Finally, Zevran comes!... onto the scene <img src="https://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/smile.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/> <br /><br />I know you've all been waiting patiently for this chapter and his arrival, and I hope this did not disappoint. Originally, this chapter was to be a bit longer; I had planned a scene involving Howe that I've been putting off for the past little while, but ultimately, the Zevran stuff worked well enough that it could stand alone. I've also been battling some computer issues lately, my machine's starting to show its age and break down, so I wanted to get this all to you as soon as possible before tech issues made it impossible. Been meaning to invest in some computer upgrades anyway, so I'll probably end up buying a new gaming desktop in the end, I certainly got a lot of use out of this one!<br /><br />All things considered, this chapter came together fairly well. Indeed, I wrote up the back half pretty much in the space of an evening, so that was pretty cool. The decision to spare Zevran is a bit hard to justify in an in-universe sense; we as players know that he's a possible companion and a very well-written character, but the characters themselves have no knowledge of his virtues, so I tried to explain here why someone so committed to the protection and well-being of his companions as Sagramor would let someone who tried to kill them join (let me know if I did a good job or not). Also been trying to watch my adverb usage, as per your constructive criticism, though that'll likely be a work-in-progress for a while.<br /><br />Next chapter, back to Redcliffe, and finally, Morrigan returns to the scene! Should&nbsp;I end up having to buy a new computer, I'll try and let you know in a journal post so I don't just vanish into thin air, tech permitting.
