So you change time huh

Peggy sat on the edge of her couch, recounting her incredible adventure to her roommate, Stacy. Her voice was animated as she described the discovery of the time machine in an abandoned lab at MT Labs. It was an antiquated device, dusty and neglected, but it hummed with an otherworldly energy when she powered it on. Peggy had been unable to resist the temptation to explore the past, hoping to research forgotten histories and uncover lost secrets.

"I went back seven times," Peggy said, her eyes wide with excitement. "Each trip was more amazing than the last. I saw ancient civilizations, witnessed the rise and fall of empires, and even met some of our earliest ancestors."

Stacy, sitting cross-legged on her couch, listened intently. "Did you change anything?" she asked, her tail flicking with curiosity.

"Well, I did accidentally alter a few small things," Peggy admitted, her ears flattening slightly. "But I don't know what. Everything seemed fine when I got back. I snuck out of the lab and MT Labs before it shifted to the next reality."

Stacy looked around their shared apartment, her eyes scanning the familiar surroundings. "Nothing seems off," she said, glancing at Peggy and then at herself. "We still have our fur and tails."

But what neither of them realized was that these features were not always part of their world. Before Peggy’s inadvertent changes to the past, humans had walked the Earth. Peggy’s seven trips back in time had gradually rewritten history, transforming their reality into one where anthropomorphic animals were the dominant species.

The first trip Peggy took had the most subtle effect. A chance encounter with an ancient shaman led to the introduction of a minor genetic tweak in the human genome. This tweak was so minute that it went unnoticed at first, manifesting only in the faintest hints of animalistic traits—slightly sharper senses, a bit more agility.

On her second trip, Peggy interacted with a group of early humans, sharing stories and knowledge. Her presence and the knowledge she imparted influenced their cultural development, leading to an emphasis on animalistic totems and spirits. This shift in cultural focus caused a greater acceptance and integration of animal traits into human identity.

By the third trip, these minor changes began to compound. Peggy’s inadvertent influence on ancient breeding practices, through her suggestions and interactions, introduced more pronounced physical traits. Some humans began to develop patches of fur, elongated ears, and even rudimentary tails.

The fourth and fifth trips saw these traits becoming more pronounced. Ancient societies began to revere those with stronger animal features, seeing them as closer to the spiritual world. This reverence led to selective breeding and the gradual enhancement of these traits across populations.

By the sixth trip, entire communities of anthropomorphic humans existed. These changes were now fully integrated into the social and genetic fabric of the world. Peggy noticed the differences but thought they were simply natural variations she hadn’t noticed before.

On her seventh and final trip, Peggy’s interactions caused the final shift. An ancient leader she befriended embraced the anthropomorphic traits so completely that it became a cultural and genetic norm. When Peggy returned from this last journey, the world had transformed entirely into an anthro-run society, much like the one depicted in the movie Zootopia.

Back in their apartment, Peggy and Stacy were oblivious to the extent of these changes. As they continued their conversation, Peggy mused, "Maybe I should go back again, just to see if I can pinpoint what I altered."

Stacy shook her head, smiling. "Let's leave the past where it is," she said, her whiskers twitching. "Besides, I kind of like our world the way it is."

Peggy nodded, a thoughtful expression on her face. Little did she know, the reality they lived in was a testament to the profound impact one person could have on the course of history. And as they settled in for the evening, the world outside continued to thrive under the influence of Peggy’s inadvertent transformations, a vibrant tapestry of anthro-animal humanoid life. The two fox girls just stood there with smiles on they're faces.
