Most of the villains featured in the Spire Guardians stories have been much darker characters, definitely nasty pieces of work, particularly Aphrodite. So for this story, I wanted to introduce a bit more of a lighthearted villain to provide some contrast, not to mention indulge in my persistent fondness for deathtraps. And yes, <i>Kim Possible</i> fans, I was definitely inspired by&nbsp;Se&#241;or Senior, Sr and his card-carrying, cliche-embracing approach to supervillainy; sometimes it's nice just to have an outright, uncomplicated bad guy to pit our heroes against.
