What a Prick

Julie-Sue was tasked with retrieving some of the TV base MT Lab gadgets from Test Lab A and bringing them to Test Lab B. It was a routine job, one she'd done countless times before, and she moved with the confidence of someone familiar with the ins and outs of the lab. Her colleagues often joked that she could navigate the labyrinthine corridors blindfolded. Today, however, was different.

She arrived at Test Lab A, a sleek, high-tech room filled with shelves of gadgets and gizmos, each one more exotic than the last. Some of the gadgets were still in development, while others were relics from past projects. Julie-Sue carefully picked up a case labeled "TV Show Theme TF Items" and started her journey back to Test Lab B. The case was heavy, filled with various transformation gadgets inspired by popular TV shows.

As she walked through the dimly lit corridor, her mind wandered to the episode of Spongebob Squarepants where the characters turned into snails. She chuckled to herself, imagining how absurd it would be if something like that happened to her. Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice the puddle of liquid on the floor – a remnant from an earlier experiment gone awry.

Her foot hit the puddle, and she skidded, the slick surface offering no traction. She flailed, trying to regain her balance, but it was too late. She fell backward, the case slipping from her grasp. As she hit the ground, the case burst open, and its contents scattered across the floor. Gadgets clattered and rolled, each one more peculiar than the last. Among the chaos, a Snail Plasma syringe flew through the air, arcing towards her.

She watched in horror as the syringe landed, piercing the skin of her arm. Julie-Sue's heart raced as she yanked the syringe out and flung it away, but a strange, cold sensation had already begun to spread from the puncture site. Panic set in. She knew what this particular syringe was meant to do – transform the user into a snail-like creature, inspired by that very Spongebob episode she'd been thinking about.

The transformation began almost immediately. She felt a sluggishness creeping into her limbs, as if her very blood had turned to molasses. Her movements became slow and deliberate, each motion requiring immense effort. She tried to stand, but her legs refused to cooperate. Her vision blurred, then refocused in a disorienting shift as her eyes began to protrude from their sockets, extending outward on stalks until she had the distinctive snail-like eyes.

Julie-Sue's panic grew as she felt her body changing further. She looked down in terror as her arms and legs began to retract into her torso, the skin and muscles merging seamlessly into her body. She tried to scream, but the only sound that escaped her lips was a plaintive "meow," echoing the sound snails made in the cartoon. Her buttocks expanded, forming a large, rounded shape that served as a rudimentary snail shell, its surface glistening in the fluorescent light of the lab.

Now transformed into a humanoid snail girl, Julie-Sue lay on the cold floor, her mind racing with thoughts of what to do next. She struggled to move, her new body leaving a glistening trail of slime wherever she went. The once-familiar corridors of the lab now seemed like a daunting maze. She had to find help, but who could she turn to? Who would believe that she, a skilled lab technician, had been transformed into a snail girl?

Her mind turned to Dr. Hawkins, the head scientist of the lab and an expert in reversing transformations. If anyone could help her, it would be him. But reaching his office seemed like an insurmountable challenge in her current state. Desperate, she began to inch her way forward, her slimy trail marking her progress.

As she moved, she encountered various obstacles – closed doors, scattered equipment, and the ever-present risk of being discovered by her colleagues in this humiliating form. Each movement was slow and laborious, her new anatomy working against her. She meowed pitifully, hoping to attract the attention of anyone who might be able to assist her.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she reached Dr. Trever's office. The door was ajar, and she could see him inside, engrossed in his work. Gathering what little strength she had left, she meowed loudly, the sound echoing through the lab. Dr. Trever looked up, his expression shifting from confusion to shock as he saw the snail girl before him.

"Julie-Sue?" he gasped, rushing to her side. "What happened to you?"

Through a series of plaintive meows and expressive eye movements, she tried to convey the accident. Dr. Trever quickly pieced together the situation, his scientific mind racing to find a solution. He helped her onto a nearby examination table and began to prepare the antidote, a complex mixture designed to reverse the effects of the Snail Plasma.

As he worked, Julie-Sue could only hope that the transformation was reversible and that she would soon be back to her old self. She watched as Dr. Trever meticulously measured and mixed the ingredients, her heart pounding with a mix of hope and fear.

Finally, he administered the antidote, injecting it carefully into her arm. The transformation began to reverse, her body slowly returning to its human form. The relief was overwhelming as her arms and legs re-emerged, her eyes returning to their normal position. The sluggishness faded, replaced by a renewed sense of energy.

Julie-Sue sat up, her normal self once more, and thanked Dr. Trever profusely. She knew she had been incredibly lucky, and the experience left her with a newfound respect for the unpredictable nature of the lab's experiments. As she left Dr. Trever's office, she vowed to be more careful in the future, the memory of her brief time as a snail girl forever etched in her mind.
