WARNING! INCOMING RANT DETECTED!

I hate, hate, hate the redesigned Shriek model, particularly as its appeared in the various concept art pieces over the years. Yes, I know that the Shrieks in Origins were basically just reskinned werewolf models, but there was still something primal and terrifying to them, almost like a Xenomorph from the Alien franchise. You got the sense they were this highly-evolved apex predator, perfectly capable of tracking you down and ripping you apart, a feeling made all the more grounded by their ambush tactics and sheer mage-shredding levels of DPS in gameplay. The Shrieks now, as seen in the "Descent" DLC for Inquisition? It looks like the C-list supervillain Razor Fist in a lousy Pyramid Head cosplay. So yes, I've been sticking with classic Origins designs for most of the monsters in this story, Shrieks included, and will almost certainly do so for the future.

And Nimue finally makes an appearance! A fair number of you actually called this in previous installments, and you'll really get to know both her and her fellow prisoner better in the next chapter (which will not take as long as this one did to write, I promise you). As for what will become of them and what they bring to the table, read on and see :) . Hope you all enjoyed this installment, and thank you once again for your continued support and patience!
