(Zelda TF, F to Dog)
“Hello? Purah, are you there?” Zelda did her best to hush her tone. Unfortunately, as princess of Hyrule, she’d been too well schooled in projecting her voice for a crowd, and it echoed back at her.
Fortunately, no guards came running. Unfortunately, neither did Purah.
“Where is that woman when you need her?” Zelda muttered to herself, looking around the lab. Tomorrow was supposed to be the first of her ‘vacations,’ days where she could sneak out of the castle and enjoy the kingdom.
But this plan hinged entirely on Purah’s research. Apparently there was some sort of artifact that would grant the wearer the ability to pass as any other being in Hyrule. It almost sounded too good to be true, which was precisely why Zelda wanted to test it the day before.
Zelda might have had a better attitude than most royals, but that didn’t make her any more patient. She waited another moment longer, before closing her eyes and focusing on the magic in the room. Most of it held the same metallic texture of Purah’s handiwork, but in the corner of the room there was something more… Fuzzy. It was almost like feeling herself snuggle into a warm, thick blanket.
Zelda opened her eyes, finding that she’d walked over to an artifact oddly reminiscent of a necklace. It should have been a warning sign, but she was much too curious about it to bother examining it. Before she knew what she was doing, she’d lifted it from its place and let it settle around her neck.
The silver chained band was cool around her throat, in stark contrast to the necklace’s warm gemstone. Zelda circled over to one of Purah’s mirrors, admiring her reflection.
“If nothing else, at least I can wear this to be fashionable,” Zelda said to herself with a smile. She paused, raising a hand to the gem at her throat. “Though… Were I to assume this is in fact magical…”
It only took a slight spark of magic, just a second of that familiar tingling through her fingertips into the gem, to make the necklace glow. Zelda beamed at the sight, looking at her reflection to see the artifact in action.
Purah had promised it could temporarily reshape anyone, but she was terribly vague about the specifics. Upon close examination, it seemed like the first sign was that the necklace itself was changing. The metal band thickened, losing its pristine shine in favor of a dull leather.
It now almost resembled a collar, albeit one with a cute gemstone inlaid near its tag. Zelda blushed slightly. “Is this what the people wear nowadays?”
As if to reply, a thick and fashionable collar of blonde fur burst from the collar of her shirt, so dense that she couldn’t see her neck through it. The shade matched her hair, and Zelda chuckled, admiring her reflection. “Well, that does make this blend in a little more… Though I wonder what sort of creature was shorn to make this?”
She reached her fingers towards her throat, tugging at what she thought was the hem to her new outfit. Her neck prickled instead, because she was pulling at hairs that had been grown from her own body. Her eyes widened for a moment, and her fingers jerked away as though they’d been burned.
Visually, it almost looked as though they had been. Her fingertips had turned to a shade of brown, and were swelling slightly. She looked at them closer, seeing a velvety texture that seems to soft, and warm, and…
Zelda flinched, realizing she’d been pressing her changed hands against her face. She tried to pull her hands away, but they stuck to her upper lip, tugging it out like taffy, A faint popping seemed to echo in the room as her new jowls disloged from her fingers, flapping back against her face wetly.
“Whuh thuh?” Her voice sounded a little bit slurred behind them. She gasped, seeing unmistakably canine features beginning to overtake her cute face. Her pointed ears were fattening, growing thick and heavy. They dropped down against her cheeks, thumping loudly.
Everything was loud, in fact. Was her sense of hearing adjusting to her new form? She yelped in panic, but it emerged from her throat as a low “WURFF!”
Frantically, Zelda cast her gaze around the room, searching for anything to write with. She caught sight of a pen near Purah’s table, and turned towards it. And kept turning.
Her legs weren’t responding as they should have. She could see why – they’d stretched in some areas, and shortened in others. It gave her the appearance as though her knees had reversed, which in turn gave her the balance of a newborn.
“Whoaaff!” Zelda thumped onto her chest. The impact of her fall was cushioned slightly by her big squishy paws, but she wasn’t sure if that was a blessing or an insult.
The changing princess struggled to right herself, clambering onto her hands and… Well, she’d meant to go onto her hands and knees, but her new posture made it much, much easier to get onto her hands and feet. She growled slightly, only to explosively bark as a tremendous pressure built up within her.
She was swelling, from her shoulders to her hips. Muscles were thickening, bones were realigning, and dense fur stretched her cute blue outfit to its limits. Then, the stitches to her outfit popped one boy one, exposing how furry and inhuman her once slender figure had become.
“Whuff!” Her fleshy jowls smacked against her face. Drool splattered down her chin onto the floor, thick and slimy. Zelda’s cheeks burned, this was beyond humiliating. She was already acting like some sort of animal.
A tail burst from her backside with enough force to drop her onto her fluffy chest once more. This time, there was enough fur that she could barely feel the impact.
Miserably, she looked to her backside, seeing the huge, fluffy thing thump from side to side. The door creaked open, and her tail thumped even faster.
“Pyuurwuh! Hyuuurwuuff!” Zelda bark-begged, her butt wagging without her brain’s consent.
A familiar white-haired head poked around one of the tables. Purah adjusted her glasses, clicking her tongue. “Oh, dear. You went and tested it without me, didn’t you?” The scientist didn’t wait for a reply, pulling down a mirror so Zelda could get a good look at herself.
It was worse than she’d expected. From her neck down, she was some sort of massive, fluffy canine. Her features were already doglike too, though there was a distinct lack of fur around her face. It left her very recognizable, despite everything else that had happened to her.
“Not to worry, not to worry. The necklace simply awaits the last inputs before it finishes your disguise.” Purah hummed, tapping her chin. “But as for the last inputs… What to call you? Aha! Since you’re a princess, how about Queenie?”
Zeldie’s head throbbed. Her tongue spilled past her lips, and she wobbled in place. It was like someone had stuffed the space between her ears with cotton. “Whuddoo dawrrooo?” She slurred, eyelids growing heavy. And fluffy.
Purah chuckled, scratching the canine princess’s ears. Thick fur itched its way out of her ears, greedily trying to savor more and more of the scratches.
Zeeldie… Quelduh… Queendurrrrhhhuh… Her brain was melting away, replaced by canine pleasure. Her eyes glazed, tongue wagging. “Guhhrrroof! Whurff!” She barked, thumping her back paw happily.
“Oh, my. Someone likes that.”
Queenie’s ears perked. Who liked that? Was it her? She did like it. Was it her? A fleeting part of her mind didn’t like being talked to like this, so she thumped one of her enormous forepaws against her ear to dislodge those thoughts.
“It’s you.” Purah hummed with a smile.
Queenie’s tail thumped like crazy and she slobbered like a moron. She didn’t care, this was the greatest feeling ever. She was liking this just like a good dumb girl should!
Purah giggled quietly, dusting off her knees and looking back to the doorway. “Now that that’s settled… I suppose I’ll need to see if her guardian can manage to get here a day sooner. I’m sure he’d like to take care of her more than I would…”
“Duhhrruff! Wroof!” Queenie barked, failing to understand a single one of the words the scientist had said. None of them were her name, so that meant the words weren’t important. When Purah didn’t react immediately, she turned around and began gnawing at a fallen boot on the ground, unaware that it used to be hers.
Purah tutted. “Although, this may be a an excellent opportunity for me to test some of my pet cleaning devices. I’ll just need to bring them back in from outside,” she paused, realizing her mistake a moment too late. That last word was rather dangerous.
Unfortunately for her, that was all the warning she got before Queenie bowled her over, showering her face in wet, slobbery licks.
