These are some stories that I made way back during lockdown. I felt like these stories weren't good enough to be posted. So here they are. If you like them let me know in the comments and I'll give them a small update and add some images to them.
The Milk enhancer:
Tracy was a scientist who had dedicated his life to perfecting the art of dairy farming. He spent countless hours in his lab, tirelessly working to develop a formula that would boost milk production in cows. Tracy's friend owned a dairy farm a few miles away, and allowed Tracy to conduct experiments using his herd.
The farm's star cow was Betty, whose prodigious milk output exceeded all the others. Tracy had carefully analyzed samples of Betty's milk, breaking it down to its molecular components. He was convinced that by isolating the compounds responsible for her incredible productivity, he could create a supplement to increase milk yields in ordinary cows.
After months of painstaking work, Tracy had developed what he believed to be the perfect milk production booster. He filled a syringe with the opaque white liquid, his excitement growing. This could revolutionize dairy farming, solving the global challenges of feeding a growing population.
Tracy raced to the farm, not wanting to waste any time testing his new formula. He went straight to the milking parlor, scanning the rows of cows until his eyes landed on Jessie. She was the farm's poorest producer, only giving a fraction of Betty's daily output.
As Tracy approached with the loaded syringe, Jessie grew agitated, skittishly avoiding him. "Easy girl, this will only help you," he murmured. But Jessie wanted no part of the strange fluid this human was brandishing. As Tracy tried to close in, Jessie reared up suddenly, bumping into him.
The syringe flew from Tracy's hands, landing needle down in the hay. Tracy lunged for it, but felt a sharp stab in his palm as his hand closed around the syringe. A few drops of the milk formula had injected into his bloodstream.
Dismayed, Tracy quickly detached the needle and slipped the remaining liquid into his pocket. He felt foolish losing control of the syringe like a novice. As he stood up, a wave of nausea and dizziness struck him. Tracy's vision blurred, his throat suddenly feeling thick and congested.
"What's happening to me?" he muttered in confusion. Tracy's hands reached for his neck as he struggled to breathe. His fingers brushed against leathery flesh and coarse hair. Dropping to all fours, he could only watch in shock as white fur rippled across his skin.
Within moments, the transformation was complete. Tracy the human had become a full-grown Holstein dairy cow. Dazed, he tried to make sense of his new perspective from the barn floor. His awkward attempts to stand on all fours sent him slipping and stumbling about the milking parlor.
Just then, the farmer entered to prep the cows for the afternoon milking. He stopped short at the sight of the new arrival. "Well now, where did you come from?" He patted the cow's rump, inspecting her udders. "Nice milk bag on this one. We'll call her Bessie."
Before Tracy could react, he felt the heavy weight of a cow bell being fitted around his neck. The farmer ushered him to an open spot along the milking line. Tracy felt the suction cups attach and involuntary spasms shifted through his new bovine body.
To Tracy's surprise, the feeling was not unpleasant. There was a satisfying release of pressure as the milking machine drew the milk steadily from his udders. He let out a low moo, the sweet taste of hay still fresh on his tongue.
Once the milking was finished, the farmer led the cows to the pasture. Tracy felt a primal urge to graze, lowering his head to rip up mouthfuls of grass. The warm sunshine on his back felt soothing, and soon he was lazily chewing cud with the rest of the herd.
As the days passed, Tracy adjusted to his new identity. The farmer was amazed by Bessie's milk production, oblivious to his special bovine's human origins. Tracy could hardly remember his past life now, his memories fading along with his old name. He lived without care or worry, content to be fed, milked, and allowed to sleep and graze in the fields.
The formula had imbued Tracy with the ideal genetics of a dairy cow. As Bessie, he put his udders to use, becoming the most productive milker on the farm. The magic potion had worked just as Tracy intended, though likely not in the way he had imagined. But Bessie was happy and the farmer was satisfied - the perfect outcome for both man and cow.
Blood of the forest:
Maria, Cody and Ronald were the best of friends. The three 20-somethings loved going on hikes together in the woods behind Maria's house. It was a sunny Saturday morning when the trio set out on their weekly hiking adventure.
As they walked along the shaded forest trail, chatting and joking around, a mosquito began buzzing around them. "Ugh, go away!" Cody yelled, swatting at the pesky insect. The mosquito didn't seem deterred as it continued to pester them, landing on each of their exposed arms and legs multiple times to try and suck their blood.
"Dang mosquitoes, I hate them!" Ronald said, smacking his leg as the mosquito bit him again.
"Me too, they're so annoying," Maria agreed.
Finally, Cody managed to smack the mosquito hard as it tried to bite his arm, killing it instantly. "Got it!" he exclaimed.
"Nice one," Ronald said. The three friends continued their hike, hoping there weren't more mosquitoes waiting to bother them.
What Maria, Cody and Ronald didn't realize was that this was no ordinary mosquito. It was carrying a rare condition that could be spread by its bite. Over the next few days, the three friends started experiencing strange changes.
For Maria, antlers began growing from her head. Her senses became incredibly sharp, she developed a taste for foraging, and she started having an urge to run through the forest. Her mind also began to change, wiping away all memories of being human as she mentally transformed into a female deer.
Cody began shrinking in size. His arms became mosquito-like legs, his nose became a long proboscis, and he developed a craving for blood. His mind also changed, erasing all his human thoughts and memories and replacing them with the instincts and behaviors of a mosquito.
Meanwhile, Ronald sprouted long bunny ears and his feet shifted into large furry rabbit's feet. He developed a twitchy nose, a fluffy cotton tail, and started feeling the urge to hop around and nibble on carrots. Like his friends, his mind transformed as well, eliminating his old identity and becoming that of a female rabbit.
Within a week of the fateful mosquito bite during their hike, Maria, Cody and Ronald had fully transformed both mentally and physically into a deer, mosquito, and rabbit. With no recollection of their human lives, the three creatures ventured off into the forest to live out the rest of their days as wild animals.
Maria the deer bounded gracefully through the woods, foraging for twigs, leaves and berries. She felt at peace frolicking in nature.
Cody the mosquito buzzed around seeking warm-blooded creatures to bite and feed on their blood. He was driven by instinct and his insatiable thirst.
Ronald the rabbit spent his time hopping through the underbrush, nibbling on carrots and lettuce from nearby gardens, and evading predators. He was carefree and enjoyed the simple life of a rabbit.
The three former friends were now fully immersed in the forest as the creatures they had transformed into. The mosquito bite had changed their bodies, minds and very identities. But they were content with their new lives. The woods were now their true home.
The Adventurers and the Witch:
Sir George the Brave, Lilly the Nature Elf Archer, Richard the Palladin, Mary the Healer, and John the Scout made their way through the dark forest towards the fortress of Morgan the Witch of Darkness. They were a brave group of adventurers on a quest to defeat the evil witch and restore peace to the land.
As they approached the imposing black fortress, Sir George turned to his companions, "My friends, our journey has led us here to this fateful battle. Though Morgan's dark power is great, if we work together, we can defeat her." The adventurers steeled their nerves and continued on.
Soon they stood before the large menacing doors of the witch's fortress. Sir George drew his sword and pushed the doors open. Inside they saw Morgan, an intimidating figure dressed in long black robes, waiting for them. "Foolish adventurers, you dare challenge my power?" she sneered.
Sir George brandished his sword, "Your evil ends here witch!" The adventurers charged into battle. Mary unleashed bolts of light magic, Richard swung his great hammer, Lilly fired arrows, and John ducked in and out of the shadows striking when he could. Sir George fought bravely, slashing at the witch again and again with his shining sword.
Despite their courage, Morgan's dark magic was too strong. With a blast of purple energy she knocked them all back. "Now you will suffer my wrath!" she cried. The adventurers struggled to their feet, worn and weakened from the fight. Morgan raised her arms and dark tentacles emerged from the ground, wrapping around each adventurer. They cried out in alarm as the tentacles began to squeeze tighter.
"You cannot stop my magic," Morgan gloated. The adventurers gasped for air as the tentacles constricted them. Morgan's eyes glowed with evil power as she uttered a dark incantation, weaving her sinister transformational spell. Sir George watched in horror as his companions were mutated by the witch's cruel magic.
Lilly the elf let out a pained scream as she transformed into an apple tree, her legs turning into roots that snaked into the stone floor while branches sprouted from her back. Richard writhed in agony, his plate armor melding into green scales as he mutated into a large female serpent.
"No!" cried Sir George as he began changing as well. Morgan cackled with glee as she turned the brave knight into a female dragon with gleaming purple scales and large folded wings. John whimpered as he transformed into a small female goblin, his armor becoming ragged clothes.
Finally, Morgan turned to Mary whose white magic had hurt her the most. "You shall be no more trouble to me," she sneered. With a final burst of mystical energy, she transformed Mary from a grown woman into a mewling infant wrapped in a blanket on the floor.
The witch admired her handiwork as the adventurers, now transformed into more suitable forms, struggled to comprehend their new identities. Sir George's armor clattered to the ground as she flapped her new wings in confusion. Lilly's branches shook with alarm as Richard slithered helplessly on the stone floor. John the goblin looked down at his tiny claws in disbelief while baby Mary wailed from the cold floor.
"There, that's much better," Morgan said with satisfaction. She picked up baby Mary and cradled her with sinister affection. "Now my pretty dragon will guard me, the elf will provide magic fruit, the snake will be my pet, the goblin will spy for me, and this child will grow to take my place one day."
The witch had not just changed their bodies but their minds as well, twisting their wills to serve her evil desires. Sir George bowed her scaly head dutifully while Lilly's apples glowed with enchantment. John jumped up eagerly to do his new mistress' bidding as Richard coiled nearby awaiting her command.
"Come my minions, we have much work to do," Morgan said triumphantly, carrying the baby destined to follow in her footsteps. Sir George the dragon, Lilly the apple tree, Richard the snake, John the goblin spy, and little Mary the future witch followed behind, their heroic quest ended in tragic defeat and transformation. The Witch of Darkness had won...for now.
The Bratty Gem:
Hannah sat at her desk, scrutinizing the strange red gem she had acquired. It was about the size of a large marble, flawlessly smooth and glinting faintly in the lamplight. She had heard rumors that it was imbued with magical properties, but as of yet, she had not discovered what they might be.
Carefully, she turned the gem over in her hands, holding it up to examine it from every angle. There were no markings or imperfections marring its glossy surface. She wondered where it had come from originally. An ancient tomb perhaps, or a faraway land shrouded in mystery.
Sighing, Hannah set the gem down and leaned back in her chair. She had been studying the thing for hours to no avail. Whatever magic it contained, if any, continued to elude her. She stretched her arms above her head, joints cracking. It was getting late, and she was no closer to unlocking the gem's secrets than when she had started.
Rising from her desk, she crossed the room to pour herself a cup of tea. As the water heated, Hannah's gaze drifted back to the gem where it lay nestled in a crumple of paper. She really ought to put it away for the night. Stifling a yawn, she shuffled back over and gingerly picked it up again.
The instant her fingers closed around the smooth stone, a sharp crack resounded through the room. Hannah gasped as the gem split down the middle in her hand. She fumbled with it, but only managed to knock the fractured pieces to the floor where they shattered completely.
"No!" Hannah cried, dropping to her knees. Brilliant red smoke billowed up from the broken shards, swirling around her in a sudden cloud. She coughed and waved her hands, trying to disperse it. What was happening?
As the smoke enveloped her, Hannah began to feel strange. Her body tingled all over, like pins and needles. She looked down at her hands - and let out a shocked shriek. They were smaller! The smoke was obscuring her view, but she could tell her hands were far too tiny to be her own.
Frantically, Hannah tried to stand, but her clothing hung off her now diminutive frame. The smoke was dissipating, but her surroundings seemed larger than they had been just moments before. With growing horror, Hannah realized she was shrinking.
In mere seconds, the transformation was complete. The smoke faded away, revealing a five year old girl standing amidst a pile of oversized clothing. Hannah's heart hammered against her tiny chest. What was happening? How could she be a child again?
As the panic subsided, however, Hannah felt a curious sense of detachment. She looked down at her small hands and stubby legs with a feeling of indifference. Her old life already seemed a distant memory, like a dream upon waking.
In its place rose a new consciousness - Hailey's. She tossed her golden curls and placed her hands on her hips. Everything about her old self was gone. Hailey had no interest in scholarly pursuits or magical artifacts. She was a spoiled little rich girl, and she wanted everyone to know it.
"Hmph!" she sniffed haughtily. "What are these ugly old clothes doing here? Where are my pretty dresses?"
Hailey glanced around the room that had been Hannah's, scrunching her nose at the books and papers scattered about. It would not do at all. She deserved only the finest things.
The child flounced out of the room in search of a mirror. She had to fix her hair into perfect ringlet curls. And then she would throw a tantrum until someone brought her all the dresses, sweets, and toys she desired. She was tired of this dreary place already.
"Daddy!" Hailey shrilled at the top of her lungs. "Come here right now! I want to go to the toy store!"
Yes, this new life suited her much better, Hailey thought. She would make sure she was showered with gifts and attention at all times. Everyone would cater to her every whim, for she was the most special little girl in all the world. And she fully intended to act like it.
The life of a Sea Turtle:
Harper sighed contentedly as she sat on the beach, watching the sun sink into the horizon. As a marine biologist who specialized in sea turtles, this was her favorite time of day. The mother turtles would soon be emerging from the ocean to lay their eggs in the sand.
For months now, Harper had been carefully monitoring and protecting the turtle nests. She wanted to ensure the hatchlings would have the best chance of survival once they hatched and made the treacherous journey from nest to ocean.
Harper had painstakingly constructed special wire cages to place over each nest. These would protect the eggs from predators and human interference. She dutifully maintained and checked on each cage daily.
Just a couple more months, Harper thought with excitement. She could hardly wait for the tiny hatchlings to begin emerging. Seeing them stumble down the beach into the waiting ocean was one of the greatest joys of her work.
The next morning, Harper awoke feeling odd. As she walked down the beach to check on the nests, she felt clumsy and off-balance. She nearly tripped several times in the sand. Perhaps she was just tired or coming down with something, she thought.
But over the next few days, the strange sensations increased. Harper's body felt foreign, and her mind became foggy. Checking on the turtle nests was difficult as her limbs felt heavy and awkward.
One morning, Harper was shocked to see hard, shell-like plates growing across her skin. She watched in horror as her fingers began melding together and her neck extended. Scaly olive-green skin replaced her soft peach complexion.
Somehow, impossibly, Harper was transforming into a sea turtle. She tried to cry out in fear, but all that emerged was a strange gurgling sound. Her human thoughts and emotions were slowly being replaced by primitive turtle instincts.
Harper's transformation completed within a few days. Where once a woman had stood was now an adult female green sea turtle. Compelled by forces she no longer understood, Harper lumbered down the beach to a cage-protected nest.
She began diligently digging, until the leathery white turtle eggs were uncovered. Gently scooping an egg into her flipper, Harper carried it closer to the ocean where she carefully re-buried it in the wet sand.
One by one, Harper moved the entire clutch, driven by an overpowering maternal turtle impulse to protect her babies. When the last egg was situated closer to the safety of the sea, Harper began the slow plod back down the beach.
But halfway down, the strange sensations returned, even stronger than before. Harper's turtle body began rapidly shrinking, regressing into that of a hatchling. Her thoughts faded further, leaving only basic instincts behind.
When the changes ceased, Harper was a tiny baby sea turtle, no bigger than a human palm. She crawled on tiny flippers back to the nest she had just relocated. Using her little beak, she began fervently digging into the sand until she uncovered an egg.
Wriggling into the depression left behind, Harper curled up her tiny body and waited. She knew this was where she belonged now. Soon, the eggs would hatch and she would join the other babies on their first trek to the ocean.
As the days passed, Harper grew inside her egg, comforted by the close press of other hatchling turtles surrounding her. She no longer remembered anything of her human life. The only drive that remained was to hatch safely with her clutchmates and make it to the sea.
Harper the human was gone. In her place was only a sea turtle hatchling, waiting for her new life to begin. She dozed contentedly, warm and protected. The ocean calls were growing stronger every day. Soon, it would be time. Soon, Harper and her clutchmates would awake as newborn turtles and take their first swim in the wide, wondrous sea.
The Prehistoric Island:
Oliver grinned at Cassie as their small plane glided through the clear blue skies. She smiled back, her blonde hair blowing in the wind. This had been Oliver's idea - rent a plane for the day and fly out over the ocean, taking in the endless expanse of water below them. Cassie had been hesitant at first, but now she was thrilled. Being up here with Oliver felt like pure freedom.
That freedom was shattered in an instant as the plane hit turbulence. Oliver's grin faded as he struggled with the controls. Dark clouds were swiftly rolling in, and the beautiful day had turned menacing. Rain pelted the windshield as the plane shook violently.
"Hang on!" Oliver yelled over the noise of the storm. Cassie clutched her seat, eyes wide with fear. With a sudden jolt, the engine cut out. They were going down. Oliver desperately tried restarting the plane, but it was no use.
The last thing Cassie remembered was the scream of twisted metal as they plummeted towards the raging ocean. Then everything went black.
When she came to, Cassie was half-submerged in water. She sat up with a gasp, wincing at the pain in her head. Debris from the plane floated around her. "Oliver?" she called out in panic. To her immense relief, she heard him groan behind her. Oliver was tangled in his seatbelt but alive.
They swam towards each other through the wreckage, embracing tightly. "Are you okay?" Oliver asked worriedly. Cassie nodded. "I think so. What about you?"
"I'll live," he said with a pained smile. They turned and saw in the distance an island surrounded by cliffs. Finding the energy to swim, they made their way onto the beach and collapsed in exhaustion.
When Cassie opened her eyes again, the first thing she noticed was the eerie quiet. No gulls cried overhead. The island appeared devoid of life. Unease prickled her skin as she shook Oliver awake. "We need to find food and shelter," she said.
They ventured cautiously into the dense jungle. Huge ferns and tropical plants unlike any Cassie had seen before loomed over them. The further they went, the stronger the feeling grew that they were being watched.
A thunderous roar shattered the silence. Cassie and Oliver froze, eyes wide. The trees shook as something massive moved towards them. "Run!" Oliver yelled. They took off just as an enormous creature with scaly skin and jagged teeth came crashing through the undergrowth.
"Was that a dinosaur?!" Cassie shouted in disbelief as they ran. The monster pursued them, its thunderous footsteps growing closer. They didn't dare look back.
Just when Cassie's lungs were about to burst, they spotted a cave and scrambled inside. The dinosaur roared in frustration outside but eventually retreated. Cassie and Oliver collapsed to the cave floor, breathing hard.
"This island...it's like something out of Jurassic Park," Oliver said between gasped breaths. "But that's impossible...right?"
Before Cassie could respond, she noticed symbols painted on the cave walls. They depicted primitive humans hunting extinct animals. "I don't understand," she murmured.
Determined to get answers, Cassie and Oliver cautiously left the cave. They continued towards the island's center, hiding whenever prehistoric creatures passed by. The further they went, the more species they encountered that should have been extinct. It was as if they'd gone back in time.
Finally, they reached the heart of the island. An enormous crater lay before them, a pulsing orb of light at its center. Translucent gems studded its surface, emitting an otherworldly glow.
"It must be some kind of meteor," Oliver whispered. As they stared at it, a strange energy passed over them, making their hair stand on end. Cassie's head swam. "I feel...strange," she muttered.
Panic flashed across Oliver's face as he looked at her. "Cassie..." he choked out. She gazed at her reflection in a pool of water and recoiled. Her facial features had become more pronounced and apelike. Dark, shaggy hair covered her face and arms.
Oliver was undergoing the same primal transformation. They stared at each other in dazed horror. The meteor was somehow devolving them back into a primitive state.
Cassie grasped futilely for memories that were already fading away. Language and reason slipped from her mind, leaving only animal instinct behind. The last remnants of the civilized humans they had been disappeared, erased by the ancient power of the island.
Two neanderthals emerged.
The small protector:
Fred whistled a tune as he hiked through the woods. The morning sun peeked through the canopy, dappling the trail ahead. He took a deep breath, savoring the crisp air and earthy scent of the forest.
Up ahead, a glint of light caught his eye. He paused, squinting through the underbrush. There, nestled among the leaves and ferns, lay a strange gemstone. It was perfectly round and smooth, with an iridescent sheen. Fred approached cautiously and bent down to get a closer look. As he reached out to touch it, the gem began to glow.
Suddenly, the gem flew up and attached itself to Fred's neck, transforming into a necklace. He stumbled back in shock as a warm tingling sensation spread throughout his body. The gem pulsed with light, enveloping him in a soft glow.
Before his eyes, Fred's burly frame shrank down to a petite size. His beard and body hair vanished, leaving smooth skin in its place. His rugged features softened into a delicate face framed by flowing locks of hair.
As the glow faded, Fred found himself completely transformed into a dainty female fairy. His clothes had changed into an organic looking dress made of leaves and petals. Iridescent wings sprouted from his back, buzzing lightly as he adjusted to his new form.
Fred's mind flooded with new knowledge about his identity and purpose. He was no longer Fred, but Franny, a nature fairy tasked with protecting the forest and all its inhabitants. Memories of his past life faded away, replaced by an innate connection to the natural world.
Franny smiled, reveling in the feeling of the sun and wind against her skin. With a flap of her wings, she took to the air. She flew gracefully among the trees, greeting the birds and squirrels like old friends.
As a nature fairy, Franny possessed magical abilities. With a wave of her hand, she could make flowers bloom or manipulate the growth of trees and vines. She used these powers to care for the forest, ensuring the plants and animals remained healthy and thriving.
When predators like coyotes or foxes threatened the safety of others, Franny employed her transformative powers. With a sprinkle of glittering dust or glow of her gemstone necklace, she could morph them into gentle creatures like deer or rabbits. Their aggressive natures dissolved away, leaving peaceful spirits in tune with the forest.
Franny's most important duty was protecting nature from the destructive influence of humans. On the outskirts of the woods, houses and roads encroached on the forest. The noises and pollution disturbed the tranquility of the wild places.
When careless campers left trash or failed to properly extinguish their fires, Franny was there. A touch of her magic cleared away the refuse or snuffed out dangerous embers. A stern look or flash of her wings was usually enough to chastise the offenders.
For those who committed more serious offenses, like poaching animals or illegally removing plants, Franny took a more direct approach. With a blast of magic, she transformed merciless hunters into the very creatures they sought to kill. The shock of becoming the hunted instead of the hunter quickly taught them the error of their ways.
As word of the mysterious fairy spread, people began to treat the forest with respect and awe. Franny's presence ushered in a new era of appreciation and stewardship for the natural world.
Under the fairy's protection, the woods thrived as never before. The trees grew tall and strong. Wildlife of all kinds flourished. Nature's peace and beauty radiated through the whole forest.
In her new life as a guardian fairy, Franny felt happier than ever before. She tended her domain with joy and purpose in her heart. Though Fred was gone, his spirit lived on in Franny as she carried out her vital duty - preserving the sanctity of the natural world for all living things. The forest was her home now, and she embraced her role as its magical protector.
The Spider bite:
Josh hummed to himself as he unlocked the side door to his sister's garage. She and her family were away on a two-week vacation, and he had volunteered to house-sit while they were gone. Part of his duties included tidying up the cluttered garage space.
He flipped on the lights and surveyed the dusty room. Cardboard boxes were stacked haphazardly along the walls. Garden tools and kids' toys lay strewn across the concrete floor. Cobwebs stretched across the corners and rafters.
"Let's get to work," Josh muttered.
He found a broom and began sweeping away the dust and dirt. As he disturbed one corner, a large black spider scurried out from a crack in the wall. Josh frowned and leaned the broom against a shelf. He spotted a can of bug spray and grabbed it.
"Sorry, buddy, but I can't have you creeping around while I'm working," he said as he took aim at the spider. He depressed the nozzle and a stream of poison shot out.
The spider attempted to flee across the floor, but the chemicals hit their mark. The arachnid twitched and curled up on itself as the toxins took effect.
Josh tossed the empty can aside and resumed sweeping. A short while later, he paused to wipe sweat from his brow. The garage was already looking much cleaner. He decided he deserved a break.
As he turned to head inside for a cold drink, a sharp pain erupted on his ankle. "Ow!" he cried out and looked down to see the dying spider had managed to crawl over and take one last bite.
"Dang it," Josh growled, shaking his leg to dislodge the insect. A weird tingling sensation was spreading from the bite marks upward. He hoped he wasn't having an allergic reaction.
Over the next few minutes, the tingling intensified into a burning itch. Josh scratched frantically at his legs. His skin felt like it was boiling. He stumbled into the house and drew a bath, hoping to soak away the discomfort.
Instead of relief, the pain increased. Josh thrashed in the tub as every inch of his body seared with agony. He cried out in fear and confusion. What was happening to him?
When the torture finally eased, Josh lay gasping. He gingerly sat up, sloshing water over the side of the tub. As he raised his hands to push back his wet hair, he froze. His fingers—only they weren't fingers anymore. Instead, eight long, spindly appendages extended from his palms.
Josh blinked mutely at the spider-like limbs. He twisted to view his feet and saw they had also elongated and split into multiple jointed segments.
"This can't be real," he whispered in horror. But deep down, he knew it was. That spider's bite had somehow mutated him. Even now, he could feel his arms and legs atrophying as they continued transforming.
Josh awkwardly climbed from the tub on his changing limbs. He caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror and yelped. His face was a freakish hybrid of human and arachnid features. Multiple eyes sprouted across his temples. Furry pedipalps flanked his mouth.
He could only watch in revulsion as bristly hairs erupted all over his warped body. His abdomen swelled to grotesque proportions. A paralysis overtook his distorted form, and he collapsed helpless to the floor.
The horrific metamorphosis lasted another hour. When it was complete, all traces of Josh's humanity were erased. His conscious mind faded away, overtaken by primordial spider instincts.
The creature righted itself on its eight legs. It skittered across the bathroom tiles and squeezed through a narrow vent. The cool, dark garage welcomed it. This would be a suitable nesting ground.
The spider chose a shadowy corner and began spinning a large, delicate web. When satisfied with its handiwork, it curled up in the center to await prey. Days passed as it sat motionless.
Finally, the vibrations of an approaching insect stirred the spider from its resting state. It rushed out to subdue the meal. The creature never knew this building had once been a familiar place, that it had ever been anything more than what it was now—a simple female spider focused only on survival.
Never cheat on a Witchy Girlfriend:
Suzie unlocked the front door of the small suburban house she shared with her boyfriend Mark. She was exhausted after a long day of witch training but was looking forward to spending a quiet evening at home with Mark.
As she stepped inside, Suzie was surprised to find the lights off and the house unusually quiet and still. "Mark?" she called out, flipping on the lights in the entryway. No response.
Suzie made her way towards the bedroom, figuring Mark must have fallen asleep. As she approached, she heard a muffled giggle followed by hushing sounds. Her heartbeat quickened as she reached for the doorknob. Swinging open the door, the sight before Suzie made her gasp in shock.
There was Mark, tangled up in the sheets with their next door neighbor Jackie. At the sound of the door opening, they scrambled to cover themselves. "Suzie!" Mark exclaimed, his face flushed with embarrassment at being caught. "This...this isn't what it looks like."
Jackie avoided making eye contact, staring intently at the floor. Suzie could feel her blood boiling, her hands clenching into fists at her sides. "Really? Because it looks like you're cheating on me with the neighbor in our bed," she spat out angrily.
Mark stammered, trying to form a response. Jackie mumbled "I should go" and hastily gathered her clothes. As she scurried out of the room, Suzie shot her a piercing glare. She waited until Jackie had fled from the house before turning her fury back on Mark.
"How could you do this to me? And with her of all people?" Suzie shouted, tears stinging her eyes. Mark reached for her hand but she recoiled.
"I'm so sorry Suze. It was a stupid mistake. It didn't mean anything, I swear," Mark pleaded. But his excuses only further infuriated Suzie.
"Just stop. I don't want to hear it," she said coldly. Suzie took a deep breath, trying to restrain the magical energy coursing through her. In her anger, her emerging witch powers begged to be released.
Mark continued rambling apologies and explanations. "We can work through this. It was one time, a moment of weakness. Please..."
His voice trailed off as Suzie raised her hand towards him. Her eyes flashed as she summoned her powers. "You want to be with Jackie so badly? Fine, but things are about to change," she hissed. Strange words in an ancient magical tongue spilled from her lips.
Mark's eyes went wide with fear. His body began to convulse and contort, bones and muscles reshaping themselves. He cried out in pain and shock as glossy fur sprouted all over his skin. His face stretched into a long snout. Within moments, Mark had transformed into a female rabbit, small and trembling.
Suzie scooped up the rabbit in one hand. "There, now you really are a cute little bunny. Enjoy your new life." She carried the rabbit to the back door and tossed it outside into the yard.
Turning her attention next to Jackie, Suzie muttered another mystical incantation. She sensed it working immediately, even from a distance. Jackie, who was just returning home, suddenly dropped to all fours as her body morphed. Whiskers sprouted from her nose and cheeks and a hairless tail grew in. Jackie's screams turned into squeaks as she shrank down into a rat.
The rat's instincts took over and it scurried away in terror. Suzie watched it disappear into the sewer drain down the street. She took a few deep breaths to clear the leftover magical charge in the air. As angry as she still was at Mark's betrayal, a part of Suzie hoped she hadn't overreacted too severely. But the spells could only be reversed once the affected truly learned their lesson.
Suzie decided she would stay with her aunt, a fellow witch, for a while. Time away to heal and continue developing her craft was just what she needed. Perhaps she would come home to find a wiser and more loyal boyfriend. Or perhaps she would realize she was better off without Mark. Only time would tell. For now, Suzie was simply eager to immerse herself in her studies and not think about the events of this disastrous day. She packed a bag and set off, ready to start the next chapter of her witch training.
Respawn:
Ted pulled up to the old abandoned house on Oak Street. He had heard rumors that the place was haunted ever since the previous owner, a young woman named Molly, had been murdered there years ago by her boyfriend in a fit of rage. Ted didn't believe in ghosts, but he was fascinated by the macabre stories surrounding the property. He decided he would explore the house himself to see if there was any truth to the tales.
As Ted walked up to the creaky front door, a cold breeze whistled through the air, making him shiver. He hesitated for a moment, then turned the rusty doorknob and stepped inside. The house was dark and dusty, with peeling wallpaper and cobwebs in every corner. Ted's footsteps echoed on the hardwood floors as he wandered through the first floor, peeking into the kitchen and living room. He saw no signs of hauntings or anything paranormal.
Ted made his way carefully up the crooked staircase to the second floor. The hinges whined as he pushed open the door to what must have been the master bedroom. Shafts of moonlight spilled through the broken window, illuminating a canopy bed with torn curtains. This must have been where Molly was killed, Ted thought with morbid curiosity. He sat down on the edge of the mattress, half-expecting a ghost to appear, but nothing happened.
Disappointed, Ted stood up to leave. Just then, a faint voice seemed to whisper "Perfect" from somewhere behind him. He whipped around, but no one was there. His skin prickled. Had he just imagined it? Shaking off the unease, Ted started walking toward the bedroom door when he felt something shift under his foot. Looking down, he realized he had stepped onto an intricate symbol carved into the wooden floor, partially hidden by the frayed rug. It seemed to glow with an eerie blue light.
Suddenly, a glowing blue orb materialized in front of Ted's face. He stumbled backward with a yelp, tripping over the rug and falling hard onto his backside. The orb pulsated and flew circles around him. Ted's eyes went wide with disbelief and his heart pounded. What was happening?
Before he could react, the orb shot directly into his chest. A freezing sensation overtook his body and a ghostly, feminine figure materialized in front of him - it was Molly. Ted opened his mouth to scream but no sound came out. Molly gave him a sly smile as she floated toward him. Ted felt his limbs go numb and heavy, paralyzed in place.
Molly's ghostly form passed through Ted's body and his vision went white. Every nerve felt like it was on fire - he could feel his bones and muscles contorting, reforming. When his sight returned, Ted looked down to see he now had a woman's body, curvy and petite. Ted clutched at his throat as his voice became higher in pitch, feminine.
In the dusty mirror on the wall, Ted saw his facial features morphing, long hair sprouting from his scalp. His mind grew foggy and he could feel Molly's consciousness mingling with his own. Their spirits were fusing together against Ted's will, erasing who he used to be.
Soon there was nothing left of Ted at all. Molly's ghost had completely overtaken his earthly form. Where Ted once stood was now an entirely new person, neither male nor female, with no memory of her former self. She looked down at her new body in the mirror and let out a satisfied sigh.
"Perfect," she said to herself in a sultry voice. She spotted some old clothes in the closet and quickly changed into them. As she stood in the doorway of the abandoned house where poor Ted had met his paranormal fate, the mysterious woman knew it was time to begin her new life. She stepped outside into the moonlit night, leaving Ted and Molly behind forever.
A fan who took it too far:
Hank had always been obsessed with the Five Nights at Freddy's video games. Ever since playing the first installment years ago, he was hooked. He loved everything about the creepy animatronic characters - Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy - all of them. Hank dreamed of one day being able to experience Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in real life.
He decided if he couldn't visit a real Freddy's location, he would just have to build one himself. Hank recruited his closest friends - Franky, Ben, Cassie, George, and Flavio - to help him construct his vision. After months of hard work transforming an old warehouse space, they had built an incredibly authentic Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurant.
The main stage housed large animatronic figures of Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica. Foxy's pirate cove was hidden behind a purple curtain in the corner. And a spare Golden Freddy suit sat slumped in a chair in the kitchen. Hank and his friends stood back and admired their handiwork, thrilled with how accurate all the details were to the games.
"This is so awesome!" Hank exclaimed. "But it's still missing one thing..."
He turned to his friends with an unsettling grin. "It needs REAL animatronics. And I know just how we can make some."
The group looked uneasy, exchanging nervous glances. But they trusted their friend Hank, despite his odd obsession.
"Here's what we'll do," Hank explained calmly. "Franky - you stand on the stage where Freddy goes. Ben - you'll be Bonnie. Cassie - take Chica's spot. George - sit in the kitchen as Golden Freddy. And Flavio - you be Foxy in the cove."
His friends reluctantly agreed and took their positions. As they stood frozen in place, Hank began to chant strange words under his breath. He closed his eyes, focusing intently while making mystical hand gestures.
Suddenly, his friends' bodies began contorting and shifting against their will. They cried out in shock and fear as the dark magic spell took hold. Franky's form molded into the shape of Freddy Fazbear. Ben's slim figure grew tall and bulky like Bonnie. Cassie's long blonde hair shortened as her jaw extended into a duck-like beak.
Within moments, all five friends had been completely transformed - body and mind - into animatronic versions of the Five Nights at Freddy's characters. Their human consciousness had been totally erased.
Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Golden Freddy, and Foxy stood motionless on the stage and in their proper places around the pizzeria. Hank let out an ecstatic laugh. His real-life animatronics and Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurant were now complete!
In the weeks that followed, excited kids and parents flocked to the new Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The animatronic mascots performed songs and skits on stage to the delight of the children. No one suspected that the life-like robots had once been Hank's closest friends.
At night, after closing, Hank loved spending time with his creations. He would have long talks with Freddy and Foxy as if they were still sentient beings. The empty animatronics simply stared ahead blankly, appearing to listen.
One evening, Hank was sitting in Pirate Cove chatting with Foxy. But unbeknownst to him, the dark magic he had used was beginning to wear off. Foxy's animatronic eyes suddenly seemed to grow more alert and aware.
The robotic pirate twitched slightly, then slowly turned his head to face Hank. In Flavio's voice, Foxy spoke: "What...what have you done to us?"
Hank leapt back, stunned and afraid. The spell was breaking! He needed to act quickly to keep control.
Pulling out the magic spell book, Hank quickly shouted the words to reinforce the animatronics' programming. Foxy's eyes returned to their vacant stare as the magic took over once again.
But Hank knew it was only a temporary fix. He grew paranoid that his friends' memories could return fully someday. So he hid the book away, hoping to conceal the truth of what he had done.
For now, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza continued operating smoothly, with parents and children none the wiser. But inside the animatronic shells, fragments of memories were beginning to surface. The robots' human souls were struggling to break free. It would only be a matter of time before Hank's evil secret was revealed, and there would be hell to pay
The Buggy Prom:
Mary Anne took a deep breath as she looked in the mirror. Her hands trembled slightly as she put the final touches on her makeup. She had dreamt of this night for years - prom night. But unlike all the other girls, Mary Anne didn't have visions of dancing the night away with a handsome date. For her, tonight would be about revenge.
She smoothed down her blue satin dress, the one she and her Aunt Sarah had picked out last weekend. The color matched her eyes perfectly. Not that anyone at school ever noticed her eyes, or any other part of her. To them she was invisible - except when they needed someone to bully and torment.
Mary Anne sighed, pushing down the anger rising inside her. She had endured years of cruelty from her classmates. The names, the taunting, the pranks - all of it designed to make her feel small and worthless. Well not anymore.
She opened her closet door and pulled out the old book hidden way in back - Great Aunt Sarah's Book of Shadows. Her aunt had taught her some spells before she passed away. Now Mary Anne was going to put those lessons to use.
She arrived at the prom, Clutching the book in her hands. No one paid any attention as she slipped inside. She found a chair in a dark corner and sat down, watching as her classmates laughed and danced. They all looked so happy - it was almost a shame what she had planned. Almost.
Finally it was time to announce the prom king and queen. Mary Anne whispered a few strange words and gestured subtly with her left hand. When Rickey's name was called for prom king, no one was surprised. He was captain of the football team after all. But when they announced Mary Anne's name for queen, the room filled with shocked whispers.
Rickey strutted over and grabbed her hand. "Let's get this over with," he sneered under his breath as they walked onto the stage. Mary Anne just smiled. The spell had worked.
She accepted the plastic tiara and bouquet of flowers as Rickey had his crown placed on his head. They lined up for the customary king and queen dance. The music started and Rickey awkwardly put his hands on Mary Anne's waist. She made eye contact and he grew still, suddenly unable to look away.
"Now," she whispered, as her eyes started to glow an unearthly purple.
Rickey's confident smile faltered. "Wh-what's happening?" He looked down to see his letterman jacket melting into green slime. His whole body was transforming right before her eyes.
"Please..." he whimpered in a slowly softening voice. "Make it stop..." But it was too late. Where Rickey once stood there was now a giant snail, sliming its way across the stage.
Chaos erupted in the gym as one by one, the other teens suffered the same fate. The quarterback morphed into a beetle. The head cheerleader sprouted antennae and wings. Even the teachers shrank and shifted, their human forms disappearing.
The screams and cries for help faded into chirps and buzzes as minds became simple and insect-like. Soon the dance floor was filled with creatures skittering and flying about aimlessly.
Mary Anne closed her eyes and took a long, satisfying breath. She had dreamt of this moment for so long. Now her tormenters were the powerless ones.
She tucked the spellbook securely under her arm and walked out of the gym. The cool night breeze whispered through the trees, carrying the faint sounds of the insect prom behind her. A small smile played at the corners of her mouth.
Finally, she was free. Mary Anne got in her car and drove off into the darkness, leaving her old life behind. Tomorrow she would be far away, ready to start fresh. But for tonight, she allowed herself a moment of celebration, laughing aloud in joyful relief as the lights of the school faded into the distance.
Nothing but Bots:
Pete had always been fascinated by animatronics. As a child, he would spend hours staring in wonder at the animatronic characters at Disneyland, carefully studying their intricate movements and lifelike expressions. In his teens, he got a part-time job at Chuck E. Cheese just so he could tinker with the singing robotic animals after hours. Even as an adult, Pete devoted all his free time to learning everything he could about the technology behind animatronics.
He dreamed of building his own animatronic creations, but the costs were prohibitively expensive. The complex mechanisms, specially-formulated skins, and customized control systems added up quickly. Instead, Pete contented himself with collecting animatronic parts from closing amusement parks and studying schematics online.
One day, Pete had a breakthrough. If he could find a way to transform ordinary people into animatronics, he wouldn't need to buy expensive materials and electronics. He could create his own animatronic "cast" just with a little technological enhancement.
Pete got to work converting his basement into a workshop. He pulled together odds and ends from around the house, welding together a large upright chamber big enough to accommodate a person. After weeks of meticulous designing and programming, his "animatronizer" was complete.
Eager to test his invention, Pete invited six friends over to his house - Luke, Jerry, Oliver, Kelly, Megan, and Betty. He led them all down to the basement under the pretense of checking out his new home theater system. But when they arrived, he ushered them into the animatronizer chamber and locked the door before anyone could react.
Ignoring their panicked shouts, Pete powered up the machine and inserted a strange glowing gemstone into the control panel. The gemstone - acquired from a questionable website - was supposedly imbued with transformative magic. As the machine hummed to life, arcs of electricity danced across its surface.
Pete's friends screamed and pounded on the door as the chamber filled with eerie light. But within moments, their voices cut out, replaced by the clicking of motors and pneumatics. their movements slowed, becoming jittery and mechanical. Their eyes went blank, their skin plastic and artificial.
When the process finished, the chamber door swung open with a hydraulic hiss. Six animatronic people stepped out, their faces expressionless. Pete grinned - his machine had worked! Their human consciousness was wiped clean, new identities ready to be programmed in.
Pete got right to work dressing his new animatronics in themed costumes and working out routines. Their designation numbers would be replaced with themed names - Sir Pounce the knight, Sally the pirate, Mr. Giggles the clown. He could picture an entire animatronic cast for his own theme park or pizza place.
As he polished and customized each of his new robotic actors, Pete daydreamed about the potential. If he could miniaturize the process, he might be able to sell his animatronizing gemstones. Amusement parks and family entertainment centers would pay top dollar for instant access to customizable animatronic workers. He could make a fortune - the entertainment industry would never have to build or maintain robotic performers again! Pete laughed, reveling in his success. Finally, his lifelong animatronic dreams could become a reality.
That’s Banana’s:
Marcus laughed as he watched the chimpanzee at the zoo. "Look at that dumb monkey!" he jeered. "Swinging around like an idiot." He took a big bite of his frozen chocolate covered banana as he continued to make faces at the chimp.
A few minutes later, Marcus began to feel strange. His body started tingling all over. "What's happening?" he wondered. Looking down, he saw hair sprouting all over his body. His fingers shortened into stubs and his toes grew long and grasped. Marcus tried to cry out in shock but all that came out was a screeching chimpanzee call.
Frightened, Marcus ran to a bathroom mirror. Staring back at him was the face of a female chimpanzee. He watched in horror as his nose flattened and his ears grew. Coarse dark hair covered his changing body. Marcus felt his mind clouding as his human thoughts faded away. In their place came simple chimp desires to eat, play and groom.
Soon a zookeeper discovered the chimpanzee in the bathroom. "Where did you come from little lady?" he asked. Marcus no longer recognized his name or understood human speech. He only knew how to act like a chimp. The zookeeper led him back to the chimpanzee habitat where the other chimps greeted him. To them, he was just another female to groom and play with.
The zookeeper figured the chimp must have accidentally gotten loose from the habitat. Not realizing this was actually a human boy transformed. Marcus was given a new name, Maria, and became part of the troop. Days passed as he ate, slept and socialized with the other chimps. Any remnants of his old self vanished, leaving behind a content female chimpanzee.
As time went on, Marcus completely took to his new chimpanzee life. The simple pleasures of food, rest and play were all he needed. He had forgotten what it meant to be human. Mornings were spent foraging for fruits and vegetables, afternoons playing and wrestling. At night, he would build a nest to sleep in with the others.
One day, a familiar face appeared at the zoo. It was Marcus's old friend James. "Hey Marcus! Where are you?" James called out, not realizing his friend was now one of the chimpanzees. He stared in confusion at the troop of chimps, wondering where his friend was. Marcus swung over and looked at James curiously but no recognition crossed his chimpanzee mind.
James asked the zookeeper, "Have you seen my friend Marcus? He was here yesterday but now I can't find him." The zookeeper replied, "Sorry, no visitors named Marcus have been here recently." Puzzled, James took one last look at the chimps before leaving the zoo.
Marcus continued his carefree life, with no memory or thought of his past human self. The chocolate banana had served its purpose, transforming the once cruel boy into a harmless chimpanzee. He was now living the simple, happy existence he had once mocked. A fitting punishment for making fun of an animal. Marcus was gone forever but in his place was content chimp Maria, enjoying her new home at the zoo.
The Injection Mix up:
Lucas and Megan were exhausted. They had been hiking all day in the woods and were ready to set up camp for the night. As they searched for a clearing to pitch their tent, Lucas felt a sharp prick on his neck. He slapped his hand to his neck and felt a small dart. Before he could react, his legs gave out and he collapsed to the ground.
"Lucas!" Megan cried out, rushing over to him. But before she could reach him, she too felt a sharp pain in her neck. The world started spinning and within seconds, everything went black.
When Lucas came to, he was disoriented. It was dark and he was lying on a cold, hard surface. As his eyes adjusted, he realized he was in some kind of cave. He tried to sit up but his hands and feet were bound.
"Lucas? Are you awake?" came Megan's frightened voice.
Lucas looked over and saw Megan lying next to him, also bound at the hands and feet. "Yeah, I'm awake. Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, just shaken up. Where are we? What happened?"
Before Lucas could reply, a menacing voice echoed through the cave. "Well, well. Look who's finally awake."
A large, burly man walked towards them, carrying two syringes filled with a glowing blue liquid. Lucas and Megan recoiled in fear.
"What do you want from us?" Lucas demanded, trying to sound braver than he felt.
The man let out a sinister chuckle. "I want to conduct a little experiment." He held up the syringes. "This serum will unlock your deepest animal instincts. Once injected, the transformation will be slow but irreversible. Your human minds will cease to exist."
Lucas and Megan screamed protests as the man grabbed Lucas's arm and injected the serum. Lucas cried out in pain as the glowing substance entered his bloodstream.
The man then turned to Megan and injected her as well. "Sweet dreams," he laughed as he walked away. Lucas and Megan were left alone, terrified of what was to come.
Over the next few days, Lucas and Megan remained captive in the cave. They took turns desperately trying to wriggle free of their restraints, but it was useless. All the while, the serum continued to take effect.
Lucas was the first to start changing. Antlers began growing from his head, small at first but rapidly expanding. His eyes grew wider and more prominent, his nose and mouth elongating into a snout. Fine white spots started speckling his skin as his body took on the markings of a young buck.
Meanwhile, Megan watched in dismay as her own transformation began. Her hips widened, and her chest and torso narrowed. Delicate fur grew in, and her eyes became large and doe-like. Small bumps formed on her head where antlers would normally grow on a buck.
The physical changes were strange enough. But as the days passed, their minds began altering as well. Lucas started having instincts and urges he didn't understand. He wanted to rub his antlers on trees and mark his territory. He felt a growing need to roam and forage.
Megan underwent similar mental shifts. She developed a skittish yet maternal disposition. Her thoughts grew simpler, revolving around eating, sleeping, and avoiding danger. She lacked Lucas's urge to wander but felt a nesting instinct take over.
Within a week of being injected, the transformations were complete. Where Lucas and Megan had been now stood a fully grown buck and doe. Their minds were gone, completely overtaken by animal nature. When the man finally came to release them, they bolted for the woods on four legs, lacking any recollection of their human lives.
The man watched them go with satisfaction. His experiment had worked perfectly. Little did he know, he had made one crucial mistake. The vials containing the serum had been mislabeled. Lucas had received the doe serum and Megan had gotten the buck. But it was too late to reverse it now. The happy young couple was gone for good, transformed into wild animals by forces beyond their control. They would roam the woods together, destined to live out their lives as a buck and doe, unaware that their fates had been tragically switched.
