Kai…I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to cause so much trouble.”
“Yeah, well maybe if you didn’t steal the coin and wand in the first place Dee would still be in control of that body she gave you, and not stuck as a magic coin.”
“Again, I’m sorry. I know what I did was wrong, and if there’s anything I can do to help-“
“Just don’t do anything. That’s all I ask. That way you don’t jeopardize Dee’s body while we figure this out.”
“Emma, maybe we can just change her back to normal now that Flo’s stipulation as coin was fulfilled.” Kai suggested.
“I don’t think that will work.” Flo chimed in.
Emma glared at the owner of her wife’s body, “And why not?”
“Because I am able to remember the affects that spell had on me and the spell felt like it stayed behind and intact when the swap occurred. So I think the only way to get her back is for someone else to take her place again.”
Emma’s eye began twitching, “Seriously? Ugh, fine. Then I’m out of ideas on how to save her. Kai, do you have anything?”
Kai thought long and hard before raising a finger with an idea, “I say we call in backup.”

After having a light meal inside the house, Emma, Kai, and Flo returned to the office, but this time with a furry friend accompanying them. “So, now Dee is trapped as the change coin, Flo is possessing her body, and Harmony ran off through that tiny portal there to who knows what dimension and she has the wand too.” Kai finished explaining to the golden furred cat sitting patiently on the desk.
“I know you didn’t want us to bug you during your time with Jess, but we could really use your help Kate.” Emma said.
The cat stared over at Flo in Dee’s body and then back at the coin and with a simple gesture indicated she was willing to help. “Great! Alright I’ll use the coin to make you human again.” Emma said as she picked the coin up. “Heads, Kate changes back into her human self. Tails, Kate becomes human again.” After a quick toss, the coin landed heads and soon Kate was a full size human again sitting on the desk, completely naked.
After a quick assessment and brushing some dust off her lap, Kate hopped off the desk and grabbed the coin away from Emma. “Tails, you two become office Knick knacks. Heads, you two gain the ability to change into whatever I am needing at any given moment.”
“Wait, what? Kate, what are you doing. Did you hear what Kai sa-“ but before Emma could finish her statement, the coin had already flipped and landed heads. Emma looked up at Kate who was grinning deviously, and a moment later Emma was dwindling away, shrinking into a new form. Kate leaned down to where Emma had been standing and picked up a gorgeous blue bra and some matching panties. She quickly slipped into the new outfit. “There. Now that I’m sort of dressed…” she trailed off, now eyeing Kai.
Kai looked on with fear. He tried to run but suddenly found himself dwindling as well. But when Kate reached down and picked up what became of Kai, Flo was surprised to see not clothes, but a wand with a star at the end, almost identical to the original. Just as Flo was going to ask why Kate did all of this to Emma and Kai, Kate winked at her and flicked the magic coin into her hands. “Hold onto Dee for me will you? I’ll be back shortly.” She then tapped the wand to her body and in a flash shrunk down to the size Harmony was hours ago. She slipped the wand between her cleavage and walked over to the still open portal. She jumped up and dove head first into the portal, leaving Flo stunned and confused in the Magic Maker’s office.
Not knowing how long it would take for Kate to do whatever it was she was doing, Flo sat down at the desk and looked at the coin that she called home just earlier that day. She couldn’t believe the events that had occurred in the last 24 hours. One moment she was excited about Getting to use magic finally and the next she is in Dee’s body while Dee is stuck as a coin.
Just as she was twirling the coin between her fingers Kate re-emerges out of the portal and stood triumphant on the office desk. However, she was dressed completely different now, wearing a sexy suit of armor. On her hip was a holster that held the magic wand Kai had been turned into, and in her hands she held a tiny plastic ball. Plastered on the ball was Harmony’s face, stuck in a goofy expression. Kate then pulled out the wand and tapped herself again, quickly growing back to normal size. The ball in her hand grew as well, resizing to look like an ordinary bouncy ball just with Harmony’s face on it. “Here hold this as well.” Kate said tossing the ball to Flo who bobbled it at first. Kate’s wardrobe proceeded to change once again. This time becoming a red sequin covered business suit with matching shimmering red business pants. “There, that’s better. Now to fix the problem my two friends created.”
Without another word, Kate watched as her wand morphed into a small remote looking device. She held it facing the change coin and soon a red beam shot out of the end of the remote and scanned the coin. The remotes display showed a copy of the change coin. After pushing a few buttons, Kate then aimed the remote to an empty spot on the table and suddenly an exact copy of the change coin was sitting next to the original.
At this point Flo had zero idea what was going on. “Umm, Kate, why did you make a copy of the change coin?”
“Because, it’s actually not a true copy of the coin. Yes, it looks identical, but I modified it on the remote so now the new coin is just a normal coin with no magic whatsoever. Well, except that it has the same living conscious that the original had.
Flo was still confused. “And you made another living coin for what purpose?”
“So I could swap the generic conscious from this coin with Dee’s mind in the magic coin, thus freeing Dee from the spell. Then I can simply change the Dee coin back into her human self.”
Flo’s brain hurt at this point. “Ah. I see. Carry on then.”
“Thank you.” Kate said before scanning both coins again with the remote. This time though, Kate selected an option to swap their minds and with a push of a button the process was complete and now Dee’s mind was trapped in the non magical coin. Kate picked it up and inspected it.
“So….Is this a normal thing with all of you?” Flo asked while Kate made the remote change back to a wand.
“Yep. Kinda get used to this after awhile.” Kate said nonchalantly as she tapped the wand to the coin and suddenly out of a bright light emerged Dee, who blinked a bit out of confusion of seeing herself across the room. “Ummm….”
Kate put a hand on Dee’s shoulder, “Don’t ask. I’m going back to spend some more time with Jess.” She said before handing a tiny wand and coin to Dee.
“Ok, I won’t. But where’s Emma and Kai?” Dee asked.
“I’m borrowing them for now so they don’t screw anything else up. Just promise me you two won’t get into too much trouble.” Kate said while she walked toward the door to their home. As she did so, her outfit changed again, this time to an ornate white animal collar, while the wand in her hand morphed into a tag that read ‘Kate’ on it. It then magically attached to the end of the collar around Kate’s neck. Before long, Kate was dwindling down into the brownish yellow cat she had been just moments before. Kate trotted back into the house and kicked the door shut behind her leaving Dee and her doppelgänger all by themselves in the office.
The two Dee’s stared at each other in disbelief of what just happened. “Umm, so you’re actually Dee right?” Flo asked hesitantly.
“I’m pretty sure I am. And just to check, you’re…”
“Flo. Just obviously in your body now.” She said.
“Yeah. Honestly can’t say I was expecting you to become my twin today. Heh.” Dee said trying to break the tension.
“Yeah, me neither.”
“Well, we have a change coin and a wand here. So if you want your old body back be my guest.” Dee said as she handed the two magical items to her twin in exchange for the Harmony bouncy ball.
Dee saw Flo looking nervous and confused about something. “What’s wrong? Don’t you want your body back?”
“Would it be bad if I said no. Look, don’t get me wrong, I loved my original body. But in your body I feel so much more youthful and energetic.”
Dee gave her boss a smile, “I totally get it. And you know what, if you want to, you can stay my twin for awhile.”
Flo, for the first time since becoming a living person again, looked excited and happy. “Really? You’d let me keep this body? You wouldn’t be mad that I am kinda stealing your body?”
Dee shrugged, “Eh, it’s not my body anymore so what do I care. Besides, now we can have some fun twin hijinks which sounds like a lot of fun.”
“Eeh! Thank you Dee.” Flo said as she gave Dee a big hug. “Not just for letting be your twin, but for being an outstanding employee and an even better friend.”
Dee was blushing, “Awe, don’t mention it. But now we have one last thing to deal with.” She said as she bounced the balled up Harmony off the office desk. “What to do with her.”
“Ooh, I know, why not use the wand on her to change her into something fun.” Flo suggested.
“Hmm, that’s a great idea. And I have an idea as to what to make her.” Dee said as she tapped the wand to the bouncy ball. Suddenly in a flash, the ball in Dee’s hand became two golden bracelets. “Here, put one of these bracelets on.” She said as she handed one to Flo. They both put the bracelets on and suddenly felt a magical connection between each other.
“Whoa, what is that feeling?” Flo asked.
“That’s the power of the bracelets I made. You see, as long as we are wearing these bracelets, we can merge our bodies together into one. I’ll make sure to make this Harmony’s permanent form with the wand later, but first I want to try them out. Do you like it?”
“I love it! Can we try right now?”
“Of course! Alright imagine your body merging with mine.” Both girls thought real hard about joining together and sure enough their bodies starting pulling closer together until both of their bodies began merging together. It was like both of their bodies had become solid fluids, slowly flowing together into one being. Finally after a couple of seconds, a single Dee stood within the office, now with a gold bracelet on both wrists. “Whoa!” The new Dee said, feeling the effects of having two minds merged into one new one. “This is so cool! I can feel both of our thoughts combined together. It’s like I’m a whole new person!” This thought gave the new Dee an idea. “How about in this form we have a totally new name? How about…Harmony! No that is too on the nose and we don’t want the others thinking we’re the actual Harmony. Maybe since we still look like Dee we go by Didi now? You know, like two Dees merged as one. Ooh, yes! That is perfect!” After settling on the name Didi picked up the wand and decided to stuff the change coin back into the office desk. She figured they only needed the wand to have fun anyways, so after locking the desk drawer Didi made her way out of the office and back into the house. She needed to get some rest after the whirlwind day she had. Plus she wanted to get up extra early tomorrow to get the clothing store ready and see what other fun things they could do.
