Serena sighed and called her last pokémon back into it's ball. It could have still gone on, but by now she had enough experience to know when she was beaten. She had been so confident, too, striding into the Laverre City Gym and fighting past the trainers, only to be beaten soundly by the leader.
The strange woman had recalled her pokémon as well and was still smiling softly, as she had throughout the entire battle, as if she was incapable of any other expression. Serena had found her appearance and behaviour odd from the first moment, but at the time, there had been more important things to worry about.
However, now, that her battle drive had been extinguished, she took in all of her for the first time. The long legs, clad in frilly black tights, the incredibly thin waist, the wide kimono sleeves that looked more like wings than arms, and, most of all, her big, dark eyes.
"Well fought.", Valerie's chillingly soft voice complimented her, as she moved one of the large sleeves to cover the lower part of her face, "Though you weren't successful, it was a beautiful display. I wished it hadn't ended so soon."
"Um, yeah.", Serena said nervously, slowly taking a step backwards. "I really underestimated you. But, I'll be back! Once I've come up with a strategy."
She turned around to find her way back out of the building, but the moment she turned to face the door, she was instead faced with four girls in kimonos, the very same trainers she had beaten on her way up. She didn't know how long they had been there and how they came in without her noticing, but they were all looking at her, smiles on their faces, ranging from cheerful to mischievous.
"Do you really have to go already?", Valerie asked softly, making Serena turn back around and flinch, seeing her standing much closer, having moved without a sound.
"I, um..." She held onto the strap of her bag with both hands, suddenly unnerved. "I still have to... uh..."
She didn't hear any steps again, but she did feel hands gently touching her bare arms. A shiver ran down her spine and she straightened her back.
"I... need to go heal my pokémon!", she said quickly, attempting to turn around again, but several pairs of soft hands pushed into her back and dug into her arms, holding her in place.
"We can do that for you.", a different, gentle voice said from behind her, close to her ear, yet she felt no breath on her neck.
Serena stuttered her protest, but her bag simply slipped from her grip, taken away. She turned her head to try and see who was taking it, but she was only faced with one of the girls, smiling gently at her, her deep, violet eyes gazing at her almost commandingly.
"Stay a while.", Valerie said, drawing back Serena's attention. "You will like it here." Her smile was unbroken, the same as it had been, like her face was a porcelain mask. Her tone was gentle, yet it was a statement, almost a command, rather than an offer.
"N-no, I... I really can't..." The strong, soft hands pulled her arms back, pressing them together. Some of them rested on her shoulders and her waist, holding her firmly. "I ha-have to go see my friends and... and..."
A hand pressed against her back and with one sudden pull, countless loops of silky soft rope pulled taught around her wrists, her forearms and her elbows. Serena yelped, not at any pain or discomfort, since there was none, but at the sudden restraint. Immediately, she came to the realization that she was already trapped.
Tears welling up in her eyes, panic slowly growing in her chest, she looked up at Valerie's big eyes. "Please, I... I want to leave..."
The long sleeves pulled back and for the first time, Serena saw Valerie's hands. Soft, delicate hands, cupping her cheeks with long fingers. She was almost drawn to them, felt the need to look at them, out of a strange curiosity, but she found herself unable to avert her gaze from Valerie's eyes.
"You will like it here.", she softly repeated, leaning in closer.
With another sudden pull, rope tightened around Serena's torso. She felt the hands caressing her arms, her thighs and her sides. She parted her lips to plead once more, but Valerie closed the distance and caught her in a soft kiss.
Serena tried to pull away, attempting to strain against the ropes and push herself away from the strange woman and her assistants, but Valerie's taste and scent invaded her senses and in a manner of seconds, her eyes fluttered closed and her body relaxed, panic fading away into blissful indifference.
"Well done." Serena smiled and called her pokémon back. She folded her hands over the skirt of her red kimono and bowed to the challenger, who recalled her own pokémon, clearly satisfied with her victory and confident to move on.
"Please, go ahead.", Serena said with another friendly smile, indicating the correct way with an outstretched arm. "Miss Valerie is just ahead. I'm sure she will like you."
