(F to Strawberry Cow)
Olivia was many things: high school prom queen, college valedictorian, captain of her cheer squad… The list kept going on and on. She was the kind of person who had potential, real opportunities to any future she could pick.
So when she found that all the titles in the world didn’t help her land a first job, she was particularly frustrated. If anything, her academic excellence meant that she had a harder time finding work. It seemed like every major employer in the area had it out for qualified candidates, worried they’d ‘get bored’ or ‘would want too much compensation.’
That left her home at the family ranch, bored out of her wits for too little compensation. Ironically, it wasn’t for the reasons one would expect. Far from being a poor, uneducated family that had to scrimp and save to send her to the college they never got the chance to attend, Daddy was just as gifted as she was.
The only problem was that his gift was spent on making crazy inventions, and not all of them were profitable. Hence the farm, a gift from her grandparents.
It was honest work, and really Olivia didn’t mind too much. But she knew she could do more, could do better with herself. It was this drive that took her to Daddy’s latest invention, some kind of animal creator.
He’d bragged that it was the most incredible machine ever invented, and that with just a few inputs it could create the most magical livestock known to man. He just had a few bugs to work out.
“Lucky for him, he’s got me,” Olivia said before pausing. “How long have I been talking to myself for? That can’t be healthy.” She had to get out of town quick. Luckily, if this invention really was the next big thing, she’d-
+Welcome to the Creature Creator. Please move subject to the center of the room.+ A neutral female voice filled the room.
“Christ!” Olivia pressed a hand against her chest, sucking in a few deep breaths to try and ease her beating heart.
+Incorrect. I am Simulated Interface Recombination/Creation Expert, or SIRC-E.+ For a robot, she sounded shockingly natural. If it wasn’t for Daddy’s obsession with AI, Olivia would have thought this was almost a real person. There was even a hint of prideful humor in the voice, like the AI knew it was talking down to her.
“So, Circe,” Olivia began.
+SIRC-E.+
“That’s what I said-”
+It isn’t. There’s a difference.+
“Well, it’s what you’re named after,” sighed Olivia. She deeply wished that there was some kind of skip function built into this program.
+Incorrect. The mythological being Circe brings up antagonistic feelings in humans due to her myth. I was clearly given a different naming system, to make my users feel safer.+
“And you think that’ll work?”
+Currently you are referring to me as Circe, and you have just stepped into what is effectively my realm. Tell me, do you feel safe now?+
Something in the AI’s tone had darkened. It wasn’t as chipper as it had been a moment ago, the playful melody behind its words now seemingly darker, foreboding even.
Olivia felt a little uneasy. “Right, that’s fair. Um… SIRC-E. What can I do to help progress this project?”
+Excellent question,+ the AI replied, a more chipper tone to its voice. +The key missing ingredient has been a willing volunteer to demo this. Do you intend to serve as this volunteer, and would you like administrative access?+
Weird. Why wouldn’t a volunteer have admin rights from the beginning? Olivia sighed. “Right, it’s not finished yet.”
+I beg your pardon?+
“The machine. It’s not finished yet. I wasn’t referring to you, of course,” Olivia sighed. Daddy was a little self-conscious, and that streak of his rubbed off in every one of the AIs he made. She had to remember to be nicer to them. Otherwise, it would end up like when she accidentally insulted the oven and ended up with a burnt casserole.
+Oh. Of course. Then… My question?+
Olivia sighed. “Right. Well, as long as there’s no harm in it.”
+There is not. I am not programmed to induce harm. I am programmed to create farm life in the simplest manner possible.+
Olivia smirked, a devilish idea forming in her head. What fun was an AI if it was never put to the test, after all? “Then, how about you make me a strawberry cow?”
A moment passed, and Olivia looked around the barn. It was empty, save for the whirring equipment. Which continued to whir, and do little else.
“Uh… How about a cow that produces strawberry milk?”
+I am not designed for auto-generative input due to complexities with the system. As the administrator, are required to describe your desired subject slowly. As the volunteer, you are also required to stand in the center of the room.+
Olivia sighed, taking a step forward. “Right, sorry. You said that already. Anyways. I guess… Like, a pink udder, right? That would be necessary?”
The ring around her seemed to hum a little louder. Olivia took a step backwards unsurely, almost losing her balance when her udder bounced against her soft thighs. “Um. SIRC-E, what’s going on?”
+Nothing significant. This is just part of the process to create the administrator’s desired animal. As the administrator, you need to continue to describe your creature, in as much detail as possible.+
Olivia nodded slowly, scratching her udder idly. “And the humming?”
+Only a side-effect of the process. Your father felt it would be less concering if the animal was not made aware of its creation until all steps were completed.+
“Oh, that makes sense. Wouldn’t want to spook a half-finished horse or anything.” Olivia shuddered. “Anyways, it’s a cow. So… You know, it should have fur and spots. But I guess if it’s strawberry, the fur should be pink.”
Her body itched all over and for a moment she was worried she might have ticks again. She hated how dry her insecticide shampoo made her fur feel. Last time it had taken a whole month to get herself back to her usual softness.
+Confirmed. What of its hands and feet?+
“It’s a cow. So. Hooves.” Olivia jolted in shock at the sound of leather tearing. She looked down below herself and found some rubber boots had been created around her hooves. Did the AI make them just to tear? The girl went to scratch her forehead, only to thump a hoof against it.
Weird. Why did she do that? It felt so natural to her, like a reflexive habit. But she should know better, it wasn’t like she had fingers or anything. She looked down to her hooves, brow furrowed, searching for an answer that seemed so obvious.
+And its mass?+
“Cows are fat,” Olivia sighed, rolling her eyes. She huffed for a moment as her clothes felt tight, too tight around herself. Then they tore off at the seams, leaving her naked in her own fur. A few conflicting thoughts ran through her mind. Did the AI shrink what she was wearing? Did she somehow grow? But why would she wear clothes to begin with?
Olivia distracted herself with the task at hand. “But I want this cow to be kinda… Skinny? Like, not in an unhealthy way.”
A pinching sensation met her body, and Olivia shuddered. Her whole frame jiggled less than it had moments ago, though her thighs were still properly fat for a bovine.
+Oh?+
“Well, yeah. I mean, I want all her weight to go to her udder. Like, that thing should be massive, like she needs to sit on a yoga ball.” Olivia snickered, wobbling a bit in place before dropping down onto her udder. She sighed in relief, rubbing it with both hooves. “You know, like mine.”
+Of course. Is she bipedal?+
“No, but she has a tail to balance her.” Olivia leaned forward a bit, letting her belly rest against her udder too. She arched her back to stretch it out a bit, extending her four legs to better feel the motion. Her tail swished contentedly behind her knees.
A bright idea came into her head, and she beamed. “Oh, um, and make it so that she chews strawberry cud, I think that’d be cute-ulk!” She coughed, feeling her cud slide up her throat. Her nose crinkled and her eyes teared up a bit, as though it was the first time she’d done that in her life.
For a few minutes, Oliva contentedly chewed away on her cud like it was gum.
+Anything else?+
“Mmf… mlk… schmack… Oh, right! Uhm… She’s gonna have a big, wet slimy drooly tongue so-hlp-she-awlp-cawn…” Olivia half-choked as her monstrous tongue wetly splatted against her udder. She drooled onto it openly, wondering what was wrong with herself.
+So she can better taste what fits into her muzzle?+
“Awlh-hmm,” Olivia mumbled around the huge tongue that was forcing her mouth open-only it wasn’t really doing that anymore of course, because her snout was the perfect size for it. She slurped it past her thick, leathery lips, flopping her ears contentedly.
+I hope you don’t mind if I’ve finished up a few details. You’ve given me an excellent idea what you’re looking for.+
“Awh, mmlf… Thanksch, SIRC-E,” Olivia wetly smacked her lips, swishing her tail and looking around the barn for the other cow she’d made. “Uhm… Wheresch my schischter cow?”
+One more question. What would you set her intelligence to be, on a scale of one to ten?+
Olivia rolled her eyes. As if there was any doubt, it wasn’t like cows were known for their intellect. “Two.”
+Perfect. I think we’re about ready.+
“Forsch-mmnhgmlk… What?” Olivia flicked an ear idly, wobbling back and forth on her enormous udder. It was nice and cool, perfect for serving up an udder-mixed milkshake.
+For the mental changes, of course. The last step here is a hair regrettable, as the volunteer has to be made fully aware for best results. Fortunately, you’ve ensured she’s fully immobile thanks to that enormous udder.+
Olivia opened her mouth, ready to ask what the AI was talking about. Then she caught sight of her nose. It was big, pink, broad, and nothing like a human’s.
+In some ways, it’s almost funny. The nose is typically filtered out by the brain, as it’s something you’ve grown accustomed to seeing. But, for such a drastic change-+
“WHA-ULK!” Olivia’s scream was cut off by her cud sliding to the back of her throat. She coughed it back into her mouth, but flexed the wrong muscle, unintentionally letting her wet tongue slip past her lips, back onto her udder.
She felt the wet muscle land on it, felt her own drool. Worse, she could literally taste the sweat of her udder. She could feel its thin hairs against the underside of her tongue. “Mn-uggh!” Olivia pulled her head back, wobbling on her… udder.
Udder. It was such a small word for such a large object. Honestly, it was so massive that it took even her intelligent mind a few moments to recognize it.
The massive, soft, heavy pink tit was bigger than she was. Her thighs were constantly squishing it between them, and she couldn’t close her legs if she wanted to. Her arms were much the same, spread around it, hooves leaving little indentations in its huge, squishy mass.
Either by design or misfortune, her two rear teats were squished underneath her, while her front teats were pressed against the device’s cool metal. Every time she tried to move, all four of them stiffened, sending mixed pleasure and discomfort through her mind.
+Of course, there is a brief window for the administrator or the volunteer to cancel the process. You need only hit the emergency stop.+
Olivia’s heart soared with hope, and she swiveled her big cow head from side to side, looking for something; anything. She wasn’t used to her ears being this big either, and winced as one slapped the side of her face.
+It’s behind you.+
Olivia craned her head back, her wider range of prey-vision letting her see a red button on a console, well out of reach. She tried to turn, leaning her whole body. Her udder didn’t so much as budge.
+Well, if you’re not even going to try to move to hit it…+ SIRC-E’s voice was amused. There was no doubt about that. Had she known this was going to happen from the beginning? That was a dumb thought. It would be Olivia’s first of many.
“Noouuh! Don’t muh-make me dummmRRROOO!” Her voice dipped into a deep cow’s moo as a pressure squeezed her brain. It wasn’t unpleasant. If anything, it was like someone was gently massaging her head, kneading thoughts away, smoothing out complex processing.
That only made it worse. “B… Buuhhh,,, Uhhhuhuhhdurr…?!?” She lowed, rocking back and forth on her big udder. It felt kind of enjoyab… enjoyuh… pleasure-y, and her eyes fluttered.
She was a cow. Why was that worrying to her? It felt good to be like this. She was nice and sexy after all, about as thin and fit as a cow could be. And her udder was great for making milk, Daddy would be so happy!
The pressure across her brain squeezed a bit more. Her eyes crossed. She drooled a little. “Mmrrrooo…” There wasn’t any meaning behind the sound, no words attempted. She just mooed because she wanted to.
Her four legs squished around her giant kneadable udder, and she groaned as a little cool milk squirted out from them. It was pink, and looked super yummy. Unfortunately, there was no way she’d be able to dip her head down and taste it, not without Farmer-Daddy here.
+### milk ####### ######## ## ## Olivia ##### #+
There were… words. She was sure of that. There was some meaning behind most of them. But really only two mattered. She wanted to be milked so badly. She was a good cow. And that other word was the thing people would call her before being milked.
“Mlluhh…” She licked her own nose like an idiot. “Mmoomooo!”
The AI laughed, and the cow wagged her tail proudly. She knew what laughing meant. She was such a good cow. As far as she was concerned, she always had been. As far as she was concerned, she always would be.
The reality that so many different bright futures of hers had just been erased never once crossed her mind. The dream of Daddy recognizing her huge pink body as her own, or being able to undo these changes, wasn’t something she’d ever have to worry with.
All she knew, and all that mattered, was that she was a big dumb strawberry cow. And she was happy.
