Kairi and the Quinnifier, Part 1

A ‘real magic’ story featuring QuinnTheAssistant and Kairi.

As background, here is the advert that Kairi’s responding to.

Content warning: this story is based on the fantasy that stage magicians with real powers are - without most of the audience realising - actually sawing, impaling, transforming or vanishing their assistants and volunteers for real, but with the aid of magic that prevents the subject suffering any lasting harm and which transforms their experience into one they can even enjoy. This one includes nudity and sexual references too. Enjoy!

Kairi flinched. Even without her trademark mask, the black-clad Mistress Finella was an imposing woman. Even while seated, Finella dominated the small office Kairi had just been ushered into.

Kairi swallowed. “Er,” she began, only to be interrupted.

“This is Kairi, boss,” Quinn said. “She’s here about the vacation cover job.”

Finella raised an eyebrow. Then she stood. Even in her low heels she was an inch or two taller than Kairi. Her gaze raked Kairi from head to toe with a precision that made her feel stripped bare. Kairi fekt a sudden urge to tug her jacket closed over her chest.

Then, unexpectedly, Finella smiled. “Good,” she said. Then to Kairi’s astonishment she began to rattle off the details as if Kairi had already got the job.

“It’s for two weeks, starting immediately. I’ll need you twenty-four seven, but don’t worry, you’ll be compensated accordingly. Thirty dollars an hour, day and night, plus a five hundred dollar bonus for every stage show. Does that sound okay?”

“Er, yeah,” Kairi replied. It was far more than she’d expected. But twenty-four seven? She’d only been looking for something to earn a little cash in the evenings and on weekends. Still, she had some vacation time coming to her in her main job, so she could probably spare the time. She pondered for a moment more, then nodded.

“And you know what sort of thing’s expected of you?” Finella continued. “The advert was pretty brief but it covered the essentials. And of course, being in the business yourself, you’ll be familiar with my performances with Quinn. Basically, anything Quinn might do you’ll have to do in her place.”

Kairi nodded again. That was the rub. She wasn’t ‘in the business’ as Finella had put it. She had absolutely no experience of being a stage magician’s assistant. She’d not even seen a magician perform since her seventh birthday party, and he’d been pretty lame even by a kid’s standards. But no way would she admit any of that, let alone that she was only here because she’d  found a stange magazine lying beside a dumpster at the local theatre, picked it up on impulse, and been instantly captivated. The way it was written, as if the illusions performed on stage were actually real... well, that fantasy struck a cord in her.

And the small ads at the back... She’d pored over those for hours, back in her little apartment, imagining what might happen if she responded. One in particular had wormed its way into her mind so much that she’d even dreamed about it. After several glasses of wine the next evening, she’d plucked up the courage to respond through the magazine’s website, though she’d chickened out of giving her real name or contact details.

That made the text message she got on her phone five minutes later so surprising. Disturbing, even. How on earth had they got her number? She’d come close to deleting the message, but curiousity had won out.

It was just an address and a time.

Which was how she came to be standing here, in front of an actual stage magician and her assistant, being interviewed for a job.

Kairi suddenly became aware that she’d zoned out, and that the other two women were looking at her questioningly.

“Yes,” she said, finding her voice at last. “I’m fine with all that.”

Even as she said this, she wondered what she was getting into. Extreme magic, the advert had said. Presumably that meant a little more than pretending to be cut in two. Faking having her head cut off by a guillotine, maybe? And that reference to adult shows...? Skimpy costumes, she reckoned. Maybe a teeny-tiny bikini. Flashing a bit of cleavage for the audience. Not that she had a great deal to offer in that department, but she’d try her best.

“Okay,” Finella responded. The magician whipped some paperwork out from a hidden pocket and handed it to Kairi along with a pen. “Sign and date here,” she pointed, “and here, and here.”

“Er, aren’t you going to interview me?” Kairi said, then promptly kicked herself mentally. She’d expected her lack of experience to have been rumbled by now. Surely her awkward demeanour was a dead giveaway? But having got this far, what on earth was she doing giving them more chances to reject her!

Finella slapped herself on the forehead, in a manner Kairi was sure was staged. “Oh, I assumed Quinn had already done that. I’ll tell you what - we’ve got a simple illusion set up in the rehearsal room. It needs two assistants to perform it properly. Consider it an audition. If you do okay, you’re in.”

Kairi felt a flutter of nerves in her belly, but also a strange sense of relief too. She’d been starting to feel it was all going far too fast for her. This ‘audition’ might give her a chance to assess what she was actually getting into. She forced a smile onto her face. “Okay. Lead on!”

As if that had been her cue, Quinn opened the office door and Finella gestured for Kairi to step through.

The workshop they’d walked through had been chilling. Both in terms of temperature, and the effect the various half-built props had on the nervous Kairi. An iron maiden? Who in their right mind would step into a device that would drive dozens of spikes into every part of their body, even into their eyes and mouth? Although it was just an illusion, it was still terrifying.

At least the rehearsal room was heated a bit better, though that did nothing to sooth Kairi’s nerves. The warmth probably just meant the assistants would be rehearsing in some extremely scanty outfits.

What was a shy girl like her doing here? Parading about in front of strangers in a tiny bikini was so not her. But then why did she feel a strange tingle at the thought?

“Here it is,” Finella said, cutting off Kairi’s train of thought. The magician was gesturing at a dust sheet which covered something slightly taller than a person.

Quinn stepped up and tugged the sheet away. Underneath was a thin wooden board, a little over six feet high and three feet across. A full-length cut-out in the shape of a woman took up most of the panel. Although the pose was like a life-size paper doll, the body and limbs were realistically shaped. Almost like someone had used a real woman as a template.

The whole thing was kept upright by a simple wooden base.

Kairi stared. Was she meant to go in there? And then what would happen?

“Just a little something I’m working on,” Finella said. “I call it the Quinnifier. But before we proceed, you’ll both need to change into your costumes.”

Kairi was stymmied for a moment, but then Quinn strode off towards the far left corner. Kairi took a deep breath and followed her.

Quinn led her to a screen, hidden behind a three-part cabinet with holes in it. Hanging over the screen were two gauzy dresses with patches of silver sequins. Quinn stepped behind the screen and without further ado started to disrobe. After a moment’s hesitation, Kairi followed suit.

Kairi’s eyes opened wide as the taller woman tugged off her top and unclipped her bra to reveal quite spectacular breasts, large (at least compared to hers) yet firm. Kairi felt her cheeks flare with heat as she followed suit, baring her own considerably smaller chest.

“Trousers and panties too,” Quinn said. “These dresses don’t allow for underwear.” Kairi mumbled a reponse and pulled down her interview slacks along with the plain black panties she’d put on under them.

Quinn took the dresses and passed one to Kairi, who shrugged it on, glad to be covered again. Though not all that well covered she realised, as she looked at Quinn. The sequined patches covered Quinn’s nipples and crotch, but left most of her breasts and belly visible through the gauzy material. Another uncovered patch across one hip made it clear why panties could not be worn.

A brief glance down confirmed to Kairi that she was similarly clad, just the right side of gross indecency. Even the sequined patches didn’t do much to hide the shape of her projecting nipples. Must be colder than she thought. Yes, that was it. She tried to distract herself by pondering how the dress could be such a good fit when she’d not been asked to give her measurements in advance. Maybe Finella just had such an extensive wardrobe of assistant costumes that she could accommodate all shapes and sizes. But then who had fetched the right one and hung it here, waiting?

“Time to face the music,” Quinn said, pulling Kairi back to the here and now. The assistant grinned, then turned to walk back towards Finella, the experienced assistant’s buttocks showing clearly through the thin material.

What Kairi wouldn’t give to have an ass like that! And to have Quinn’s tits.

“At last!” Finella exclaimed, as they came back into view. “Looks good on you, Kairi,” she added.

“Thanks,” Kairi replied meekly, the praise making her feel even more self-conscious. Thankfully Finella directed her attention back to Quinn.

“We’ll dispense with the preliminaries I think,” Finella said. “Fetch the swords, Quinn, then we can begin.”
