"There is no way that this is the same girl!" Mrs. Edna Randell exclaimed when her friend, Mrs. Emily Powell guided her into the new nursery to view the newly-acquired little. "Why the last time I saw her she was covered in tattoos and piercings, her hair was jet black and only about an inch long, and she was wearing those awful torn jeans!"
Mrs. Randell was right to be incredulous. The girl in the playpen looked nothing like her former self. Gone was the foul mouthed, poorly-dressed punk and in her place was a charming girl with unblemished pale skin and her blonde hair arranged in abundant sausage curls. She wore a short pink dress and sucked on a pacifier with a dull expression on her face.
"It's the same girl! She's just called Lilly now instead of Lilith," Emily replied. "She's actually a little calmer than usual right now--you know how little ones get when they're milk drunk!"
Edna nodded and practically squealed, "She's just so darling now! Oh and look at that adorable diaper cover! I just love the lace and ruffles!"
Emily smiled and patted the girl on her frilly behind. "It took hours and hours to get her new wardrobe. Since Lilly hadn't ever been properly shopped for, I decided to have her try on nearly everything at the store! Oh, she tried to have a little tantrum at the beginning because she didn't want to model for me or any of the other customers I called over for second opinions--and then she had another one near the end because she was getting tired and cranky, but the staff was very helpful in getting her through her own little fashion show!"
