Katie had been feeling overwhelmed for weeks. The pressures of work, personal life, and everything in between had piled up, leaving her teetering on the edge of a mental meltdown. In a desperate bid to find some relief, she reached out to her best friend, Courtney, for help. Courtney, who was attending the prestigious Magical Twins Magic School and interning at MT Lab, had mentioned working on a device designed to alleviate stress and induce happiness by altering certain brain functions.
When Katie explained her situation, Courtney was sympathetic. "I think I might have just the thing to help you," she said. "It's still in the prototype stage, but it should work."
Katie followed Courtney to her room, where a sleek, futuristic device sat on the desk. It had a headband with attached electrodes and a small control unit with various dials and switches. "This is it," Courtney explained. "It's supposed to help people feel more relaxed and happy by adjusting neural pathways."
Katie, desperate for any form of relief, agreed to give it a try. Courtney carefully placed the headband on Katie's head, adjusting the electrodes until they were perfectly positioned. "Just relax," she instructed. "I'll be right downstairs if you need me."
Courtney activated the device and watched as it began to hum softly, the lights on the control unit blinking in a rhythmic pattern. She stayed with Katie for a few minutes, ensuring that everything was working as intended before heading downstairs to take care of a few chores.
However, Courtney's exhaustion from her busy schedule soon caught up with her, and she dozed off on the couch. Hours passed, and the gentle hum of the device continued unabated in her room. Four hours later, the front door opened, and Courtney's roommate, Betty, walked in. She noticed Courtney asleep on the couch and gently shook her awake.
"Hey, how did it go with Katie?" Betty asked.
Courtney's eyes snapped open, and she bolted upright, a look of horror spreading across her face. "Oh no! I left it running!" she exclaimed, racing up the stairs with Betty right behind her.
They burst into the room to find Katie, but she looked nothing like the friend Courtney had left there. Katie had undergone a dramatic transformation. Her body had swelled in all the right places, her breasts and hips now exaggerated to cartoonish proportions. Her clothes strained to contain her new curves, barely clinging to her body. Her face, once sharp and intelligent, now bore a vacant, glassy-eyed expression.
Katie looked up at them and giggled, a line of drool escaping from the corner of her mouth. "Kitty Titty feels funny," she said in a slurred, childlike voice. "Me feel all tickly inside!"
Courtney's heart sank. The device had worked far too well, altering Katie's mind far beyond the intended relaxation and happiness. It had turned her into a bimbo, stripping away her intelligence and leaving behind a bubbly, brainless version of her former self.
Betty stared in shock, her hand covering her mouth. "What are we going to do?" she whispered.
Courtney took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "First, we need to turn off the device," she said, moving quickly to the control unit and shutting it down. The humming ceased, but the damage was already done. She knelt in front of Katie, who was now playing with a strand of her hair and humming a simple tune.
"Katie, can you hear me?" Courtney asked gently.
"Kitty Titty hears you!" she replied with a giggle. "Me feel so good! So happy!"
Courtney exchanged a worried glance with Betty. "We'll figure this out," she promised, though she had no idea how they would reverse such a profound transformation. "For now, let's get you comfortable."
With Betty's help, Courtney managed to guide the new Katie—now calling herself Kitty Titty—downstairs. They settled her on the couch with some simple toys to keep her occupied. Courtney's mind raced as she tried to think of a solution. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was determined to restore her friend to her true self, no matter what it took.
