“Don’t be such a brat, Sarah. If you’d just show good posture for once, none of these measures would be necessary.”
Her daughter’s only response was a hate-filled glare and a curse left muffled by the gag, and Agnes Mornington sighed in resignation, despairing that it had come to this. What had she done to deserve such an ill-disciplined, disobedient and willful daughter? In the raising of her child, she’d followed the advice of the great Dr. McLaw to the letter, as she did in all things-- provided a good example, encouraged discipline, set limits. Yet after twenty years, none of it seemed to stick, for Sarah was ever stubborn and proud, more concerned with sticking her head in her books than finding a good husband. For a single, terrible moment, she was struck by the fear that her beautiful darling daughter would be relegated to life as a spinster, her good looks and better breeding made irrelevant by her unladylike nature and bad posture, the mere thought of such a horrid fate banishing any shred of doubt about her current course. She possessed every book Dr. McLaw had ever written, and religiously watched his daytime talk show, and he had advice to spare on how to correct the behaviour of an unruly child.
So when Sarah returned home from university, foolishly posturing about renting an apartment for herself closer to campus, her loving mother was there to offer a cup of tea with an extra ingredient slipped into the brew. And when the pretty blonde awoke, she found herself bound to a high-backed chair Agnes had specially ordered. A series of leather belts and straps kept the pretty blonde secured; a set above and below her generous breasts, another about her waist, and a posture collar of rigid leather ensuring that she sat with her back straight for once, and unable to rise from the chair. More leather lashed her wrists to the armrests, with additional straps locking her ankles to the chair legs. Finally, a harness ball gag reduced her daughter’s angry protests to muffled, incomprehensible noises, drowned out by the creak of wood and leather as she struggled in vain. “Now, that is much better,” Agnes permitted, looking over her unruly child and seeing some improvements. “It’s important that you always maintain a good posture. No man of quality wants to marry a girl who keeps slouching.”
“Mmmmppggghh!” Sarah shouted angrily, aquiline features going red with helpless anger. Again she thrashed about, long blonde hair in a furious halo around her, the first tears springing to life in her green eyes as her bondage held firm. “MMMPPPGGGHHHHH!”
“I’m sorry I have to discipline you like this, my daughter, but really, I am at my wit’s end with you. I didn’t spend all that money paying for university just so you could spend all your time studying, of all things. I want to see your behaviour improve, young lady, or else!”
“Nnnngggh, mmpppgghhh! MMPPPGGGHH!” the blonde protested, the posture collar keeping her chin up and head straight, her struggles only causing the rigid leather to rub painfully against the soft skin of her jaw. “MMMMPPPGGGHHH!”
“And get used to that collar you’re wearing, as it’s a good way of improving your posture,” Agnes insisted. “Yes, a bit of discipline will do you some good…”
