Experiences may vary: Start
You were very excited. Today was friday and you had come to your first V-LARP event.
You waited in the queue nervously, leading to the Venn Machine. You would need a staff member to make your character, fortunately you had art on your phone to show them.
This was it, your turn. You signed the forums, there were two. Sometimes there could be a third NDA if you were privy to Story information, at least you had heard that on the online community.
Welcome to New Worlds Incorporated - V-LARP. Session 24.
This is the session 24 sign-up sheet. We use this to ensure banned individuals can't get back in, and also to hold you accountable should you break the TOS. It also allows us to keep track of your character, for census reasons, to protect you. It also lets us show stats on our website at: NWI.official.co/v-larp/statistics

Noble’s can only be approved by Staff members, and only if there is an opening. You will also be at risk of assassination, or execution.

Enjoy the Event!
Once you’re done, you pay by card. Then a staff member leads you to the Venn Machine.
“So, you got a ‘history’ I can use?” the staff member asked you.
You don't, this is your first event.
“Oh, you’re new?”
You nod, and tell them you have artwork you can share via bluetooth, if that’s okay.
“I see, sure I can do that, my phone wont be Venned.”
You get your phone out and get ready to share the pic of your character design.
“Here.”
He held out his phone, and they connected, you send him the pic and he looks it over.
“Got it! ...Not a bad design, I can work with this.”
You’re glad to hear it, and ask if you can store your stuff first.
“Sure, go put your stuff in the lockers, then follow me in.”
You do so, and enter one side of the Venn Machine. He enters the other. The typical Venn interior greets you. It’s not your first time using one. You will be changed for 3 days, but would change back before that.
“Don't touch anything, just let me do the work.” he speaks to you from the other side.
It is very tough to resist turning him into something, however.
After a while, he finished and hit the green button. And now you are your character, you can't see yourself yet, but from what you can see you look like the artwork you sent him. Not literally, you’re very much 3D and not drawn. Oh, and you’re about 1 inch or so tall, congratulations tiny.
After 48 seconds the Venn machine doors reappear...or is it a door shaped hole appearing? You’re unsure, but the staff member is now approaching you - and he is huge.
He lowers a kind of silvery tray that is palm sized. Although to you, it’s like a big metal rug. You get the hint and step onto it.
Good thing there’s ridged edges, because you are moving through the air suddenly and almost lose balance. You are taken towards a table with ornate boxes on it.
You are lowered into one. The inside has two led lights illuminating the inside, and the base has built in nubs that form chairs and tables. There are other characters in here already, sitting down.
You wait for a bit, and more people are added. A beast-kin fox with green hair and fur is put in. Then a pretty elf with blue hair. And finally a very noble looking redhead with dark skin. They seem to know each other, that’s nice.
You wish you had friends.
The box is carried after that, the lid closed. It’s very rumbly. You’re glad this Venn form doesn't have motion sickness.
You and the others are taken out and placed inside a black box. It didn't have a roof, and it was attached to a very large enclosure. The box felt like a room at your scale.
There is a line at the counter inside. The dude behind it looks like Gandalf from Lord of the rings, you think. He takes down your character name and hands you a packet with in-game money. About 5 in-game copper, and 3 silvers. He also hands you a card after you mention you’re going to Elador, the human kingdom.
The card had a miniature map of the city on it, and a red dot on one of the buildings. The otherside had a number. The Gandalf guy told you it was where you would be staying.
The three girls behind you from the box were next, you didn’t hear what was said, you were heading for the curtain leading into the enclosure.
You entered to see a large space, you could make out two cities nearby. One of them was in the desert to your right, probably Stormveil the Orc kingdom. The other one you knew as Elador was to your left. You could make out trees in the distance, probably the Elven kingdom of Ingrassia. And on the orc side, but further away - directly opposite Elador - was another city. Peliharaan, the beast-kin city.
You spent a while walking on the gravel road, probably 40 minutes, towards Elador. A carriage drawn by two horses and a handsome knight passed at some point.
The road had split in two. One part led to Peliharaan, and the other led to Elador, which is the one you chose. You figure Orcs and Elves just had to find their own ways to their cities.
You entered Elador, it was a nice place. Cottagecore buildings, and some kind of castle further up the main street. You followed your card and found your new home for the weekend. It had a few doors, so you found the one with the number on it that matched your card.
The door didn’t have a key. It’s fine, if anything happens the Venn machine can fix it. All your stuff was either in the lockers or in your car. All anyone had on them was what their character had, which was all venned stuff anyway. And everyone here knew the rules.
It felt safe, you wish it was like this in real life.
You enter inside, and notice the small latch you can use to keep the door closed on the inside. Your medieval apartment has 3 rooms.
A lobby, with a sofa and a rug, and what looked like a fireplace, but instead of logs and a fire there was some kind of fire-shaped LED. You turned it on, and did feel some heat from it. Makes sense, you’re smaller so the heat given off by LED’s would be more noticeable. Besides which, it was fairly big as LED’s go.
The colouring on the plastic was red, with a gradient at the spiky tips turning red to orange to yellow. Looked like a fake fire, but it certainly gave off a fire-like glow. Albeit without the flickering.
You entered another room, it was a bathroom, actually it looked modern. Slightly immersion breaking, but it beats using a well and wash basin, like they used to back in the day.
The final room was the bedroom, pretty simple. Had a window, plastic, you checked. And the bed was quite soft, they clearly just shrunk a regular mattress for it. There was a trunk, a kind of large chest, at the base of the bed. It had various medieval clothes in it, likely spares in case your outfit got ruined. There were a bunch of different types, and sizes. Even clothing for the opposite gender to you. Clearly not personalized.
Well, it was late, so you decided to get an early night. That was your Friday evening.
You awake to a loud bell on Saturday morning. Sunlight trickled into your apartment from the windows. You remembered where you are, and got excited again.
You climb out of bed and try the shower and toilet. They work like modern ones, and despite it being out of place in a fantasy world, you are very thankful for working plumbing. You wonder how it works, given how small you are. Venn stuff probably, you surmise.
You get dressed, and take a few minutes looking out your window onto the main street.
You saw all sorts of races, predominantly humans, walking about having conversations. Some were entering buildings with signs outside them. Probably restaurants. You could go for a bite, actually.
You head out your apartment, closing the door over and joining the hustle and bustle of the streets.
You see a guy with slicked back, black hair, and red eyes pass you. He looked important, and was hauling a handcart with a crate on the back.
You could swear you saw an eye through a hole in the crate...whatever, not your business.
You see a fancy place and try to get in, but the bouncer stops you.
“Sorry, we only allow designated VIP’s and Nobility in.” he tells you, blocking entry.
That’s stupid! But whatever, you head somewhere else for breakfast.
You find a place called ‘Gregs Tavern’, and enter inside. It’s like a real fantasy bar, awesome. You sit in one of the booths by a window. You can see outside, barely. The windows had a fog effect, likely to hide whatever debauchery happens in here.
A well built scottish man with white hair approached you.
“We got sausage rolls, sandwiches, and soup.” he said.
You give him your choice, but think it’s funny that ‘Gregs’ is doing Sausage rolls.
After a nice breakfast it was time to decide what you wanted to do for the day…
You’re a merchant and decide to sell your wares at the market. [Merchant Ending]
You’re a soldier/mercenary, and really want to check out front-lines. [Mercenary Path]
