(Spy X Family TF, Fiona to Sheepdog)
There were some within WISE who would call Fiona “Nightfall” Frost cold-hearted. Others would consider her to be ruthlessly meticulous in her myriad roles. Anyone who so much as glanced at her would see that she was a perfectionist, utterly devoted to her every mission. But only a handful of people knew that all of this was carefully constructed to hide her one weakness: Twilight.
Her mentor and true love had seemed like an unattainable goal. He’d been assigned to a long-term mission known as Operation Strix, and, worst-yet, had been assigned a civilian wife. She’d been forced to watch from the sidelines as some untrained woman was able to spend quality time with her beloved Twilight, without even knowing his true nature as a spy.
All of that was going to change soon enough. Fiona had received a simple, perfect coded message: she was to join Twilight’s family. It couldn’t’ mean anything else. At last, she was going to replace that irritating pest called Yor Forger.
And to think, the first moment of the rest of her life would begin with a simple shot. WISE had already contracted a local scientist, Doctor Lupus, to provide the routine procedure. And she couldn’t blame the doctor. After all, she too wanted to be in perfect condition for her meeting with Twilight.
Fiona’s heart fluttered as she entered the unmarked facility. On the outside, it looked like any common safe house. The inside revealed a much different setting, a clinical laboratory that even Fiona could find no fault with. Similarly, Doctor Lupus cut an impressive figure in her own right.
“Nightfall, I’ve been expecting you.” The doctor finished scribbling a note on her clipboard, tucking a strand of blonde hair behind her ear. “I’ve been informed you’ve been called to an immediate deployment, so I’ll make this brief.”
Fiona’s white bangs swayed as she nodded. Inside, her pulse quickened. Twilight has asked her for an immediate deployment? Her? He said he needed her? This was a dream come true. No. It was more than that!
“Of course, this injection has been specially formulated for this mission. It ensures compatibility and absolute loyalty to the asset. Please, have a seat when you’re ready.”
Compatibility? Loyalty? Twilight had requested this? Fiona’s heart went from a calm drumbeat to a staccato pace. She dropped onto the cool vinyl of the chair, struggling to keep herself perfectly composed. Her face was a neutral mask, even as the doctor’s needle struck into her arm.
“Please, let me know when you begin to feel any effects. This concoction, you see, it’s a bit of a passion project.” Doctor Lupus looked a little flushed, as though some of Fiona’s excitement had rubbed off on her.
Effects? Fiona’s mind raced. Was she supposed to somehow act as though she was getting even more loyal to Twilight? But how was that possible? Little did she know, the doctor’s compound held her answer.
Fiona’s eyelids fluttered, and her jaw suddenly felt… heavier. It was a pleasurable pressure, like chewing on a delicious, soft marshmallow. Idly, she wondered what it would be like to cook marshmallows with Twilight, soon to be her Twilight.
She was so wrapped up in thoughts of him that she didn’t even notice the changes consuming her face. Her perfect, porcelain skin had elasticized. It was stretching and softening around her reshaping bones, the smooth curve of her lips stretching into the beginning of something horribly canine.
Beneath her shock-white hair, a second, denser coat began to itch its way out through her pours. It started like peach fuzz, but soon began to grow thicker, denser, as fluffy as a cloud. Her bangs, once cut so perfectly, precisely smooth, now were… heavier. She wondered if Twilight secretly liked the sheepdog look, so painfully ignorant of how close she was to the truth.
The tingling in her face continued deep in her nose, her sinuses tingling as though she’d just inhaled a shot of mint through her nostrils. Her nose pushed out, changing with a dizzying speed, stretching the bridge of her nose into a dark, black snout. She twitched her new nose, absently licking lips that were growing darker, more rubbery.
The laboratory’s scent, once subtle, felt like it was growing. Fiona was sure she could pick out the exact brand of cleaning solution Doctor Lupus used, and could even point out every metallic instrument in the doctor’s care. It was fascinating, and Fiona inwardly squirmed at the thought of smelling Twilight like this.
“Anything the matter?” Doctor Lupus leaned in, staring at Fiona’s face, a little longer than was normal.
Fiona considered how best to answer it, even as her hands began to reshape. Once capable of delivering justice in Twilight’s name, Fiona’s slender fingers thickened. Her bones were shortening, dexterous joints fading away as though they’d never existed. Her fingertips and palms bulged into massive, plush pads. Her nails stretched into short claws.
“I suppose… my hands feel numb?” Fiona tilted her head to look down to them, only for Doctor Lupus’s blonde ponytail to obscure her vision.
“You don’t say?”
Fiona leaned back in the chair again, sighing. It was probably some sort of nerve dampener, something meant to allow her to better sustain high-force impacts… Or possibly to save her the embarrassment of flinching from a nick earned while cooking for Twilight.
As she fantasized about what sort of dresses she would wear for him, her hands bulged into unrecognizable white masses, leaving her with two enormous paws. There was an Ostanian saying about large dogs having even larger paws, and Fiona was about to prove it very true.
A fluttering pressure built within her chest as her ribs widened. Her slender frame barreled out into a canine fame unsuited for any of the bodysuits she’d normally wear as a spy – including her current tight black suit. The fabric creaked against her newfound mass, and small white tufts of fluff began to poke between parts in the seams.
As though the other changes had egged it on, her fur had started to come in denser and denser, blanketing her in the shaggy coat of a purebred English Sheepdog. It was so remarkably dense that the doctor began to scribble more notes down, fawning over the woman’s new look.
Still, Fiona fantasized. She thought about dancing with Twilight, absently twitching her feet, ignorant of her thighs’ bulging. Her muscles thickened, bones creaking as some stretched and others shrank. Her knees and ankles popped as they locked into a proper canine configuration. It made sitting a little awkward, and she found herself absent leaning.
Then came the breaking point: a thick, densely furred length of muscle that burst from the base of her tailbone, thwacking against the chair with a muted thump. Fiona’s instincts snapped her to full alertness, and she turned towards the noise.
Her eyes were met with an impossibly fluffy plume of fur, twitching absently behind her as though it had a mind of its own. She looked back to the doctor in shock, finally recognizing what the woman had been staring at. Fiona’s rubbery lips pulled back in an involuntary confused snarl.
“Aha! There it is!” Doctor Lupus clapped her hands together, shivering excitedly like a girl on prom night. “Isn’t it perfect? Isn’t it magnificent? You’re becoming such a wonderful sheepdog, which incidentally was entirely random yet almost destined to be! Imagine, you as a sheepdog! How loyal you’ll be, how large, how furry!”
“D-Doc-hnn! WHUFF!” Fiona’s attempt at speech was interrupted by a deep-throated grunt. The half-bark caught in her throat, struggling to burst past her lips, muffled by the thickness of her bulging tongue. A little drool leaked from the corner of her mouth.
“Ooh, you’ve noticed the snout? Isn’t it amazing? You have such a powerhouse of nose, and it’s so perfectly shaped! It’s so moist, so black, you can smell everything! I assume. Can you smell how excited I am of this? Or maybe even smell the exact leather used for the chair beneath your massively furry posterior? It’s like you’re a god of scent!”
Fiona struggled with her new heavy paws. She tried to push herself away from the mad scientist, but her body didn’t work the way she wanted to. Not that that fazed her too much. Her mind went into the protective cocoon of professionalism she’d so often defaulted to. She was essentially immobilized, with a complete lack of motor skills. But what did that truly mean for her?
“And the coat! What thick, wonderful wooly fluff!” Doctor Lupus sank her fingers into the forest of fur around Fiona’s throat, rubbing between the woman’s neck and shoulder. “It insulates, it protects, it demands to be pet! Why, you were simply the perfect canvas to become a masterpiece of a sheepdog! I bet you didn’t even notice the fur coming in with your new bangs, did you?”
Fiona worked her jaw a few times to get used to the motion. It was bizarre to have such a stretched face, but she was sure she could work around it. “Doctor, there seems to have been a mistake. I request you revert this now, or else-HURRFF!”
Her words were lost to a meaningless bark as her chest cramped, lungs reshaping within her torso.
“Ah! Puppy’s first bark! It’s adorable! But don’t worry, you’ll have no need of words soon enough. You see, you’re actually evolving into the perfect role for this mission!”
Mission? Her mission! She was supposed to be Twilight’s wife, but like this… How was she going to be even remotely of use to him?
A spike of panic jolted Fiona into action. She struggled to rise from the chair, desperately trying to force some humanity into her altered form. But without any experience walking, such a task was impossible. Her knees buckled, and she fell to the floor with a clumsy thump of paw on tile.
Her vision swam as she tried to adjust to her new view. The world was so much lower, yet it seemed… Almost smaller. Was she losing the ability to process everything she saw? Did dogs have a tighter field of view? How could that possibly be useful to Twilight? Was she about to fail at being his wife?
Doctor Lupus’s manic grin only widened as she dropped down beside Fiona. She reached out and vigorously scratched behind the woman’s ear, stretching it longer, wider, pulling it into a floppy, fuzzy mass.
“Sweetie, what’s all the fuss? This is part of the mission, you know. You’re going to have Twilight as your master, so just let that sharp little mind dull over. You’ll be so, so much happier as a dog.”
“Guh… Bllhhuh…” Fiona’s leg thumped instinctively, her tail wagging madly behind herself. That scratching hit some perfect nerve within her, flooding her with a new pleasure she’d never known was possible. She pushed her head against the doctor’s hands, her tongue spilling past her lips against her chin as she started to pant.
A small part of her tried to resist, even as her hindquarters lifted slightly, letting her tail wag better, letting her beg like a good girl.
“You see, you’re going to be a good dog, the best dog. And that’s going to make Twilight just so happy, won’t it? I’m sure that you’ll be just as loyal to him now as you’ve always been, right?”
Fiona’s mind was in a drunken haze of doggy pleasure, but even as addled as she was, she could still tell this was a good thing. Twilight was going to recognize her loyalty? She’d be able to serve him? To love him?
“Of course, we can’t just call you your old name. That would be too obvious, and there’s a chance your cover would be blown. So… What would you think about something short, but easy for that dumb doggy brain to hear? Maybe… Oh! Galore!”
Fionore shuddered, her mind quaking like a building struck by a wrecking ball. It resonated within Galona’s brain, bouncing back and forth, each time erasing a bit more of spycraft from her thoughts. Not that Falore needed that. Falore? Gal…
“Guuh… Ghhuhhrhuruhhrr…” Galore drooled like an absolute moron as the last of her cold professionalism melted away into the pleasurable puddle of canine contentment. She barely even registered the feeling of her old clothes getting torn off her enormous canine body.
“Oop. And there we go. Are you ready sweetie? Wanna meet your new family? Twilight? Galore wants her Twilight?”
Galore thumped to her feet clumsily. She was huge and warm and happy. Her eyes still held a bit of intelligence behind her shaggy curtain of bangs – but she was still rock-stupid for a human. She looked up at Doctor Lupus. “GROOF!”
“Attagirl!” Doctor Lupus slapped the colossal dog’s fat butt, before strutting towards the laboratory’s door.
Galore thumped after her, chest heaving, excited for the rest of her life.
