Kairi and the Quinnifier, Part 2
A ‘real magic’ story featuring QuinnTheAssistant and Kairi.
Continued from Kairi and the Quinnifier, Part 1
Content warning: this story is based on the fantasy that stage magicians with real powers are - without most of the audience realising - actually sawing, impaling, transforming or vanishing their assistants and volunteers for real, but with the aid of magic that prevents the subject suffering any lasting harm and which transforms their experience into one they can even enjoy. This one has explicit sexual content too. Enjoy!
Kairi gaped at the vicious-looking swords hanging from the rack that Quinn had just returned with. Each sword was a single piece of forged metal, the blade merging smoothly into the grip without any join. It was clear they could not be trick swords. No bendy or telescopic or folding or blades here. These things were damned real..
But how did they relate to the board with the woman-shaped hole?
“OK, Quinn,” Finella said, “hop up.”
Quinn strode over to the board, and without the slightest hestitation stripped off the dress she’d only just put on.
Oh god, Kairi thought. She does this on stage? In front of an audience? Then a second later it hit her. And I’ve just agreed to do everything that Quinn would do!
Kairi almost turned and ran. But some inexplicable fascination held her rooted to the spot. She watched as the now-naked Quinn went behind the board then stepped up into the full-length woman-shaped hole stopping exactly half way through.
Quinn filled the hole pefectly. She balanced there, the entire front half of her body projecting out beyond the board - face, torso, arms, legs, the lot. Her poise was superb, too. Kairi had to look carefully to detect even the slightest tremor, despite the difficulty Quinn must be having standing upright with only the narrow thickness of the board to support her weight.
“The next bit’s down to you,” Finella said to Kairi. “Get a sword - any sword - and stick it into the slot half way down the side of the board.
As if in a daze, Kairi did as instructed. The sword was surprisingly heavy, and from the way the light glinted off the edge there was no doubting its sharpness. She carried it carefully to the board, looking for the slot she was meant to push it into, and failing to find it. For a moment she was confused. Then she realised that Finella hadn’t meant a slot on the flat face of the board, near the edge. She’d meant actually on the edge itself. Looking carefully, she realised that the board was a plywood made of three thin layers and that half way down the side of the board the middle layer had been removed for about two inches, creating a thin vertical slot. She was obviously meant to insert the blade here, and push it along a channel inside the thin board.
From where she stood, Kairi could look along the narrow edge of the board, so perfectly bisecting Quinn into front and back halves. Quinn’s arm was only six inches from the edge of the board and the sword was two feet long. If Kairi shoved the blade all the way in, as she’d been told to do, there was no way it could stop short of Quinn, or pass around her. It would skewer Quinn’s arm and pin it to her side!
Kairi inserted the sword an inch or two, then stopped again. “Um, where’s the trick,” she asked, turning to face Finella. “Is there a safety catch I need to flip on first, or something? To avoid stabbing Quinn by mistake, I mean.”
Finella laughed. Astonishingly, Quinn laughed too. “I thought so,” Quinn said between chuckles. “We’ve found ourselves a newbie. And an innocent to boot!”
Kairi felt a flash of anger. “What’s so funny? I just don’t want to make a mistake and cut Quinn.”
That just provoked another round of sniggers. Finally Kairi let go of the sword and stepped aside so she could face both of the other women at the same time, her hands on her hips. “What’s the joke? What’s the big secret?”
Finella took a moment to compose herself then put an arm around Kairi’s shoulder, gently guiding the shorter woman back to the apparatus. She took Kairi’s hand and placed it back on the sword hilt, her own hand soft and warm on top. Kairi warred between shrugging the woman away and letting herself be guided. Finally she gave in.
The moment Kairi relaxed, Finella clamped her hand down tight on Kairi’s and shoved the sword hard, all the way in. Quinn’s cry of pain and the thump of the hilt as it went all the way home overlapped in Kairi’s mind along with her own silent scream of shock. She suddenly felt cold. She’d just stabbed another person! Surely there was no way Quinn could have avoided the blade. Kairi wanted to be sick. Finella’s arm tightened around her shoulder and the woman guided her round the front again. Numbly, Kairi let herself be led.
Quinn was still in place, and smiling, even, though it seemed forced. Finella tapped the edge of the cutout where the blade must pass into Quinn’s arm and Kairi could see a sliver of steel through the tiny gap. But there was no blood. Quinn seemed to be transfixed on the blade, yet unharmed by it.
“The secret,” Finella said softly. “Is that there’s really no trickery. The sword really is going right through Quinn’s arm and into her ribs. No trickery. But one big secret. And that’s that magic is real. It lets us do things like this without causing permanent harm.”
“Doesn’t it hurt, though?” Kairi asked.
This time Quinn replied. “For a second,” she said. “Then it’s like you’re numbed. You feel the pressure, you feel your flesh being forced apart, but you can barely feel the pain. And when it hits the right spot, the right nerves... well, actually, it feels bloody good.” She paused. “But at the moment it’s just damn uncomfortable, so hurry up and stick the next one in please!”
Stupified, Kairi complied. All in all there were eight swords, four for each side. Once they were all in, Quinn was thorought pinned in place. At least it must take some of the weight off her feet, Kairi thought. Standing on such a narrow piece of board must really hurt after a while. Then suddenly she laughed. Here she was, worrying about Quinn getting sore feet, when she’d just run the woman through with eight swords! The laughter was infectious, and in moments all three women were sniggering away.
Odd as it was, it broke the tension. Kairi suddenly felt comfortable around these two women. She was even comfortable with Quinn’s nakedness, though she wasn’t yet sure if she could strip off so readily herself and bare herself to strangers. “What now,” she asked, after wiping away a tear.
“We build a box around Quinn then pump in liquid silicone,” Finella said, “to make a mould from her.” Kairi looked confused. “So we can cast a replica of Quinn to use while the real Quinn goes on vacation,” Finella explained.
Then why do you need me? Kairi wanted to ask. Wasn’t she meant to be the stand-in while Quinn sunned herself on a beach or did whatever magicians’ assistants did in their time off? But she kept her mouth shut. Presumably all would be revealed.
Finella must have noticed the change in attitude. “Good, Kairi. Good. The more you just accept things the quicker you’ll get the hang it. Now fetch the blue panels from over there. The ones leaning against the zig-zag box.”
Kairi did as aked, and by the time she’d brought the last panel Finella had set up a hand-held spray gun, like a fake tan spray. “Mould release,” Finella said. “To make sure the silicone separates easily from Quinn when we open the mould and doesn’t take away a layer of her skin.”
That did seem a sensible precaution, so Kairi nodded, despite the nagging doubt that magic which could allow a person to be impaled by swords without suffering harm could surely stop silicone rubber from sticking to skin.
As Kairi watched, Finella directed the spray gun at the back of the board and sprayed a thin milky liquid all over the wood and the skin of Quinn’s back and legs and arms, even all over her brown hair too. Then Finella switched to the front. She worked up Quinn’s right arm, starting from her hand, then continued across her face and neck before going down her opposite arm. Just as she finished coating Quinn’s left hand, the spray gun gave a horrible clunk. It sputtered and ran dry.
Finella shook it, then rapped it hard with her hand. Nothing.
“Damn. It’s broken. Guess we’ll just have to do this the old fashioned way.” She set down the spray gun, grabbed a tub of mould release liquid and carried it over to Quinn. Then she popped the lid and stuck her hands in, rubbing them together to get them well coated before starting to rub the fluid onto Quinn’s feet. “Come on,” she said. “Get stuck in. You do Quinn’s torso while I do her legs.”
Kairi gaped. She was being expected to rub liquid gloop all over the naked torso and chest of a woman she’d only met fifteen minutes ago?
“Hurry up before it dries,” Finella said, a note of irritation in her voice. “Magician’s assistants can’t afford to be squeamish about touching people. Just imagine she’s your friend and you’re on the beach, rubbing sun tan lotion onto her back.”
Kairi wasn’t convinced. Sure, she’d helped out a friend like, that but the friend had kept her bikini top on and anyway she’d only asked for her back to be done. That was a far cry from rubbing an almost-stranger’s naked breasts. Still, this was a rehearsal for a show, not something meant as an act of intimate love. Just like actors might kiss on screen and have it mean nothing in real life. Convincing to watch, but with no passion behind it. She steeled herself and got on with it.
Quinn’s skin was incredibly soft, though Kairi could feel the toned body underneath. Her flesh gave to the touch but there wasn’t the slightest hint of flab. Nor was she overly muscled either. Just a perfect inbetween. Toned but with just enough female lushness to get Kairi’s juices... No! She mustn’t think like that. Just because she’d been without a lover for several months. And just because Quinn was pretty. Damn statuesque, in fact. Who wouldn’t feel a spike of lust if put in this situation with the glamorous assistant? It didn’t mean a damn thing, though.
And the little gasp that Quinn gave as Kairi moved her attentions up to the base of the naked woman’s breasts was just an automatic reaction too, Kairi told herself. Likewise the way Quinn’s nipples pebbled, begging to be touched. None of it meant anything would happen between them. Even the cute blush that spread across Quinn’s collar when Kairi cupped and kneeded one breast...
“I think they’re pretty well coated now,” Finella said, looking up from where she was massaging another handful of liquid into Quinn’s thigh. Kairi gave a little squeak, like a child caught with her hand in the cookie jar, and broke off contact. “There is one bit you’ve missed though,” Finella continued. “Below her belly, between her legs.”
Kairi swallowed. She’d been hoping Finella would get there first and deal with that area, removing the temptation Kairi felt. Instead Finella seemed to be rubbing Kairi’s nose in it, as blatantly as Kairi would like to rub her own nose...
Nope! She was so not going there. But Finella didn’t give her a choice. She grasped Kairi’s hand with surprising strength, placed it forcably, palm down, over Quinn’s mound, and started to rub.
Quinn sighed. Kairi squeaked. Finella gave a low laugh. She bent her finger over the top of Kairi’s and forced it down until it was against, then between, the swollen lips between Quinn’s thighs.
“Rub plenty in,” Finella said, “We don’t want any silicone getting stuck up there.” Kairi flushed but did as she was bidden. She had a sneaking suspicion that it wasn’t really necessary - Quinn was moist enough down there for nothing to stick - and that instead Finella was testing her.
She was dermined to pass. She rubbed and massaged, penetrating Quinn with first one finger then with two. She twisted and thrust. She did the old come-hither where Quinn’s sweet spot should be. She worked Quinn until she felt the woman give a gentle, suppressed shudder.
Suddenly intensely aware of what she’d just done, Kairi whipped her fingers away. She felt her cheeks burn, and didn’t dare meet Quinn’s gaze. A rushing noise filled her ears and she thought she might pass out. But even through that she heard Quinn’s soft whisper.
“Thank you. Thank you, Kairi.”
