“Come on Jenna! Pleeeease?”
“For the last time, no! Now leave me alone Serena!”
“It’s just one movie!”
“I have to study!”
“Aww…”
Such interactions were very common in room 173, Century Hall, Pragma University. Serena, a hyperactive and social blonde, always wanted to go out and do things, especially with her roommate Jenna. Jenna, however, was a quiet and reserved studious woman with long black hair, dark skin and a sour outlook on life. Naturally, the two girls didn’t always see eye-to-eye. Every time Serena wanted to do something, Jenna would disappoint. Naturally, they had a few problems and it was causing a strain on their relationship as roommates.
Once again turned down, a sullen Serena shuffled out of the room and into the dorm’s student lounge to mope and be bored. Why did Jenna always have to be like that? Why couldn’t she just cut loose and have fun for a change? Could they even stay roommates at this point?
“Let me guess, she blew you off again?” It was Carly, the RA and a personal friend of Serena’s. Carly sat down beside her upset friend and put an arm around her shoulder.
“Yeah. She did.” Serena replied, “Why does she do that? Does she not like me? Do I come on too strong? What’s the deal?”
“Look, Jenna…simply looks to the future so much that she forgets to live in the here and now. What we need to do is find a way to get her out of her books and into social interaction. I wish I could help.”
“You’re my RA. You gotta have something.”
“I’ll think it over. In the meantime, I want you to have this.”
And Carly dropped a plain brown book, about the size of a textbook, onto Serena’s lap. Turning it over, Serena found the word MAGIC written in golden letters on the cover.
“I got it for my birthday, but I found it too boring, but you’re a fantasy nut. I’m sure you’d get a kick out of it. Now cheer up already.”
With that, the RA turned and left for dinner. Little did anyone know that the simple act of giving away a book would lead to so much mayhem and woe?
Flipping through the book, Serena found that MAGIC was a textbook on all things magical: spells, potions, mystical creatures and so much more! It amused Serena that someone would make a fake book on magic that seemed so detailed. But still, it seemed to be simple fun, if a little obsessive.
Later on, in her room again, Serena decided to play with a basic spell that was in the book; lighting a candle. Concentrating on the unlit wick, willing it to light, she put her middle and ring fingers together and muttered the magic words.
“All that I desire, I shall have.”
And to her great surprise, a flame suddenly sprang to life and danced on the wick, as though it was always there! Looking over at her roommate, she was disappointed to find Jenna’s back turned, still engrossed in her studies. But still, real magic powers! With these, she could do anything! Be anything! No one would ignore her again! And this was a gift from Carly! Thanks were in order. Flipping through the book to find a suitable spell, Serena found that many of the spells required following the Law of Conservation of Mass, meaning she couldn’t make or destroy matter. No matter…the book has ways around that.
“But first”, she thought, “There should be a test to see what this magic is truly capable of.”
Walking a few doors down, Serena found the overly-decorated door of Milly and Tilly Johnson. These twins were so overly-energetic and loud in everything they did (the bright neon wrapping paper covering their door was hurting Serena’s eyes with all of its clashing colors), that they were positively unbearable. Surely, no one would mind if Serena used them for practice. And even if they did…fuck them; she’s got magic now.
A quick knock on the door brought one of the twins (she wasn’t sure which) to the door.
“WELL HIYA!” the girl shouted. Granted, her bright yellow outfit did plenty of shouting before that. “What brings you here, uh…?”
“Serena. I’m Serena. If your sister here too?”
And another, identical girl in blinding red flung open the doorway and exclaimed
“YEAH I AM!”
With both girls so close together, Serena made the same hand gesture as before and said those familiar words:
“All that I desire, I shall have.”
And both girls seemed to melt into one another, like two drops of water. The limbs and featured seemed to match up perfectly with one another and become one until there was but one girl standing in the doorway, wearing neon orange. Now one girl made of two is difficult to do in terms of conserving mass, so the girl was twice the size of her parts, leading to a giant standing in the bedroom.
“I…what…we…what did you do to us? Me?”
While the girl(s) struggled to figure out what just happened, Serena slammed the door and locked it with a spell. It seemed her magic worked! Now to thank her good friend.
…
“Serena? What brings you here? Are you feeling better?”
“Yeah! You’ll never guess what just happened. That book of spells you gave me…it worked! I can use magic!”
Carly could only stare skeptically.
“Riiiight…whatever works for you.”
“No really! I’ll show you! I gotta thank you for giving me this unique gift!
“Hey, girl? What’s up?”
It was Carly’s roommate, whose name Serena couldn’t remember. The opportunity was perfect. Once again, the gesture was made and with another muttering of “All that I desire, I shall have”, the roommate sank into Carly’s chest, and which grew the further in she went until the roommate was gone, leaving Carly with boobs that hung past her stomach. Her breasts literally gained a whole person.
“Serena, that did you do!? Look at me! I can’t go out like this! And what did you do with Stacy?! Is she still…”
“Relax. She’s fine. Well, I say that, but she’s your breasts now. Don’t worry, she can still see, hear and feel everything. You’re welcome.”
“Undo this now!”
Serena hadn’t expected this. She had thought Carly would be happy with her new breasts, but some people are just so unappreciative. So with another spell, her former friend lay on the floor, her mouth and limbs gone, and with a butt to match her breasts.
Now Serena could move on to her ultimate goal: breaking Jenna’s will and making things so they spend time together. Serena threw open the door to her room and, sure enough, her so-called “friend” was still studying.
“JENNA! Put down that book and pay attention to me for once!”
Jenna looked up in shock: Serena had never spoken to her like that before.
Serena pointed her strange hand symbol at Jenna and, once again cried out
“All that I desire, I shall have!”
And in a moment, Serena found herself sitting in Jenna’s chair, her head on Jenna’s body, next to the original owner’s head.
“Serena! How did you-get off of me!”
“No! We’re spending time together and…what’s going on?”
…
Magic can come in many forms and it’s important to fully understand your magic before using it. In particular, one must be aware of how strong emotions tie in to your power. In the case of poor Serena, her strong emotions made it difficult to control her magic, thus she did conjoin with her roommate like she wanted, but with a few errors. To begin, instead of the extra mass giving them a nice hourglass figure, it simply got added on as extra weight, making the shared body quite obese. For another thing, Jenna had full control of the body, meaning that Serena’s head could only watch, not contribute. And since that was the case, when they tried to unto or alter the change, nothing happened, since it was not Serena’s hands making the symbol.
And so the six women were as they were permanently, for no one else could get the book’s magic to work. On the other hand, Serena would never feel alone again.
