Third story in my Good Witch Reina series.

Works of art

Reina sat at the counter, trying not to fall asleep. She had spent the last month working on an order for genie bottles and was completely overworked. Finally, she had sent the lad away earlier with the order and was now trying to relax.

Just as she was beginning to doze off, the familiar bell of the door opening rang, another customer.

“Welcome to Good witch solutions. Good solutions for every...” yawn “good desire…” Reina mumbled out tiredly.

Before her stood two customers, young ladies around the same age as her. One was carrying a canvas in a bag at her side, while the other seemed to be taking charge.

“Hey, I’m here for some magic.” Katie, an english and busty looking blonde girl said.

“Me too…” added Skye, a petite asian girl with long black hair and glasses.

Reina sighed and tried to muster some energy. “Sure thing, what do you want?”

“Here.” Katie said, placing an advertisement for an art gallery a few cities over. “I want to be a statue in this exhibit.”

“A-and I want to be part of this art…” Skye added, placing the large canvas on the counter. “Also in the same gallery.”

“Alright...how long?” asked Reina.

“As long as Katie wants…” Skye whispered shyly.

“Permanently.” Katie said in a resolute tone.

That woke Reina up fully. “Come again? I’m tired but it sounded like you both wanted to throw your lives away.”

“No, we want to live our lives as art.” Katie clarified and Skye nodded.

“...well I suppose I have to respect my customers' wishes.” Reina sighed, she hated the idea of permanence.

“Good.” Katie said firmly. Skye shifted nervously beside her.

“Can I ask why? I like to know my customers.” Reina took out two blank papers, grey with golden embossing, and began writing in latin.

“Fine. We’re both art students. Our college tuition is paid by our families. Despite our best efforts, we can’t seem to get a good grade. And now our families are upset and threatening to kick us out for wasting their time and money.” Katie spoke with an underlying anger and frustration. Skye simply nodded, looking more solemn.

“Oh...that’s really rough girls, I'm sorry to hear that…” Reina gave them sympathetic looks.

“Don’t pity us, just do the magic.” Katie started and slammed down her debit card on the counter.

“Oookay. Well, it’ll be about 400 for each of you...100 deposits… so £1000 total. Mind putting the card on my orb?” Reina had a bad feeling about all this but had a duty as a shopkeeper to run her business.

Katie picked up her card and held it to the orb. The orb displayed a screen projected outward, asking for a pin. Katie was surprised, she hadn’t expected magic to be so modernized, and put in her pin to pay the amount.

“Okay, so here’s how it’ll work...I’ll give you both a week to get your affairs in order. Then I will perform the transformation.” Reina tucked her orb away.

“Why can’t you just do it now?” Katie asked indignantly.

“Two reasons.” Reina replied grimly. “Firstly, this is huge and will change your lives forever, so think it over seriously. If you decide you don't want to do it, you get the full refund. Secondly, I need to make the arrangements with the gallery. Reserving a space for you both, and setting up enchantments to ensure nobody realizes it's you.”

“Fine. Come on Skye, we're leaving.” Katie said, and dragged Skye out with her. Skye looked back at Reina with a conflicted expression.

Reina sighed heavily and continued writing the contracts for both of them. She glanced at Skye's canvas to her side. “I’ll put in an escape clause for that one…” she muttered tiredly. “2018 is really not my year...”

-----

A week later, Reina had just returned from dealing with the genie bottle clients when Katie and Skye came in.

“Ah, the art girls. I trust you thought things over?”

“Yes, and we’re instant.” Katie said, calmer than last time, but no less resolved.

“Um...maybe…” Skye muttered nervously.

Reina sighed heavily.

“Here.” Katie placed a written note on the counter.

Reina read through it, her eyes widened, then she looked up with concern.

“This is...If I do it wrong or mess up, you might really end up stuck. And what your friend wants is...”

“We know.” Katie replied, and Skye took her hand.

“We’re doing this, together.” Skye said, a mix of nerves and resolution in her voice.

Reina nodded solemnly and placed two contracts in front of them.

“Left is for Skye to sign. Right is for Katie to sign. You do this, and you cannot back out.”

Katie didn’t hesitate to sign it, and when she was done, handed the quill to Skye.

Skye was a bit reluctant, but signed anyway.

Reina nodded solemnly and put the contracts in a drawer behind her counter.

“This way.” she gestured to the side room.

They all entered. Inside were two cardboard boxes, a wooden block in the middle of the room, and an easel the canvas was sat on.

“Okay. For this I need both of you to strip down to your birthday suits and place your belongings in the cardboard boxes.” Reina instructed.

Katie wasted no time stripping down, she didn’t even bother to fold her things neatly - just tossing them into one of the boxes. Her phone, her jewelry, piercings, purse, all of it.

Skye was a bit more reluctant, but Katie’s boldness gave her the courage to strip off too. She did put things more neatly in her box, but kept her glasses on for now.

“Okay, we’ll start with Katie first. Stand on the box, and strike a pose that will make this easier.” Reina instructed.

Katie wordlessly got on the wooden box and struck a pose, focusing on a modest one with one leg slightly raised, with her foot tip-toeing on the box. Her other leg was straight with the foot flat on the box. She stuck her arms out straight and away from her body slightly, she took one last look at Skye, and smiled.

And then Reina’s magic struck her, and she turned to stone with loud cracking sounds. She had become marble, with golden veins running through her. The magic turned the wooden block to marble too, fusing her to it and acting to keep her stable.

Skye approached slowly, in a bittersweet awe. She started to cry, caressing Katies stone form. Her smooth thighs. Her round breasts, still slightly warm but growing colder fast. She planted an unreciprocated kiss on Katie’s marble lips.

Reina watched, and in that moment understood why Skye would go to such uncomfortable lengths to follow Katie’s plan. It was love.

“Skye...dear, why don't you take a seat while I perform the final task?”

“She’s gone...she really did it…” Skye sobbed, wiping her tears.

“No, sweetie. She’s not gone, she’s still in there. She might be stone, but she’s still a person. She can see and hear you. She’s not an object, or a piece of merchandise. She is a living person, who is very much alive.” Reina placed a comforting hand on Skye’s shoulder.

Skye nodded, backing away from Katie.

Reina handed her a handkerchief, watching her with genuine concern.

“Come on, let's sit you down. You can watch me apply the finishing touches.”

“It wont hurt her…will it?” she sniffled.

“No, it’ll feel like clipping nails.” Reina smiled kindly.

Reina had to dig through her things, while Skye sat down on a stool in the corner of the room, staring at the marble statue.

“Okay, I’ll just enchant these…” Reina said, having found a chisel and hammer, which she enchanted to work on their own.

The chisel and hammer floated over to Katie, and began carefully chipping away at her shoulder. Reina kept the arm stable manually, with her hands, and after about a minute it came away.

“Whew...okay, clean enough to reattach.”

“Reattach? But this is…”

“I know what you wanted, but being permanently transformed is not as fun as you might think. So, I left an escape clause. As long as I don't mess this up, Katie will have the choice to turn back.”

“You...but why?”

“I’m not an evil witch.” Reina mumbled, sounding as if she was answering someone else. She placed Katie’s marble arm in the box with her things.

Reina then went up and began work on the second arm, concentrating her magic on the tools and keeping an eye on the cracks to ensure a clean break.

She gasped for a moment as a hairline fracture opened down Katies bicep, but let out a breath as it didn’t break completely. She continued her work, more carefully this time.

By the end of it, Reina carefully carried this arm to a workbench at the corner of the room. She would mend the fracture later.

“Did it work...?” Skye asked nervously.

“Yes, barely. I’ll enchant her form to be reinforced, just in case.” Reina replied, and did so.

“She’s beautiful…”

“She certainly is.” Reina sighed. “I had a thought…”

Reina waved her hand, and on the base of the statue, a brass label appeared, and black words engraved themselves.

‘Vision of Beauty - Katie McDonald 2018’

“You didn’t have to…” Skye replied.

“Consider it a gift. You’re both art students right?”

“Failures…”

“Well, think of it as finally getting success.”

“Success we never had...?” Skye smiled solemnly.

“Okay, maybe I could've phrased it better...” Reina winced and walked over to the easel, pulling the white sheet off the canvas. “Anyway, it's your turn.”

On the canvas was a full portrait, red and purple tentacles forming a writhing mass from edge to edge on the canvas. In the middle was a black void, empty of a subject. If there was a person there, it would look like the tentacles were reaching for them. But the lack of a person detracted from the piece.

“I saw what you wrote. Are you sure?”

“I figured I could indulge...try and make it more fun…” Skye smiled nervously.

“That’s no problem, but becoming animated and getting violated by tentacles for an hour every night will prevent your trance state. Forever is a long time to be aware…you don’t have to-”

“I will follow Katie anywhere!” Skye said resolutely.

Reina sighed. “Fine, fine. Come here.”

Skye walked over to the canvas. Reina reached out and took Skye’s glasses off.

“The magic has already been cast, just enter the canvas butt first. The magic will do the rest.”

Skye nodded nervously, without her glasses she couldn’t see that well. But she saw enough to reverse into the painting, activating the magic.

Tentacles, the very ones she had painted on the canvas, came to life, reaching for her, pulling her deeper.

“Oh...they’re quite touchy…” Skye giggled shakily.

“Stay calm. Once inside the painting you will be in two states at once.”

“Mmm, ooh one just...ahn!” Skye moaned as a particularly adventurous tentacle grabbed at her crotch, pulling her deeper and deeper.

“When animated, you will see the inside of the painting as a 3D environment, a tentacle pit with no way out. And a window above you, the surface of the canvas.”

Skye moaned again as she was now knee and chest deep. She had used her hands to balance on the canvas, but now they too were being pulled in by tentacles.

“When inanimate, you will be completely flat and immobile, 2D. Mere paint on the surface of the canvas. Stuck in whatever position you were in at the end of the hour.”

Skye gasped as a tentacle entered her and began pulling her in by her insides, but it didn’t hurt. It felt gooey.

“You won't feel any pain, since you’ll just be paint. The 3rd dimension you’ll be in is just an illusion to aid you in navigating the space during the hour you’re animated.”

Skye was still listening, but panting and flushed. She gasped again as now only her feet and head remained outside.

“There is a spell on the canvas that will prevent anyone from noticing you shifting positions overnight. And be careful, if you’re mid orgasm when the hour runs out well...then again maybe you’ll enjoy that.”

Skye let out a final moan as she was now fully sucked into the canvas. From her perspective she seemed to fall from the window of the real world, into a tentacle pit, being held in place as they explored her body. She was spread eagle, and about to climax when things shifted and she switched to ‘2D mode’, freezing her and the tentacles in place.

Reina sighed heavily, and with her magic created a frame for the canvas, with a glass covering. She also added a brass label to the frame of the canvas.

‘Beauty’s desire - Skye Ammano 2018’

She used her magic to shrink both of them down and placed them in a velvet box. Then she closed up her store to deliver them to the art gallery.

-----

At the art gallery, Reina placed and unshrunk the painting and the statue. They were in a part of the gallery that was for adults only. There were many statues and artwork here that were erotic in nature, or at the very least showed nudity.

On one wall was Skye and the tentacles, and across from her was Katie the armless statue. Both girls could see the other, Katie’s pov was locked in place however due to her eyes being frozen. While Skye could change her pov during the hour every night she was animated.

Reina’s enchantments meant that nobody would recognize the girls, as their appearances were unchanged. The enchantment on Skye meant nobody would notice her tentacles and body being in different positions every day.

“Okay, the telepathic link is on. You can both speak to me. Are you sure this is what you want? The escape clause means I can release you at any time.” Reina spoke to them.

“No. In fact, never come back.” Katie replied sternly.

Skye just moaned, stuck in her orgasm.

Reina sighed. “As per the contract, I will respect your wishes. However, the maximum between checkups is 5 years. Are you sure?”

“Yes. Leave us alone.” Katie replied.

Skye continued to moan.

Reina shook her head and walked away, cutting the link and leaving them to their fate. She had some plans to attend to anyway.

And so they were art.

-----

Over the months to follow, Skye’s hour of tentacle fun every night became monotonous. At first she enjoyed it, even locking herself in orgasm on purpose as the hour wore off and froze her in 2D bliss. But she eventually tired of it. And during the day, when she was immobile, she was bored watching people come and go.

Due to the hour of stimulation each night, which gradually became unwanted, she was forced into awareness day after day for the following 5 years. However her mind also changed, she forgot who she was. She only thought of herself as a painting, a woman bound to endless pleasure.

Katie fared little better. Over the months without movement or stimulation, her mind began taking a back seat. There came a point when she would find herself unthinking, and unfeeling. It was only when the Gallery’s staff cleaned dust off her every few weeks that she would realize this.

Eventually Katie’s mind began drifting, she forgot things, lost track of time, and unwittingly reminded herself that she was a statue. This ended up accidentally becoming a mantra in her trancelike state, which In turn caused her to see herself as nothing but marble. She was a marble statue, and she loved being admired.

Mindless and lost in their new forms, both women had become nothing more than art. No longer distinguishable from any other piece in the gallery.

--(Epilogue)--

The year was now 2023, it had been 5 years to the day since Reina left those two in the gallery. Her crystal orb popped into existence in front of her, highlighting a notification.

‘Katie and Skye - Art Gallery Check up today - Permanence contracts (2018)’

“Oh, I had forgotten about them after the craziness of 2020…” Reina muttered, standing up and making arrangements to meet them at the gallery.

A few hours later Reina arrived there while the gallery was closed for the night, using her magic to slip past locked doors easily, and be invisible to cameras.

She walked towards the adult section where she left them casually, uncaring for security guards who didn’t seem to see her as they walked past.

She found them, they had been moved around a little. The painting Skye was in had been moved to an alcove, while Katie had been moved around the corner to her own alcove a whole room away.

She decided to use a soul link to draw their spirits out and talk with them together in the middle of the room. Their spirits seemed lax and unresponsive so she had to cast a clarity spell to return awareness to them.

“Hello, Katie, Skye. It’s time for our 5 year check-up. How are you both doing?”

“...It has not been as fun as I had hoped…” Skye said.

“It was fine at first, but I lost myself after regretting it for a few months.” Katie admitted.

“I see. I did try to warn you, from what I recall.”

“Yeah…you were right, it ended up being horrible. The good part is that I lost my humanity after a while, so I didn't have to suffer with regret…” Katie admitted solemnly.

“For me I never lost awareness, I just kind of gave in to the pleasure after a while. It was boring you see, and I went insane. I questioned if my love for Katie was worth this pain…” Skye said with regret.

“Skye…”

“I’m sorry, Katie…”

“No. It’s my fault. My anger and spite for my parents drove me to this...You shouldn't have had to suffer for me.” Katie said mournfully. “I should’ve done this alone...I’m sorry.”

“Girls, as sweet as this is, the spell doesn’t have much time left.” Reina interjected urgently. “I need to know. Would you like to invoke the escape clause? If you don't, this will be the last time I check-in with you. I can’t keep doing this every 5 years.”

“I promised Katie...”

“No, Skye. Enough. We invoke the escape clause, Miss Reina.” Katie said firmly.

Just then the spell faded and both souls shot back inside the artworks. Reina sighed in relief. “Just in time...hang in there a little longer, ladies.”

She left, and over the course of the next week negotiated with the Director of the gallery to have the art returned. By the next week, after dealing with a space-heater client mishap, Reina had gotten the delivery from the gallery. The marble statue and the tentacle erotica were now in the backroom of her shop.

“Okay.” Reina started, connected to them telepathically. “Skye’s is easy to reverse, but I'm afraid Katie that yours is a little more complicated, and will take longer.”

“Reattaching the arms I guess, I’m glad you thought of me and kept them.” Katie replied gratefully.

“How long?” Skye asked.

“Given the nature of marble, it will take another month. During that time, you will be stuck here, in my backroom. I cannot move you, which is why you’re at the edge of the room.”

“That sucks...but I understand.”

“Can I visit her?” Skye asked.

“Of course! Actually, an upside to this is that Katie will get to see all sorts of magical transformations during her time here.”

“I guess that’s better than the boredom of the gallery…”

“Indeed. So bear with me, I’ll be cutting the telepathic link, as for some reason it interferes with alchemy. One month of silence, Katie. That’s all.” Reina said, and cut the link.

Getting Skye unmerged with the art was simple enough, Reina animated the artwork and made the tentacles ‘lift’ Skye towards the ‘window’, then Reina simply reached in and helped her out of the canvas.

It took Skye a little bit to get used to being 3D and on her feet again. Reina made tea and sat her down on a stool, placing the cardboard box containing her things next to her.

Letting Skye rest and get used to being human again, Reina began the long arduous work of attaching Katie’s marble arms. She used magic to tie them to her stumps correctly, and poured a magical solution over the break points.

“There. I just do that every day for the next month and she’ll be together enough to come back to normal.”

“Silly question, but what would happen if you undid the spell as she is?”

“Well. It wouldn’t work. See the arms are part of her transformation, and removing them has split the spell into 3 parts. I can’t turn her back until they’re reattached. But even if I could, it would be foolish.”

“How so?”

“See, she would be flesh and blood again, but there wouldn’t be arms, so the break points would be open wounds. Put simply, she’d be in agony and probably bleed out very quickly.”

“Oh. That’s bad.” Skye winced.

“Yup. Fortunately, one month and she’ll have arms again and won't have to go through that.”

“Thanks, Reina. From both of us.” Skye said gratefully.

“No problem, now get dressed and get home.” Reina gestured to the box.

“Oh crap...it’s been 5 years. They probably think I'm dead...” Skye muttered with dread. Would they have looked for her? Is there a grave out there with her name on it? How will they react?

“About that...” Reina smirked and began to explain.

-----

Skye returned home to her parents, who had been receiving letters from ‘her’ talking about how she’s doing alright at college and studying hard. For some reason they believe that they put her in for 5 years, and not a single semester.

Skye also found a large sum of money in her bank account. As well as accolades from the college for her incredible ‘Beauty’s desire’ piece.

Reina had explained to Skye that after they had both been sent to the gallery, she had set up all payments from the gallery to go to each of their accounts. She had also set up a magical process that would automatically generate letters in their handwriting and send them to their families. She did have to enchant their parents a little to make them think the college term was 5 years.

Skye had asked Reina why she would go to such lengths. Her reply was simply, “You two are people.” And so Skye left it at that.

Over the coming month, Skye regularly visited Good Witch Solutions. She would join Reina for tea and chat about how things were going, in view of the marble statue.

One day Reina checked Katie and decided it was safe to restore her. She carefully undid the magic bindings holding the arms, and once she tested their sturdiness she was satisfied enough to cast the reversal spell.

Katie tested her arms, noting they still felt a little numb. Reina assured her that it would wear off once her body finished knitting itself together in the coming days.

“So, from what I gathered during my time here...I have money, my parents don’t think I'm dead, and the college is proud of my ‘Visions of beauty’ piece?”

“That’s right. Your life should be as you left it. Now where did I leave those letter generators...” Reina trailed off and left the room, giving the two some space.

“...a lot has happened in the past 5 years.” Skye warned. “I’m still trying to catch up with it all…”

“I figured as much, I heard talk of wars and something about a pandemic…” Katie replied.

“On the bright side there’s tons of new anime to binge. I found this fun slime isekai, wanna watch it together?”

“I would love to watch some new anime with you, Skye.” Katie leaned in and kissed her.

“Oh Katie...I’ve missed you…” Skye embraced Katie tightly, and for the first time in 5 years they were able to share their affections.

Reina watched from the doorway, her heart full and light at the sight of them.

“Such lovely works of art...”
