These are some stories that I made way back during lockdown. I felt like these stories weren't good enough to be posted. So here they are. If you like them let me know in the comments and I'll give them a small update and add some images to them.
Joining the Zoo:
George paced back and forth in his office, looking over the zoo's finances once again. For the third month in a row, profits were down. If something didn't change soon, he would have no choice but to close the struggling zoo.
He knew the problem - they just didn't have enough new and exciting animals to draw in crowds anymore. Their last big addition had been the koala exhibit two years ago. Since then, people had seen it all. Without anything new to see, families were choosing to spend their money elsewhere.
George sighed, running a hand through his graying hair. He was too old for this stress. He had poured his heart and soul into this zoo for over 30 years. He couldn't bear to see it shut down now.
There was only one solution. It was risky and highly unethical, but he was desperate. He called two of his most trusted zookeepers, John and Mike, into his office and shared his plan. Though initially hesitant, they too wanted to save the zoo.
That night, the two men drove to the edge of the city and waited in an unmarked van. As unsuspecting people passed by, John and Mike jumped out and grabbed them, tossing them in the back of the van. By midnight, they had collected 10 random people. Their victims yelled and pounded on the van walls, but the zookeepers ignored them, driving back to deliver them to George.
At the zoo's animal hospital, the 10 frightened people were led into a stark white room. George entered behind them, smiling gently to try and gain their trust. "Thank you all for volunteering for our new experimental treatment," he said. "If you could each take a card from this machine, it will tell you which animal you have been selected to become."
Confused and scared, the people reluctantly took the cards from the slot. George noted their selections - chimpanzee, lion, zebra, giraffe, elephant, panda, hippo, flamingo, penguin, and grizzly bear. Perfect.
"Now if you will all follow me to the transformation room, we can begin the treatments," George continued, leading them down a bright hallway. He knew he had to act quickly before they realized what was really happening.
Inside the next room was a large machine hooked up to a glowing purple gemstone. "This technology can alter your entire genetic makeup and transform you into any animal," George explained. "Simply place your card into the slot and then stand in front of the gem. You may feel some slight discomfort but I assure you the process is safe."
One by one, the people placed their cards into the slot. A whirring noise filled the room as the Zooprism gem glowed brighter. After a flash of light, an animal stood where the person had been. The newly created animals looked around, dazed. Before they could fully comprehend what had happened, zookeepers approached with tranquilizer guns and led them out.
In their new enclosures, the former humans began to act just like their animal counterparts. With no traces left of their human minds, they ate, slept and moved just as a real chimpanzee, lion, zebra and so on would.
George smiled as he watched children press their faces excitedly to the habitats' glass walls. Word was spreading quickly about the zoo's fabulous new exhibits. With these exotic new additions, people were flooding in again.
His bank account was filling up fast too thanks to the crowds. Sure, his methods were highly unethical, but the results spoke for themselves. The zoo would survive and prosper with its new human-turned-animal attractions. All it had cost him was 10 random lives - a small price to pay in George's mind. The Zooprism gem had worked just as promised, transforming everyone completely. And with no one the wiser about their origins, George was confident his zoo was saved for good this time.
What a strange Episode:
Cassie flipped through the TV channels aimlessly as her best friend Wendy sat beside her on the couch. The two young women, both 19, were hanging out at Cassie's apartment on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
"Ugh, there's nothing good on," Cassie complained as she continued clicking past reality shows, infomercials, and nature documentaries.
"Oooh, go back! I think I just saw Sesame Street," Wendy exclaimed.
Cassie clicked back a few channels until the familiar bright colors and cheerful songs of Sesame Street appeared on the screen.
"I used to love this show when I was a kid," Wendy said with a smile.
"Me too," said Cassie. "You know, I've always wanted to work on Sesame Street. Can you imagine, getting paid to play and teach little kids all day? It would be a dream come true."
"You'd be great at it!" Wendy encouraged. "You're so energetic and imaginative, and little kids just adore you."
As the two young women watched the show, they started to feel strange, almost hypnotized by the bright colors and silly songs. Sesame Street brought back a flood of happy childhood memories for Cassie and Wendy. They found their adult thoughts fading away, slowly being replaced by the innocence and wonder of childhood.
Cassie's short bob haircut started growing longer, the blond strands turning to pigtails. Her makeup disappeared from her face, leaving freckled cheeks with a wide, curious gaze. Wendy's features softened as well, her eyes growing larger and lips pouting into a faint little smile. Their bodies shrank, clothes fitting looser and looser until they were practically swimming in the oversized t-shirts and jeans.
The show continued as Cassie and Wendy regressed further. Elmo's giggles made them erupt into fits of laughter. Cookie Monster's antics had them clutching their tiny bellies. Their minds emptied of grown up thoughts - jobs, bills, relationships - filled instead with a toddler's wonder and imagination. Talking puppets and sunny days in the park were suddenly the most fascinating things they could think of.
As the show went to a commercial break, Cassie glanced over at Wendy. "Isn't this fun?" she said in a high-pitched voice. Her stubby fingers played with her pigtails.
"So much fun!" Wendy replied with a giggle. "I wuv Elmo. He's my favorite."
"I wike Cookie Monster," said Cassie. "He silly!"
The two little girls crawled off the couch, swimming in their now massively oversized clothes. They scampered and played while waiting for Sesame Street to return. There were no thoughts of anything beyond this moment, this game, this happiness. Adulthood was a distant concept they could scarcely comprehend.
When the show returned, Cassie and Wendy plopped down in front of the TV, entranced once again. As Big Bird appeared on screen, Cassie clapped her tiny hands.
"Birdie!" she cried out gleefully.
Wendy sucked her thumb as she snuggled up next to her best friend. All cares and worries had slipped away, leaving only wide-eyed joy and innocence behind. The two little girls sat spellbound, singing along to the alphabet song and watching the numbers fly by on the screen.
Soon the episode ended, and the credits began to roll. As the Sesame Street theme faded out, Cassie and Wendy slowly began to return to themselves. Their minds awakened from the hypnotic trance, memories and maturity flooding back in. They looked at each other in shock and confusion as their bodies rapidly re-aged to 19 again.
"What...what just happened?" Cassie asked, shaking her head. One minute they had been carefree toddlers, and now here they were, fully grown again.
"I'm not sure," said Wendy, equally bewildered. "It was like we were under a spell or something. That was crazy!"
The two women looked at the TV, then back at each other. They both burst out laughing.
"Well, I guess it's safe to say Sesame Street still has some sort of magic after all these years," Cassie chuckled.
"I'll say!" Wendy replied with a grin. "But as fun as it was to be a kid again for a little while, I'm happy being an adult too. What do you say we go get some coffee and continue this grown-up girls' day out?"
"I'd like that," said Cassie, switching off.
The Plant girl and the Twin Clowns:
Good Luck Lucy, known to most as Katie, soared through the skyscrapers of Gotham City, keeping a watchful eye out for trouble. As she swooped down towards the museum, an alarm sounded - the villainous duo Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy were up to no good again!
Bursting through the skylight, Lucy confronted the chaotic couple as they were emptying display cases of priceless jewels. "Not so fast, ladies! I believe those sparkly baubles belong to the museum, not you!" she declared.
Harley Quinn let out an exaggerated sigh. "Well if it isn't little miss goody two-shoes, Good Luck Lucy! Sorry toots but we're just doing a little shopping, no need to get your panties in a twist." She gave Lucy a sly wink, before cartwheeling towards her, brandishing her giant mallet menacingly.
Lucy deftly dodged Harley's attack, using her super agility to bounce off the walls and swoop in to snatch the mallet away. "Nice try Harley, but it'll take more than that to stop me!" Behind her, Poison Ivy was using her plant powers to ensnare Lucy in vines sprouting up from the marble floor.
Struggling against the vines, Lucy reached for the luck charms on her belt and threw them towards the creeping plants. An improbable gust of wind swept through the room, blowing the vines away. "Ha! You think your plants can hold me? I'm Good Luck Lucy after all!" she laughed triumphantly.
Harley and Ivy regrouped, circling Lucy. "Give it up Luce, you're no match for us two together," Ivy purred. Harley suddenly rushed forward, getting right in Lucy's face. "Night night, goody goody!" she taunted, blowing a handful of knockout powder directly into Lucy's face before giving her a swift kiss on the cheek. Lucy sputtered, instantly losing consciousness as she crumpled to the ground.
"Let's scramquick before she wakes up!" Harley cried, as the villainous vixens gathered their loot and escaped into the night.
A few days later, Lucy was on patrol when she noticed something strange - her blonde hair now had red and blue highlights streaked through it. "Weird, I didn't dye my hair recently," she wondered. Over the next few days, more changes started happening to Lucy's appearance. Her skin became paler, her eyes an icy blue instead of green, and her lips ruby red. Even her Good Luck Lucy super suit started altering, the colors becoming jester-like.
Lucy realized these changes must have something to do with Harley Quinn's parting kiss at the museum. There must have been some kind of delayed-action transformative agent on her lips or in that knockout powder! She tried washing her face vigorously and using luck charms to reverse the changes, but nothing worked.
On the fifth day after the museum encounter, Lucy looked in the mirror to see an exact replica of Harley Quinn staring back! She now looked exactly like the villainess, right down to the costume. Strangely, along with the physical changes, Lucy felt her mindset shifting too. Rules didn't seem so important anymore, and she felt an urge to laugh inappropriately at inappropriate times.
Later that night, feeling restless and impulsive, Lucy tracked down the real Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. "Hey ladies, miss me?" she said coyly as she cartwheeled into their secret lair.
Harley's jaw dropped at the sight of the transformed Lucy. "Well tickle me pink! It worked - the Harlequinizing serum did the trick. What do ya think, Red?" she asked Ivy gleefully.
"I'm impressed," Ivy admitted. "My experimental transformation formula has turned goody-goody Lucy into a Harley clone. The effects seem permanent too."
Harley threw her arms around Lucy's lookalike. "Ooh I've always wanted a twin! What should we call you, sis? How about Kinsley Quinn!"
The newly christened Kinsley Quinn laughed eagerly. "I love it! Let's go paint this town red and blue!" Lucy was gone, leaving mischief and mayhem in her place. With two Harleys running around, Gotham was in for some crazy times ahead!
Kiddy Cookie:
Elliot loved working at Sunny Days Daycare. Seeing the smiling faces of the young children as they played and learned always brightened his day. Elliot especially loved watching the two-year-olds experience everything with wide-eyed wonder. Their joy and curiosity was contagious.
One sunny Tuesday morning, as Elliot finished setting up art supplies for finger painting, little Sarah toddled up to him holding something behind her back. Her blonde curls bounced as she held out a cookie.
"For you!" she said proudly.
"Why thank you, Sarah!" Elliot said. "Did you help make this?"
Sarah nodded vigorously. Elliot took the cookie and bit into the sweet treat. It tasted like chocolate chip, his favorite.
"Mmm, delicious!" He said. Sarah beamed up at him.
A few moments later, Elliot started to feel strange. His limbs began tingling. "I better sit down," he murmured. Lowering himself onto a pint-sized chair, Elliot felt his body shifting and changing. His legs grew shorter as his torso contracted. Pressure built in his chest while his feet shrank in his shoes. Elliot's short hair lengthened into pigtails.
Within moments, the transformation was complete. Elliot was gone, replaced by Ellie, a two-year-old girl with chubby toddler legs and hands, long eyelashes, and blonde pigtails secured with pink bows. She sat there, swimming in Elliot's now oversized clothes.
Ellie looked around the daycare classroom with curiosity and wonder. The finger paints on the table nearby called to her. She slid out of the huge chair and toddled over on unsteady legs. Picking up a paintbrush, she plopped it into the red paint and smeared it onto the paper in big, bold strokes. Next came the blue paint, followed by green and yellow. Soon her paper was a mess of bright colors and textures. Ellie was fascinated by the way the paint squished between her tiny fingers.
Just then, Sarah came over holding a doll. "Ellie! Play babies?" she asked.
Ellie nodded excitedly. Sarah handed her the doll and picked up another one for herself. The two girls cradled their baby dolls, wrapping them snuggly in blankets and feeding them imaginary bottles. Then they pretended to rock the babies to sleep, singing lullabies in sweet toddler voices.
At storytime, Ellie and Sarah sat next to each other on the carpet. Ellie gazed with wide eyes as the teacher held up a big picture book about farm animals. She giggled and pointed every time a new animal appeared on the page, especially when the ducklings and piglets came waddling out.
Naptime was Ellie's favorite. She lay curled up on her cot, comforted by the sounds of the other sleeping children all around her. Her stuffed kitty kept her company as she sucked her thumb and drifted off into peaceful dreams about playing with her best friend Sarah.
The afternoon brought more adventures - dress up time and playing on the playground. Ellie went down the slide again and again, toddling back up the steps on wobbly legs only to squeal in delight as she zoomed down once more.
Too soon, Ellie heard her name called at the end of the day. "Ellie, your mommy is here!" Ellie ran over to Sarah's mom, who scooped her up.
"Did you have fun with Sarah today?" Mom asked.
"Uh huh!" Ellie nodded.
As Mom carried Ellie out of the daycare, Ellie caught one last glimpse of her best friend Sarah waving goodbye. She waved back happily. It had been the best day ever! Ellie couldn't wait to come back and play with Sarah again tomorrow. Her little toddler mind completely accepted this as her new reality. As Ellie babbled about her day to Mom, a content smile settled on her face.
Yellow Gloves:
Max was an energetic 8-year-old boy who loved to play and get into mischief around the house. He had two younger siblings - his sister Millie who was 3 years old, and his baby brother Bobby who was just 1. Their mother Claire was always busy cleaning up after the kids, washing dishes, folding laundry, and tidying up messes.
One Saturday morning, Max was sitting at the kitchen table eating cereal. He slurped up the last bit of milk from his bowl, then accidently knocked it off the table where it shattered on the floor. "Uh oh," Max said. He jumped up to find something to clean up the broken bowl and spilled milk before his mother saw the mess.
Max ran to the utility closet and saw his mother's yellow rubber cleaning gloves sitting on the shelf. His mother always wore those gloves when she cleaned around the house. Max grabbed the gloves and tugged them onto his small hands. They were much too big, but he thought they would protect him from cutting his hands on the sharp pieces of the broken bowl.
As soon as Max put on the gloves, he started to feel strange. A warm, tingling feeling spread from his hands up through his arms and into his entire body. His mind felt a little cloudy, like it does right before you fall asleep. Max looked down at his hands in the giant yellow gloves and felt his body start to transform.
His arms and legs grew longer. His t-shirt and shorts seemed to shrink up his body, revealing several inches of his wrists and ankles. Max could feel his hair growing longer and settling around his shoulders. He shook his head in confusion - what was happening?
Just then, Millie came skipping into the kitchen. "Mommy, can I have a snack?" she asked. She stopped short when she saw Max standing there with the yellow gloves on. "Mommy??" Millie asked again.
Max opened his mouth to answer but was surprised to hear his mother's voice come out! "Of course sweetie, let me get you some apple slices," Max/his mother responded warmly. Max felt his body continue transforming until he was a complete copy of his mother Claire. He had her long wavy hair, her slender frame dressed in leggings and a flowy blouse, and even the same silver bracelets around his wrists.
Max's mind was also slowly shifting. He glanced around the kitchen through his mother's eyes. The spilled milk and broken bowl on the floor no longer seemed like a fun mistake - what a mess! Max felt a maternal instinct to nurture his younger siblings. "Here you go darling," he said as he handed the apple slices to Millie.
Just then, Bobby started crying from his nursery. Max shuffled down the hall in his mother's body. He easily scooped up the fussy baby and gently rocked him in his arms. "Shhh little one," Max heard himself whisper in his mother's voice. Bobby calmed down immediately, cooing up at who he thought was his mommy.
Max's mind flickered between his own energetic boyish spirit, and the calm nurturing personality of his mother. He didn't know how long this would last. While one part of him wanted to sneak a cookie and go play trucks in the yard, another part wanted to fold the laundry and start preparing lunch for the family.
Just then, Max heard the front door open as his father returned from running errands. "Hey hon, I'm back!" his dad called out. Max panicked, not wanting his father to see him transformed into his mother. He quickly slipped off the yellow cleaning gloves, restoring himself back into mischievous young Max. The gloves dropped to the floor.
"There you are!" Max's dad said as he walked into the kitchen. "Were you playing with your mom's cleaning gloves?" Max grinned sheepishly. "Yeah, but only for a minute," he fibbed. "Well, go put them back where you found them, okay?" his dad instructed. "And better clean up that spilled milk before your mother sees it!"
Max grabbed some paper towels and wiped up the mess on the floor. He returned the cleaning gloves to the utility closet, but glanced at them a moment before closing the door. What had happened when he put them on? Would it happen again? Max shook his head and laughed it off. It must have all been his imagination running wild. He scampered off to play with his trucks, leaving the magical cleaning gloves alone - for now!
The Pinch of a life time:
Cody sighed contentedly as he sank into the warm sand, enjoying the feeling of the sun on his skin. He had the entire beach to himself today. After a stressful week at work, this was exactly what he needed - some peace and quiet relaxation at his favorite spot by the ocean.
Closing his eyes, Cody allowed the soothing sounds of the waves gently lapping at the shore to wash over him. He could feel the tension and stress melting away with each passing minute. Before long, he had drifted off into a light nap.
Cody was jolted awake some time later by a sudden sharp pinch on his left foot. "Ow!" he yelped, sitting up quickly and looking down to see what had caused the pain. There, clinging stubbornly to his big toe, was a large red crab.
Cody shook his foot rapidly, trying to dislodge the crab, but its claw remained firmly clamped on his toe. After a minute of fruitless shaking, Cody reached down and detached the crab, tossing it aside in annoyance.
"Stupid crab," he muttered, examining the red mark on his toe where the pinchers had been moments before. He hoped it wouldn't swell up or bruise too badly. The crab had really dug its claws in.
Settling back down in the sand, Cody resolved to be more aware of his surroundings. He didn't want to get pinched again. As he rested, Cody felt an itching, tingling sensation in the toe that had been pinched. He scratched at it, assuming it must be from the crab's irritation. But the itching persisted.
Over the next few days, Cody's toe remained irritated. No matter how much he scrubbed it or applied ointment, it wouldn't go away. The itching and tingling had now spread across his entire foot. Strange, he thought. Maybe he was having an allergic reaction to the crab venom?
By the end of the first week, Cody was horrified to see that his irritated foot was developing a reddish hue. Almost like a crab shell... But that wasn't possible, was it? Fearing he was losing his mind, Cody made an appointment to see his doctor.
"Hmm," murmured Dr. Patel, inspecting Cody's foot. "It does look like the beginning stages of a shell. But that can't be..." He took some samples and promised to run tests.
The test results revealed nothing useful, however. Stumped, Dr. Patel referred Cody to a specialist - a marine biologist familiar with crabs. Cody got an appointment right away, desperate for answers.
Dr. Longo, the marine biologist, was fascinated by Cody's symptoms. "This is extraordinary!" he exclaimed, probing and inspecting Cody's foot. "I believe you may be undergoing a metabolic mutation caused by the crab venom. Extremely rare, but theoretically possible."
Cody listened with growing alarm as Dr. Longo explained that the venom appeared to be slowly transforming his cells, rewriting his DNA...turning him into a crab from the feet up. Cody could hardly believe what he was hearing. This had to be a nightmare!
But over the next few weeks, the changes accelerated. Both feet were now encased in rigid shells and his legs grew shorter and more bent. Spindly antennae began protruding from his forehead. His fingers fused into claws...
Cody was frantic, terrified by his bizarre transformation. He tried everything - medications, therapies, home remedies - but nothing could stop the crab cells rapidly overtaking his human ones.
Soon, Cody could barely walk on his new crustacean legs. He moved into Dr. Longo's research lab for constant monitoring. The mental changes were the most frightening for Cody. His thoughts grew simpler, dominated by basic needs - hunger, fear, aggression. Memories of his human life receded further every day.
One morning, exactly one month after the pinch at the beach, Cody's lifeless human body lay in the lab. All that remained was a giant red crab, scuttling across the floor. Cody was gone.
Dr. Longo shook his head sadly. He carefully transported the Cody-crab to an aquarium habitat, still puzzled over how a simple crab pinch could possibly result in such a devastating transformation. As he released the crab into its new home, Dr. Longo wondered - could there be something special, something mutated, about the crabs on that beach? He would have to investigate...
The Lucky Egg:
Toby could hardly contain his excitement as he walked through the woods towards Professor Oak's lab. Today was the big day - he was finally going to get his first Pokémon! Toby had been dreaming of this moment for years. Ever since he was a little kid, he wanted to be a Pokémon trainer and go on adventures.
As Toby hurried down the path, he glanced around at the tall trees surrounding him. It was so peaceful out here. The morning sun filtered through the leaves, creating dappled patches of light on the ground. A gentle breeze rustled the branches overhead. Somewhere nearby, he could hear the chirping of Pidgey.
Toby was so caught up in his surroundings that he almost didn't notice the small white egg lying nestled in a bed of leaves just off the side of the path. He paused, looking down at it in surprise. What was an egg doing out here all alone? Its mother was nowhere in sight. The egg looked freshly lain.
Crouching down, Toby gently picked up the fragile egg. It was warm in his hands. As he stood back up, he made a decision - he would take the egg with him to Professor Oak's lab. Surely the Professor would know what to do with an abandoned Pokémon egg.
Careful not to jostle the egg too much, Toby unzipped his jacket and tucked the egg inside, nestling it in the warmth between his chest and shirt. He would keep it safe until he got to the lab.
Zipping his jacket back up part way, Toby continued on his way. But after a few more minutes of walking, he started to feel strange. A tingling, prickling sensation was spreading through his body. It started in his chest, where the egg was tucked, and spread outward to his limbs.
Concerned, Toby came to a stop and unzipped his jacket again. To his shock, the egg was in a pouch! In its place was a fleshy pink pouch. Toby stared at it in disbelief and horror. The pouch was attached to his torso right where he had been carrying the egg.
As Toby watched, the changes continued. Soft pink fur began sprouting all over his body. His limbs shortened, becoming chubby and round. A curly pink tail grew in behind him. Toby could only stand there, helpless, as his body slowly transformed.
Meanwhile, in his mind, Toby's thoughts were shifting too. His human desires and memories were fading, being replaced by simpler Pokémon instincts and behaviors. Toby tried to cry out for help, but all that came out was "Chansey!"
The transformation was complete. Toby was gone. In his place stood a Chansey - a happy, docile Pokémon. The Chansey looked around, confused about how she had gotten there. But she knew she was a Pokémon who liked helping others. With a cheerful cry of "Chansey!" she ambled off into the woods, ready to find people and Pokémon to care for.
Deep down, there was still a tiny spark of Toby's human consciousness left. Trapped within the Chansey's body and mind, Toby screamed silently. He was still aware, but there was nothing he could do. Toby would be forced to live out the rest of his life as a Pokémon. He would never get to start his Pokémon training journey. Professor Oak would surely wonder what had happened when Toby failed to show up that morning. But no one would ever know the truth - that Toby was now a Chansey wandering the woods. It was a fate worse than death. Toby wished the transformation would have been complete, wiping out all remnants of his human self. Existing as a glimmer of consciousness within a Pokémon body was true torture. But Toby was powerless. For the rest of his days, he would live as a Chansey, with the memories of his human life taunting him.
That Gothic color lipstick:
Zeke sighed as he walked home from school. He didn't understand why those goth girls bothered him so much. They were always acting so weird and dressing in black. Today, Zeke made fun of them again, laughing at their pale skin and dark makeup. Little did he know, the goths didn't take too kindly to his teasing.
When Zeke wasn't looking, one of the girls slipped a tube of black lipstick into his backpack. It was cursed lipstick that would slowly transform whoever used it into a goth girl. The girls smirked as Zeke walked away, oblivious.
Zeke entered his bedroom and tossed his bag onto the bed. The lipstick tube rolled out onto the comforter. Zeke picked it up, confused. Why did he have lipstick? Shrugging, he examined the tube. It was jet black and had a spiderweb design. For some reason, Zeke felt compelled to try it on. Before he could think twice, he swept the color across his lips.
Immediately, Zeke's face began to tingle. He tried to wipe the lipstick off, but it wouldn't budge. Suddenly, he didn't want to remove it. The color looked good on him. Zeke shook his head, what was he thinking? But the more he stared in the mirror, the more he liked his gothic look.
Over the next few days, Zeke's appearance started to change. His sandy brown hair darkened to jet black. His skin grew paler and paler. He even started painting his nails black. Zeke didn't understand these urges, but he couldn't fight them.
Deep down, Zeke's mindset was transforming too. He started ditching his preppy clothes for black tops, skirts, and fishnets. The goth style just felt right. When his friends invited him places, he turned them down, preferring to write dark poetry alone in his room.
One morning, Zeke woke up and realized he couldn't remember his own name. Zach? Zane? No, it was Zelda. She examined her fully transformed self in the mirror. Her makeup was flawless and she felt confident and powerful in her gothic outfit.
Zelda didn't recall anything from her life before. All she knew was that she couldn't wait to get to school and hang out with those goth girls. They would finally accept her as one of their own.
When Zelda arrived at school, the goth girls were shocked. Just last week, this had been Zeke, their tormentor. But now, he was nowhere to be found. Instead, Zelda eagerly asked to sit with them at lunch. She applied a fresh coat of black lipstick and listened eagerly as the girls explained rituals and spells.
The goths were impressed with Zelda's transformation. The lipstick had worked its magic perfectly. As they talked about dark poetry and music, Zelda realized she had finally found where she belonged. She was a goth now, and her old preppy self was gone forever.
From that day on, Zelda was inseparable from her new goth friends. They went to the mall together, got matching piercings and tattoos, and spent their weekends wandering through cemeteries. Zeke was just a distant memory. Zelda threw herself fully into the goth lifestyle.
One day, as the girls lounged in the park, Zelda turned to them. "Why did you give me that lipstick in the first place?" she asked.
The goths glanced at each other. One finally replied, "Let's just say, you weren't very nice to us before. Consider this payback."
Zelda was confused but shrugged it off. Her past didn't matter anyway. She was a goth now and that was all that counted. Zelda reapplied her black lipstick and flashed her friends a wicked smile. They laughed together under the moonlight, bound by their mysterious transformation magic.
When one door closes another one Opens:
Dillon stared at the platform, his heart racing with anticipation. After years of research and testing, this was it - the moment he would finally connect with his alternate self.
He had discovered that one of his variants was tall, muscular, and brilliant - everything Dillon wished he could be. For so long he had felt inadequate compared to others, but now he had a chance to transfer his mind into the body and life of his superior self.
Dillon turned to his girlfriend Margaret, who was manning the control panel. "This is it," he said, giving her hand a squeeze. "Initiate the transfer."
Margaret nodded, turning her focus to the array of blinking buttons and switches. She input the coordinates they had uncovered for Dillon's perfect alternate. Her finger hovered over the final button, the one that would connect their worlds.
"Ready?" she asked.
Dillon stepped onto the platform, his heart hammering in his chest. "Ready."
Margaret pressed the button. A great hum filled the room as energy built up in the machine. Dillon closed his eyes, waiting for the transfer to begin.
Suddenly the hum changed in pitch, becoming irregular. Dillon's eyes shot open. "What's happening?"
Margaret frantically turned knobs and pressed buttons. "Something's wrong! I don't know what-"
A blast knocked them both backwards. Dillon's vision blurred, then went black.
When he opened his eyes, Margaret was crouched over him, her face creased with concern. "Are you okay?" she asked.
Dillon sat up slowly. His body felt...strange. He looked down at his hands and gasped - they were furry, brown paws.
"What did you do?" he tried to ask, but all that came out was a series of barks.
Margaret's eyes went wide. "You're a dog! Not just any dog - a female husky!"
Dillon scrambled to his feet - all four of them - and rushed to the nearest mirror. Staring back at him was a beautiful husky with ice blue eyes.
He turned to Margaret in a panic. She seemed to understand his intense gaze. "I must have hit the wrong coordinates," she said. "I connected you to a reality where you're...Daisy, a dog."
Dillon's mind reeled. How was this possible? And how would he get back to normal?
Over the next few days, he discovered his canine body came with canine instincts. His thoughts grew simpler, his previous life fading away. Margaret was kind to him, though she seemed sad. He tried to comfort her, nuzzling his furry head against her.
Weeks passed. Margaret got used to having Daisy around and took her everywhere. Dillon's old memories were almost entirely gone, replaced by a dog's unconditional love for his human.
Then the side effects started. One morning, Daisy awoke feeling strange again. She caught sight of herself in the mirror - she was in the gangly, oversized body of a husky puppy!
Margaret did some tests and realized Daisy's cells were still fluctuating from the transfer. She was regressing back to puppyhood.
Daisy didn't mind. She bounded around Margaret's apartment, exploring everything with her new puppy energy. She chewed up shoes, overturned trash cans, and begged for treats. Margaret seemed overwhelmed.
Soon Daisy's memories faded even more, until she was a blank slate, acting on pure puppy instinct. Margaret had to potty train her, teach her commands from scratch, and keep her from chewing everything in sight. Exhausted but determined, Margaret stayed patient.
One night, as Daisy snuggled up to Margaret, she felt content. Her mind was simple, her life easy. She drifted off to sleep, warm, loved, and happy - the perfect end to her unusual journey.
The strange Dino Island:
Simon awoke on the sandy shore, waves lapping at his feet. The last thing he remembered was his ship sinking in a terrible storm. He sat up and looked around. Lush, tropical jungle stretched inland as far as he could see. Giant ferns and massive trees with leaves as big as a man reached up to the sky. Strange calls echoed through the trees. This was no ordinary island.
As Simon stood, he noticed his leg was badly cut. He tore a strip from his shirt to bandage the wound. He had no supplies and no idea where he was. He headed inland, hoping to find fresh water. Pushing through the huge leaves and fronds, he suddenly stumbled into a clearing. In the center sat a giant egg, nearly Simon's height. It looked like no egg he had ever seen. Cracks spiderwebbed the surface. Simon reached out and touched it in awe. As he did, his finger caught on a sharp edge and began to bleed.
Over the next few days, Simon explored the island. He found a stream and some fruits he hoped were safe to eat. But his leg wound grew infected. By the seventh day, he was delirious with fever. He collapsed near the egg clearing. When he awoke, he felt stronger. His fever had broken. But something was different. Colors seemed duller, except for greens, which popped with vivid intensity. His sense of smell was incredibly sharp. And was he...taller?
As the days passed, more changes came. Simon's skin thickened and took on a leathery texture. His jaws extended into a snout full of razor sharp teeth. His arms shrank and fused into his body as his neck and tail grew longer. Hard osteoderms formed along his back. Soon Simon towered thirty feet high, a mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex.
The newly born dinosaur had no use for human memories. She set out to hunt, her thundering footfalls shaking the earth. When she came across the scent of other tyrannosaurs, ancient instincts took over. She followed the scent to a nesting ground, where she found a clutch of eggs. Moved by forces unknown, she approached the nest and began to shrink, regressing rapidly back into an egg. As she slipped into dormancy, the last shreds of Simon's humanity vanished. She was reborn as a baby tyrannosaur, ready to hatch and live out her destiny on the mysterious dinosaur island.
Saving the Frog Breeding Ground:
Nikki, Luke, Logan, Gwen, Debbie and Molly were a close group of friends who cared deeply about protecting the environment. When they heard that a local frog breeding ground was going to be destroyed to make way for a new housing development, they knew they had to take action.
The six friends came up with a plan to disrupt the construction and convince the developers to halt their plans. They camped out at the breeding ground day and night, waving signs and blocking any attempt to start clearing the land.
A few days into their protest, Nikki started feeling strange. Her skin felt slippery and she had an urge to hop instead of walk. She emerged from her tent one morning to discover she had transformed into a green tree frog! Her friends were shocked, but vowed to continue their efforts to save the frogs.
Over the next few days, each of the friends slowly transformed into different frog species native to the breeding ground. Luke became a large bullfrog, croaking loudly to defend his new territory. Logan morphed into a spotted leopard frog, blending in with the mud along the pond's edge. Gwen became a colorful wood frog, perfect for hopping among the trees and leaves.
Debbie transformed into a tiny spring peeper, using her strong legs to leap across the grass. Molly was the last to change, turning into a beautiful pickerel frog with her brown and golden markings. Though alarmed by their transformations, the friends embraced their new identities, feeling connected to the frogs they were working so hard to protect.
As the days passed, the group noticed themselves gradually regressing to earlier life stages. Their limbs shrank as they morphed from adult frogs into tadpoles, swimming around the pond in schools. Over the next week, they became tiny black frogspawn, clinging to the underwater plants.
The friends were now fully integrated into the ecosystem of the breeding ground. As the frogspawn, their old human memories and identities faded away. Their DNA was rewritten with the genetic code of frogs. They had become exactly what they set out to save.
The developers eventually decided to halt the destruction of the breeding ground, moved by the passion and dedication of the protesters. Though Nikki, Luke, Logan, Gwen, Debbie and Molly were gone, their efforts lived on in the next generation of frogs that continued to thrive in the protected wetlands. The friends had gotten their wish to save the frogs, even if it meant losing themselves in the process.
A good punishment:
Matthew, Marcus and Desmond sat solemnly in the courtroom, awaiting their fate. The three men had caused havoc by instigating a riot and looting at the local mall. Now they faced serious consequences for their reckless actions.
The judge finally emerged and delivered the sentence - the three would serve as handmaidens for the noblewoman Lady Genevieve as punishment. Matthew gulped anxiously, Marcus shook his head in disbelief, and Desmond stared numbly ahead. This was not what they had expected.
The next morning, they were granted a final meal catered by the castle's cook. The three men ate in silence, dreading what was to come. After the plates were cleared, they were led into an ornate room and told to stand in the center.
Moments later, a man in long robes entered. He introduced himself as Magnus, a sorcerer from the Magical Twins Lab. He informed them that he would be casting a spell to transform them into handmaidens who would serve Lady Genevieve.
Magnus began chanting in a strange language, waving his hands dramatically. The men gasped as a golden glow surrounded them. Before long, changes started occurring.
Matthew felt his muscular body becoming slender and curves forming at his waist and hips. His facial hair disappeared as his features took on a feminine beauty. Long, flowing locks of hair cascaded down his back. The changes progressed down his body until he was fully transformed into a woman. Glancing down, Matthew realized he was now Maddie.
Beside him, Marcus was undergoing a similar metamorphosis. His tall frame shrank as his shoulders narrowed and chest swelled. With wide eyes, he watched his hands become dainty and delicate. He could only stare in disbelief as he was reshaped into Mary.
At the same time, Desmond felt his body morphing as well. His jawline softened and his neck became graceful. Auburn hair sprouted from his scalp and grew past his petite shoulders. He blinked his enlarged eyes when the changes completed, reborn as the beautiful handmaiden Destiny.
When the transformations finished, Magnus declared the spell a success. Not only had their bodies changed, but their minds had been altered too. Maddie, Mary and Destiny had no memories of their former lives. They were now fully devoted handmaidens eager to serve Lady Genevieve.
The next five years passed smoothly, with the three dutifully attending to the noblewoman. They poured her tea, laced up her corsets, and entertained her with music and dance. Over time, Lady Genevieve grew quite fond of her graceful and charming handmaidens.
Finally, the day came when the women were given a choice - to remain as handmaidens or reverse the spell and become men again. After much consideration, all three decided they preferred their new identities. The spell had unlocked something within them, and they wished to continue living as Maddie, Mary and Destiny.
Lady Genevieve was thrilled, for she had also come to cherish her loyal handmaidens. From that day forward, the three women served happily at the side of their mistress, leaving their broken pasts behind for good.
The Bite of Cattle:
Carly was the young wife of a successful farmer; She lived in comfort but she would occasionally work around the farm and help her husband with the cattle. One sunny morning, Carly went out to the pasture to feed the cows. As she poured grain into the feed troughs, Bessie, one of the older cows, came up behind her. Without warning, Bessie clamped her jaws down on Carly's arm.
Carly cried out in pain and jerked her arm away. She looked down to see blood oozing from a set of deep tooth marks. Angrily, she shooed Bessie away and headed back to the house to clean and bandage the wound.
Over the next few days, Carly noticed the bite marks weren't healing properly. The wounds looked inflamed and she felt sick. Soon, a fever set in and Carly took to her bed. Her husband called the doctor, who prescribed antibiotics, but nothing seemed to help.
As the fever raged, Carly began to change. Tufts of coarse brown hair sprouted on her arms and legs. Her fingers shortened and hardened into hooves. Even her face took on a more bovine appearance, with a broad nose and large, vacant eyes. Carly's mind also dimmed as the infection took hold. She became confused and frightened by the changes overtaking her body.
Soon, Carly could no longer speak, only low mournfully like a cow. She tried to fight the overwhelming urge to graze on all fours in the fields. But the cow's instincts were too strong, and eventually Carly's humanity slipped away completely. Where the farmer's wife once stood was now just another cow, indistinguishable from the others.
Over the next few weeks, more bites occurred. Bessie targeted other women who came near the herd, sinking her infected teeth into them before they could react. The victims whimpered in pain as Bessie returned calmly to grazing while they stumbled away. Soon, they too succumbed to the bovine transformation.
The farmer noticed his cattle were multiplying, but did not connect it to the missing women. He was simply pleased at the growth of his herd. As time passed, the cattle spread across the countryside, biting and infecting more people. Eventually, entire towns were transformed into bovine shadows of their former selves.
No one understood what was happening. There was no cure for the Cow Infection. The world descended into chaos as the last remnants of humanity made a desperate stand against the bovine onslaught. But for Carly, there was only the contented grazing in green pastures. Her simplified cow mind had no concerns beyond grass, water, and occasional milking by the farmer. Carly the woman was gone forever, replaced by a placid existence as just another cow.
Not ready to drive just yet:
Violet could hardly contain her excitement as she clutched her newly minted driver's license. At 16 years old, she was finally old enough to get behind the wheel and take the car for a spin on her own. She gave her mom a quick "Thank you!" before bounding out the front door, keys in hand.
Sliding into the driver's seat, Violet adjusted the mirror and seat to her liking, then carefully backed the car down the driveway. With one turn of the wheel, she was off on her first solo drive.
As Violet gained confidence, she pressed down on the gas pedal and picked up speed. Driving faster than she ever had before gave her an exhilarating rush of freedom. She rolled down the windows and cranked up the music, singing along as the wind whipped through her hair.
Up ahead, Violet spotted the entrance to the Crosby Tunnel. As she drove inside, the sunlight faded behind her and she flicked on the headlights. Surrounded by darkness, Violet suddenly felt a strange tingling sensation wash over her body. She shook her head, trying to clear the weird feeling, but it only intensified.
Glancing down, Violet gasped as she realized her clothes were growing looser on her petite frame. Her shoes slid right off her now tiny feet. Violet's vision blurred and the steering wheel seemed to move further away as her arms and legs began to shrink. "What's happening to me?" she cried out in panic.
Within moments, Violet found herself swallowed up in her now gigantic t-shirt. From the backseat, she heard the unmistakable sound of a children's show. To her shock, she turned to see an episode of Sesame Street playing on a small TV.
In the glow of the screen, Violet looked down to see her body transformed into that of a toddler. She now sat snugly strapped into a car seat, her feet unable to reach the floor. Her hands clenched and unclenched instinctively, desperate to touch the colorful, friendly characters dancing across the screen.
As her adult mind faded, Violet giggled and clapped along to the show's cheerful songs. The tunnel's darkness no longer frightened her. She sucked contently on her pacifier as shapes and letters captivated her attention fully.
The car emerged back into daylight, though Violet did not notice. She was completely absorbed in her show, babbling and cooing happily. Up front, her mommy drove towards the mall, chatting about their plans to go baby shopping today. Violet bounced excitedly in her seat at the thought of new toys.
A new role in the Gym:
Milo dribbled the basketball, his sneakers squeaking against the gym floor. He was alone, just him and the hoop, working on his jump shot before school started. Swish. Another perfect basket.
As Milo chased down the ball, he noticed another basketball sitting nearby. Strange, he thought. Where did that come from? The ball seemed to glow and pulsate, as if it had a life of its own. Milo paused, then shrugged and picked it up. No harm in an extra ball, right?
Milo dribbled the glowing ball to the free throw line. As he lined up his shot, the ball grew warm in his hands. Milo shook his head, trying to clear the fuzzy feeling that was creeping over him. He shot the ball. Swish. Another perfect basket.
Milo grabbed the ball as it bounced back to him, but suddenly buckled over in pain. A strange tingling sensation was spreading throughout his body. He dropped the ball and watched in shock as his hands seemed to grow wider and softer. Nail polish appeared on his fingertips as they became delicate and feminine.
The tingling spread down his body, his height shrinking, waist widening, chest expanding. Milo staggered towards the locker room, each step now taken in low heels as his feet transformed into a woman's. He caught a glimpse of himself in a mirror, yelping in shock at the middle-aged female face staring back.
By the time Milo made it to the office, the transformation was complete. Gone was the teenage boy, replaced by 58 year-old Mindy Heartstone. Mindy blinked in confusion as memories flooded her mind. Of course, she was the PE teacher. She'd worked at this school for over 30 years now.
Mindy sighed, her aged joints creaking. It was time to start her day. She riffled through the papers on her desk, pausing to pass gas loudly. Her flatulence had gotten worse lately, an annoying side effect of age. She’d have to remember her medication.
After gathering the equipment her first class would need, Mindy headed for the gym, high heels clicking. She couldn’t shake the feeling she was forgetting something important. But whatever it was, it was gone now.
Mindy didn't notice the faint outline of a teenage boy watching her leave, a sad smile on his face. Milo was gone, but he hoped Mindy would have a good rest of her life. With a final glance around the gym where he had spent his last moments, Milo's spirit faded away.
When studying becomes too real:
Betty crouched down in the damp forest, peering at the large banana slug inching along the mossy log. As a biology student researching slugs for her thesis, she was fascinated by their slippery bodies and slow, deliberate movements. Betty knew she shouldn't touch it, since their mucus could irritate human skin. But her curiosity got the better of her.
Reaching out a finger, Betty gently poked the slug's back. Its mucus coated her finger as it continued slithering along, unbothered. She wiped her hand on a leaf, thinking nothing of the brief contact. Over the next few days, Betty spent hours observing the slugs, taking notes and photographs.
One morning, Betty awoke feeling odd. Her usually nimble fingers felt clumsy as she got dressed. In the mirror, her face looked slightly swollen. Betty shook it off as lack of sleep and headed to the forest. Crouching by a rotting log, she noticed a slug's eyestalks peering at her.
"Don't worry, little guy. I'm just here to watch," she murmured. The words felt strange in her mouth, which seemed to be thicker than normal. As Betty watched the slug ooze along the bark, she had an urge to crawl onto the log too. She dismissed the thought, making a note about the slug's speed.
Over the next week, Betty found it harder to walk and talk. Her limbs became sluggish, feet shuffling instead of stepping. Words came out slow and slurred. Eyelids heavy, Betty dozed more often, dreaming of cool, dark places.
One morning, she woke up on the forest floor, covered in leaves. She glanced at her hands - they were gone. In their place were two stubby tentacles. Betty tried to scream, but only a soft croak emerged.
She examined her body. Her legs had fused together into a single muscular trunk. Her brown hair was gone, replaced by a sticky mucus coating. As she breathed slowly, her lungs felt different...simpler. She peered at a puddle. Staring back was a giant banana slug.
Oddly, Betty felt no fear, just acceptance. The forest floor welcomed her as she began to slither along it. Sweet decaying leaves and mushrooms delighted her senses. She oozed up the bark of a tree, her viscous body conforming to its cracks and grooves.
As Betty the slug explored her new home, the last traces of her human thoughts melted away. Betty was no more. Now there was only the slug, absorbed in the scents and textures of the forest. A large log appeared, covered in juicy fungus. Oh, how she wanted to slowly glide along its length! She stretched out her eye stalks, gazing at it longingly as she began to ooze towards it. Betty was gone, but the slug lived on.
The family they always wanted but the not the way they plan for:
Frank sighed as he held his wife Gwen's hands, looking into her worried eyes. As a fitness instructor, Gwen took great pride in her athletic physique, honed through years of diligent workouts and clean eating. Now, as they discussed starting a family, Gwen couldn't hide her anxiety about the impending changes pregnancy would bring.
"I know it's vain..." she said, "But I've worked so hard for this body. I don't want to lose it all when I get huge during pregnancy."
Frank rubbed her shoulder reassuringly. "Don't worry, honey. No matter what, you'll still be beautiful to me." But seeing Gwen's crestfallen face, Frank wished there was something he could do to ease her concerns. If only he could carry the baby instead!
That night, as Frank drifted off to sleep, he found himself murmuring, "I wish I could carry our baby for you..." Unbeknownst to Frank, his wish was about to come true in a most unexpected way!
The next morning, Frank awoke feeling strange. His center of gravity felt off and his body heavier. Did he catch a bug? Sitting up with effort, Frank looked down and gasped. Protruding from his muscular chest were two round, tender breasts!
Frantically, Frank examined the rest of his unfamiliar body. Wide hips, smooth skin...he had transformed into a woman overnight! Throwing off the sheets, Frank saw he still had the same short black hair and brown eyes. This female body was his, only now fully female in every way!
Just then, Gwen stirred awake beside him. "Honey, what's wr- AHH!" She recoiled at the sight of the strange woman in their bed.
"Gwen, it's me!" Frank squeaked in an higher pitched voice. He explained what happened, recounting his wish the night before.
Gwen's shock turned to awe as she processed the incredible situation. She now occupied Frank's tall, muscular male body, while Frank inhabited her petite, curvaceous female form.
"So you really meant it about carrying our baby." Gwen smiled, kissing Frank tenderly. "That's the sweetest thing ever!"
Over the next few days, the newly transformed couple adjusted to their swapped roles. Gwen enjoyed testing her strength in a masculine body, while Frank learned how to dress and move femininely.
Though their gender swap wasn't without hiccups. When Frank sat, he had to remember to cross his legs modestly. Gwen kept manspreading on the subway before catching herself.
A month later, the big day arrived - Frank took a positive pregnancy test! Thrilled, Frank and Gwen announced the news to family and friends who were stunned but supportive.
As the months passed, pregnancy suited Frank's female body beautifully. He marveled feeling their baby girl kick within his growing belly.
Meanwhile, Gwen reveled in her protective husband role. She accompanied Frank to birthing classes and appointments, doting on him all the while.
Finally, Frank went into labor. After hours of intense contractions, he successfully birthed a healthy baby girl into Gwen's waiting arms.
Exhausted but overjoyed, Frank and Gwen kissed as new parents. Though Frank's wish brought unexpected changes, their love and family grew stronger than ever.
Dog Mode:
Toby and Julie were out running some errands on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Toby pulled the Tesla into a parking spot at the supermarket and put the car into park.
"I'm just going to run in and grab a few things. Do you want to come in or wait here?" Toby asked Julie.
"I'll just wait in the car, thanks," Julie replied, not looking up from scrolling on her phone.
"Okay, be back in a few!" Toby said as he hopped out of the driver's seat.
Without realizing, his hand grazed the touchscreen and he inadvertently activated Dog Mode. The interior of the Tesla cooled and a message displayed on the center console screen letting passersby know that Julie was safe in the climate-controlled car.
Oblivious, Julie sank back into her seat, eyes glued to her phone screen as she aimlessly scrolled through social media. A strange tingling sensation crept over her body, starting in her fingers and toes. She wiggled them absentmindedly, assuming her foot had just fallen asleep.
The tingling spread up her limbs and across her torso. Julie scratched her neck, feeling itchy all over. She shook her head, trying to focus again on the photos and videos passing by on her phone.
Her concentration was interrupted by movement in her peripheral vision. Julie turned and was startled to see a furry, caramel-colored tail wagging behind the driver's seat. She blinked hard, certain her eyes were playing tricks on her. But when she opened them again, the tail was still there, thumping rhythmically against the seat.
Julie sat upright in alarm, noticing for the first time that her fingers now had little black pads on them instead of fingernails. She ran her tongue over her teeth which were longer and pointier than she remembered. Dropping her phone, she caught a glimpse of two furry, folded down ears poking up through her hair.
Beginning to panic, Julie desperately grasped at the door handle to get out of the car. But her transforming fingers could no longer grip the handle. She pawed uselessly at the window, as her ears perked up at the sound of Toby's footsteps approaching.
The driver's door opened and Toby slid back into his seat. "They were out of tortilla chips, so I just got pretzels instea—" Toby stopped short as he noticed the golden retriever panting happily at him from Julie's seat.
"Julie?" he asked incredulously. The dog woofed and nuzzled its wet nose against Toby's cheek. "But...how?" Toby sputtered in disbelief.
His gaze landed on the Dog Mode display still lit up on the dashboard. It all clicked into place. Toby reached out and affectionately scratched behind the dog's ears.
"Well Julie, I guess you're my new pet now!" he chuckled lightheartedly. Julie panted and wagged her tail excitedly. She clambered into Toby's lap, licking his face. Her human thoughts and memories had vanished completely, replaced by simple, devoted canine instincts focused only on pleasing her beloved new master.
