Took me a while to figure out a good concept for this prompt, but in the end, I was inspired by this half-remembered DiD story I read probably over a decade ago, featuring a beautiful college student who winds up being targeted by criminals after she encounters a dying man on the beach who slips her an important tape. I know there was an entire series involving these characters somewhere online, with plenty of perils, cults, escape attempts and one of the supporting characters becoming the "Fire Maiden", but for the life of me, I can't remember what it's called. Seriously, if anyone out there knows the title and where I can find this story again, I'd appreciate it, it's really starting to bug me now. Still, I hope you all enjoy this one.
