As promised, I said I'd post some photos I took during my transcontinental train ride to Vancouver and vacation there, so I figured I'd start with this one, featuring the train station at Jasper National Park in Alberta. The train had a whole bunch of stops along the way, including a fairly significant lay-over in Winnipeg, but for me, the highlight of the trip was definitely the Rockies. If you ever get the chance to travel across Canada by train, do so: the sights of the Rockies alone are well worth the ticket price. We only stayed for about an hour in Jasper, but it was a nice little stop nonetheless; I'd certainly love to visit there for a more extended period of time.
