(Various to Cows, F to Cow)

Some days Roxy wanted to wear green, some day she wanted to wear blue. Her favorite were the purple days, the ones that didn’t normally feel special, so she wore her favorite color to the office. But today…

Ten degrees below freezing (in degrees Freedom, she didn’t know what that was in Communist), three projects due that morning, and a presentation in the afternoon.

Definitely a gray day.

She prepared herself for the cold by sniffling a little, digging through her wardrobe for the exact right shade to express her melancholy. The first thing that really caught her eye wasn’t gray at all though, it was a white faux fur with black spots.

Ordinarily the cow-print would be a little much for Roxy’s office, but something really spoke to her today. She didn’t even really remember where she got it, only having memories of some night out drinking at Mardi Gras.

The mystery only intrigued her further, and she happily slipped it on. Unfortunately, this was when her ‘Leave the house NOW’ alarm went off, gratingly informing her that she’d be at least ten minutes late.

Yep, definitely a gray day.

xXx

Her boss was waiting for her, a dark look on his face that melted into confusion at the sight of her coat. Roxy held up a hand, forestalling any criticism. “Not in the mood, let Roxy finish her coffee,” she said, making a beeline straight for her desk.

Her phone pinged as she sat down, and she spared it a curious glance.

+Did you really just say that to Mr. Andre???+
+He’s going back into his office now+
+OMG he looks so shocked+

Kaylie was, as ever, quick on the keys. If the girl could improve her effort, she might one day be more than a receptionist. Roxy smirked at the thought of the terminally-online girl leading a course someday.

+Well its cold out+ Roxy typed back, pausing. +How much trouble you think I’m in+

+IDK+
+Good luck!+

Roxy sighed, taking a long sip of her coffee. It was still nice and warm, giving her a little bit of pep. She’d need it for this, she hated apologizing. But Mr. Andre known for his occasional sense of humor, right?

It was this thought that kept her going as she made her way from the comfort of her desk to the danger of the hall. A few people stared at her, and she realized that she was still wearing the cow-print jacket.

As if to echo this, a loud “MOOO” resonated from Mr. Andre’s office.

Roxy smiled at that. He can’t have been too mad at her if he was teasing her for her outfit. Unless he was furious and this was some new form of passive-aggression.

Well, she wouldn’t know without opening the door, so Roxy summed up her courage, pulled the handle, and found herself face-to-face with an honest-to-God cow.

“Wha… Hwuh?” Was the best she could manage, staring at the big dumb animal. It was currently snacking on some papers that looked fairly important, tail swishing behind itself lazily.

“MuhooOOOO.”

Roxy rubbed at her eyes, realizing a second later that she could hear and smell the dumb thing perfectly well. This couldn’t be some kind of illusion, it had to be real, right?

But… Maybe this was some kind of prank between Mr. Andre and Kaylie? That certainly made more sense than anything else she could come up with.

Roxy tugged her phone out from her back pocket, calling Kaylie without delay. She knew the young girl hated talking instead of texting, so that would just be Roxy’s little revenge for this.

“Wha-hello? Who died?”

“Very funny, Kaylie,” Roxy rolled her eyes. “Do you two even have a plan to get this out of here? And how did you know what I was wearing today?”

There was a small pause, long enough for the cow to let out another dopey moo, loud enough that it almost felt like it echoed.

“… Was that a cow?” Kaylie sounded genuinely confused. Roxy had to give her some credit, the girl could act.

“Yes, it’s a cow, now wha-” The call ended abruptly, and Roxy looked at her phone, surprised. “Did she just hang up on-”

The door to the office slammed open, Kaylie’s eager face beaming with excitement. “Omigosh you need to see it! In the hallway, there’s a couple of-hluk.” It was like the air was snatched from her lungs mid-sentence as she caught sight of Roxy in her white-and-black outfit.

“A couple of?” Roxy asked, only for the lowing of cows to greet her. She looked past Kaylie’s shoulder to see another pair of cows in the hallway, standing on top of tattered business clothes.

Something in her brain clicked, and she could feel the gears begin to turn. But before they could get very far, Kaylie bumped into her side, sending her stumbling back. Roxy turned to scold the girl, only to scream in shock.

Kaylie’s face was distorted, with a larger nose, wider ears, and a big, slimy tongue. Her body had gained an immense amount of weight, and her fingers were fusing into black lumps. She opened her mouth wider, and a trickle of drool trailed down her cheek.

“Mooo.”

Roxy backed up uneasily, watching as changes spread faster and faster across the girl’s body. Kaylie’s arms and legs stretched. A tail sprouted from her backside. Her cute features fully bloated into a muzzle. Yet the strangest thing about all of this was how her eyes never once broke free of Roxy’s cow-print top.

Roxy would have told herself to calm down if she could, but her mind was too busy struggling with how this was even possible. Her annoying coworker had turned into a fat heifer right in front of her, and the only explanation she could think of was that it had something to do with her top.

“Hey, did I hear cowmmmuhOOOO!”

Roxy turned toward the door to see one of the engineers – she didn’t really know his name, but he worked for Brandon-clutch at his gut as it expanded. A weighty, pink udder burst free from his slacks, and soon enough he joined Kaylie on the ground, mooing and lowing like a moron.

Okay, it had to be the shirt. That was the only logical explanation. Right? Roxy gulped, darting from the room, trying to cover herself from the gaggle of office-workers that had gathered to see what the commotion was.

Confused gasps turned into a choir of wet moos, newly-minted cows falling over one another, hooves thumping into the walls and floor.

It was a nightmare. Roxy made a mad dash for the bathroom, one of her safe havens at work. The stalls were empty for once, nobody was at the sinks, and the mirror-

“Ulk.” Roxy stared at her reflection. The cowprint top looked good in the closet, but on her it was… Perfect. She shuddered as a warmth filled the gap between her clothes and her skin, the top dissolving away her bra to stick to her like glue.

Her hands shook as she brought them to her chest. She rubbed her palms and fingers against the soft fur, her soft fur, and another garbled choke hiccupped in her throat.

She knew what was happening. It was the same thing that had happened to everyone else. She wondered if this was how it felt to be an addict. She knew this was bad for her, but she couldn’t stop. This was so…

The word didn’t come to her brain. She could picture the letters, N, I, C, and E. But stringing them all together just felt like an impossibility. Her hands moved to her head, pressing against her skull like she could keep her thoughts inside by holding on.

“Muh… Brain feel… No thinky any muuh…” Roxy wobbled in place, her tongue getting tied by the simplest words.

Of course, it was easy to tie with how thick it was getting. Roxy shuddered, squishing her tongue against the roof of her mouth. She let it fall open, and with a wet slap, it fell against her chin. Drool spilled from it onto her udder and- udder?

Roxy looked down. It had felt so natural that she didn’t even notice she shouldn’t have one. But sure enough, there was a pink, heavy udder between her legs. It was warm and soft like her skin, yet she could almost feel milk sloshing around inside of it.

Her hands dipped a bit lower, rubbing against the long teats that served as her body’s new nipples. She crinkled her nose, feeling it too stretch, then squeezed her chest again.

Rather than the soft warmth of her breasts, she was met with a firm hide. Her human chest had shrank away – or maybe it would be more accurate to say that her torso was barreling out?

Roxy looked into the mirror, finding herself much too large for her clothes… Except, of course, for her new black-and-white coat. Again, words were struck from her mind. Roxy staggered forward, dumbly reaching a hand out to the counter to catch herself.

Her hoof met the granite instead, and with her body’s new weight behind it, easily broke through the cheap office construction. Her snout thumped painfully against the tile, and she let out her first moo, even if it was a small grunt of shock. “Mhuhoo.”

The word tasted good in her mouth. It made her tongue tingle in the most magical way. Roxy smiled to herself dimwittedly, leaning forward and trying again. “MUHHRROOOUUH.” It was deep, resonant, and warm.

A tail slowly stretched from her backside, making her spine tingle as it started to sway from side to side. Her ears flicked at the side of her head, growing large and floppy, all the better to catch every sound around her, all the better to find her herd.

Memories flitted before her eyes as they vanished one by one. Ironically, one of these glimmers was of a forgotten night, of drunkenly stumbling into a cursed shop and stealing a cute top. Roxy couldn’t think of why that was any more important than the memories of her college or her home life, but she was sure it… Meant…

She mooed again, dimwittedly. Her eyes dulled as she blinked, and she shook out the last of her growing body. The cow didn’t pause to wonder what she was thinking about. She didn’t need to know, because she could hear other cows just outside, and knew that was where she belonged.
