Hermione Granger and Cho Chang were in desperate need of a break.

Not that they’d ever admit it, of course. Diligence and a hard-working attitude and a stubborn determination to succeed where amongst the admirable qualities the two witches shared, and Tonks was not shy in admitted she admired them both all the more for it. There were few students of Hogwarts University for Witchcraft and Wizardry who could match their academic prowess, and that was on top of their various other duties. In Hermione, the students of Hogwarts, both from the classic years and the new post-secondary curriculum, had finally found a Head Girl worthy of them, while Cho’s drive to improve her Quidditch skills and make up for past defeats could be seen in every practice session and game she led as Ravenclaw Captain.

Of course, that same drive also made them unwilling to accept their limits. Hermione was the woman who’d once thought it was a good idea to use a Time-Turner to get some extra classes, after all, and while things hadn’t gotten that bad, she still had a habit of biting off more than she could chew. Meanwhile, Cho’s poor self-esteem meant she had the unfortunate habit of belittling her own achievements while obsessing over her failings, real or imagined, which did nothing to ease the burdens she carried.

So, yes, a break was very much in order for the both of them, no matter what they had to say on the matter. She knew them well enough to know their objections by heart; that they needed to get ahead on their schoolwork, that idleness was a waste of time, that they didn’t need her mothering them… There was no need to hear it all again.

Not when she could just save time and skip to tying them up…

“Nnnggghh, mmmppggghh!” Hermione Granger offered a muffled protest, face flushed red with embarrassment and exertion as Tonks carried her into the Room of Requirement bridal-style, shapely legs kicking out in vain. The Head Girl looked rather fetching in her standard white shirt, black sweater marked with Gryffindor colours banding her waist, short pleated black skirt and black pantyhose tights, with the Gryffindor-pattern tie once about her neck now serving to cleave her full lips and keep the gag in place. Womanhood had been most kind to Hermione, and now the nineteen-year-old’s curvy figure was bound securely with red ropes pinioning her wrists behind her back, her upper body by a coil wrapped beneath her breasts, and more securing her ankles and thighs. Rich brown curls flapped widely about her in her struggles, and her nostrils flared angrily as hazel eyes stared daggers at the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor. “MMMPGGGHHH!”

“Oh, don’t be like that, ‘Mione,” Tonks chided her, unable to keep the amusement from her voice. “If you had just taken a break, even for a little bit, I wouldn’t need to take such measures, now would I?”

“MMMPPGGGHH!” the Gryffindor beauty snapped back. A second gagged voice sounded in agreement, and she strained her neck towards the source, eyes going wide with shock. “Nrrrh? Mmmppgghhh!”

Just as Tonks predicted, Cho Chang had not been idle while she was left in the Room of Requirement, but despite her best efforts, the beautiful, twenty-year-old Asian Ravenclaw was no closer to breaking free than when Tonks left her on the bed that dominated the space. Ropes of blue bound her lithe figure just as they did Hermione’s, her own tie likewise serving as a gag, and like Hermione, she’d been captured in her school uniform, only the Ravenclaw colours and her trademark knee-high stiletto-heeled boots distinguishing their outfits. With a grunt, Tonks deposited Hermione on the bed beside her, and Cho stared upwards at their captor with wary concern mirrored in her chocolate-brown eyes, wrists flexing helplessly against her bonds. “Mmmpgghhh?”

“Well, don’t you two just look so cute together?” Tonks crooned, taking a moment to indulge her handiwork. “Now that you’re both here, you might as well get comfortable. You two deserve a well-earned break, and I’ll be keeping you here all night to make sure you get it. And if one of you is still wound up when the night is over, well… I’d be happy to keep you both here until I’m certain you’ve destressed. Sound good?”

A chorus of helpless, gagged cries erupted from the two beautiful scholars, and Tonks smiled despite herself. Sure, kidnapping and tying up her students probably broke some rule in the faculty’s code of conduct, but for her students, Tonks would do a hell of a lot worse... especially if she could have a great deal of fun in the process. “Sorry, girls, but I value you too much to risk seeing you broken and burnt-out. Just relax, okay? I promise you, a single night’s break from your studies will do you a world of good…”
