In the Nevermore historia, it is said that "Farnathranell Vision of Beauty" the goddess of love and beauty who's comeliness was far beyond the other gods and goddesses, was used as a model for the first race of elves.  Eventually other races of man and monster populated the world created in other's images, and the panteon were pleased with their work.  However this would not last forever, and the the sister of Farna, "Sylestri, Dark Mistress of Magic" who was always envy of Farna's beauty, approached the elves with a proposal.  'Enslave the other races and take your place as the rightful rules of Nevermore.'  Wars broke out, and other races of the world were quickly subdued, becoming subservient to the elves for a thousand years.

With that, the attention of the pantheon turned to the cause, why would their greatest and most beautiful creation turn on their other creations?  Sylestri turned to her sister Farna and accused her of influencing the elves out of jealousy and hatred.  Farna pleaded with the other gods and goddesses, but none would believe her save "Rayalgus, Hope and Glory".  But the decision was made, Farna's beauty was too great of an influence on the mortals below, and she was to be locked away forever in the core of the world.  "Dunroval the Forge" the dwarven god, forged unbreakable orichalcon shackles and bound her forever to his forge in the center of the world.  For all eternity, five statues would hold fast to her shackles... all because of a sister's jealousy.
