Taken at the Houston Zoo, we have here a pair of red-crowned cranes, also known as the Japanese Crane.  These are some of the largest and rarest of the crane family, normally found in Japan, Korea and China.  It is also the logo of Japan Airlines, the crane in silhouette with wings spread wide.
