(Various M and F to Pokemon Mass TF)

There was no reason behind it. It was a virus that spread from sound alone, infectious cries doing the impossible: turning people into Pokemon. Just a single cry was enough to doom a person to a life in a new body, with a new mind—and the city was so very full of such cries.

A Salazzle smirked, pressing Mike against a wall. He’d seen this happen to each of his friends, one at a time. She’d, disgustingly, had her Shrubbish companion plug their ears with something that was hopefully far more sterile than it smelled. Then, one by one, she’d removed the plugs, hissing into their ears and reveling as they changed into Pokemon.

Then she’d let them scurry away, not a human thought left in their heads.

Would it hurt when it happened to him? Would it be terrifying? Mike had imagined so, had pictured her cool reptilian skin pressing against his and quavering at the taunting look in her eyes.

He wasn’t ready for how warm she was, or how smooth her skin felt. Her long fingers stroked at his ears, tugging at them as she teased the plugs out. She was playing with him, he knew it, and yet something about it was… Exciting.

“Salazzle,” was her first whisper to a person who wouldn’t be much longer. As she hissed, she tugged.

Mike’s ears slipped up towards the top of his head, and her groaned, knees going weak. He felt his backside start to slip down the wall’s smooth tile, but somehow his head stayed at the same height to her eyes.

She pressed a knee into his belly, and he had his answer why. Even though his legs felt like they were atrophying away to nothing, his gut had swollen, bulging with a pleasurable warmth into a delightfully round belly.

“Mwuh?” Was his eloquent reply. He was always bad at that. Any time a girl made him feel that wonderful way, he’d go numb in the brain and barely babble out anything sentient. So really, was it going to be that much of a change for him?

Or… Shouldn’t he be concerned that he was feeling so aroused?

Soft, velvety fur tickled his swollen stomach, spreading from his belly button in a wave around his body. He could feel his feet start to swell, stretching into heavy paws. Small, sharp claws poked their way from his toes, each a pinprick of sensation followed by a rush of pleasure.

He stared at the Salazzle in open wonder, opening his mouth and. Well. It was supposed to be a moan, but it came out as something of a yawn. It seemed to be the right reply; however. She flicked out a long, serpentine tongue, letting it snake around his throat like a collar. She pressed in closer.

“Salllazzle.” This time she dragged it out, let it linger.

Mike’s arms fell to his sides, shrinking. Or was the rest of him growing? It was hard to say, hard to think. Maybe that was because his head was swelling up with the same soft fat as his belly, growing rounder, smoothing away his human features.

The thick fat squeezed his eyes shut, took away his nose, but somehow stretched his mouth. He moaned-yawned again, another long and drawn out blissful breath that left his belly quivering. With his mouth open, Mike played his tongue along his teeth, feeling his bottom canines sharpen into short tusks that would leave him with a dopey underbite.

Dopey… Something about that word felt so nice. “Uh feel… Uhhhm…” He half-giggled, feeling the Salazzle press herself into his newfound heft. His soft, marshmallow-like belly shivered over his feet in an incredibly pleasurable way.

She kissed him. It was probably supposed to be something of a nibble on his tongue, but Mike’s addled brain interpreted that pressure in a different way. “Saaah…” She breathed into his mouth, a small gout of flame slipping from her lips to fill his belly like spicy food.

“Luh… Laaaah?” He giggled dopily, trying to finish the word for her.

“Saaah…” She filled his lungs with so much more warmth, so much more heat and desire.

“Laaaaah… Laaaax…” He exhaled back. Then the pressure of her body vanished. It would have been disappointing, excecpt for how warm and heavy he felt. He… Name? He had one of those. Right?

“Snor… Lax?” He rumbled, considering opening an eye. But that first part of what he said sounded so good. “Snorlax…” He rumbled, the last of his thoughts a victim of the wonderful feelings that now gripped him.

A deep sleep overtook him, though his snores were loud enough to begin infecting any unfortunate passerby.

Amy burped, a small gout of purple flame passing from her lips. Her eyes widened, and she jerked back with enough force to tug out her corded headphones.

“Ambipom!” Crackled again from the speakers, just loud enough that she could hear the cry a second time.

The kitchen was loud enough that nobody else could hear her headphones, but it was crowded enough that everyone could see Amy hiccup again, more flame spurting past her hands.

Her eyes widened, especially as heat seemed to spill past the back of her collar, singing her hair. Despite her job, she’d kept it long as a personal indulgence. Now, that indulgence was crackling aflame.

“Yo, what the hell?” One of the newer cooks called out.

She didn’t have a response, other than another hiccupped fireball. Her body stretched like taffy, legs and arms shrinking around a growing torso. The piercings in her navel jingled as her midriff exposed itself, and she tripped over the short skirt that now spilled over her paw-like feet.

Her best (work) friend jumped to action, grabbing a nearby extinguisher. “Hold on, sweetie!”

Amy couldn’t warn Latoya away. Her face stretched into a snout, the rest of her burning hair falling from her purple scalp to reveal a pair of pointed ears. She writhed on the ground, feeling the mercifully cool tiles against her stretched, weasel-like body. Another fireball bubbled up in her throat, and as her friend approached, she let it spill with a loud “Typhlosion!”

Latoya’s rush stumbled to a halt as the cry rang in her ears. She triggered the extinguisher, but dropped to the ground as her legs retracted into her body. It kept firing as her arms followed suit, and her torso hit the ground with a loud clatter.

The fireball hit her a moment later, singing away fabric and revealing a cream-and-brown shell. Latoya’s shocked face grew rounder and dopier, skin turning blue save for the area under her chin, which brightened to the same cream as the belly of her shell.

Thick, dense clouds from the extinguisher blotted out the two’s writhing bodies, until a loud “OOISE” echoed through the kitchen. Two gouts of water cleared the mist and flames, as metallic cannons burst from within Latoya’s new shell. Her reshaped arms and legs popped out a moment later, now covered in thick blue scales that resembled armor.

“Phlosion, Typlhosion!” The Pokemon that had been Amy half-cried, half-yawned. Purple flame licked at the nape of her neck, and three purple orbs of spectral flame tickled at her throat. She looked at the Blastoise across from her with a lazy smirk, before sending another playful rush of flame at her.

The Blastoise roared with a blast of water from her cannons, starting an impromptu battle, ignorant of the other cooks in the kitchen who’d begun to change themselves.

“Spheal. Spheal, Spheal, Spheal.” Emery looked into her reflection, half-gagging as her mouth grew wider. She’d never been happy with her full-body mirror, but at least it let her see… Well, everything.

She’d seen a video online. She had to try it. It was a muted film, with just a second of audio that was easy to miss. For that reason, it had spread like wildfire, with panicked and increasingly illegible comments staining the video.

There was already a name in her head. It was as simple as that.

Or it should have been.

Now, seeing her ears round, seeing her nostrils flare on a cute muzzle, she had to wonder: was she making a mistake?

“Suuhhhpheal.” It wasn’t like she could go back, though.

Emery had dreamed about this for so long, though admittedly it had been turning into something cute and normal like a dog or a fox. But this was fine too, probably.

She shivered, thoughts swimming as her body became blubber. Everything was so soft, so round. She felt full, yet hungry at the same time. It was like she was heavy and wanted to eat more… Well, she could always try some cat food now that she’d let Ribbons go.

She felt a little proud of that. If she was going to change, she didn’t want her pets to…

“Spheal?”

What had she been thinking about? She wobbled, dropping onto her belly and bouncing slightly from the motion. Her legs took the opportunity to twist away into a cute tailfin that matched the little nubs that now served as her front flippers.

Emery didn’t know. She didn’t really care, either. It really was happening to her. She really was turning into a cute Pokemon. Today was going to be the best day of her life. She looked into her reflection, repeating her new name again and again, until all that was left was contented barks.

Rebecca stumbled from the pink creature who, until a moment ago, she’d been fitting for a suit. The mirror felt cold against her back, and she whimpered out a feeble “Help.”

The little creature lifted an adorable finger as it shook off its unstitched trousers. “Clefairy.”

It started to wiggle its finger back and forth, and Rebecca gagged, feeling her neck start to thicken, start to stretch. She cupped her hands just under her chin, and whimpered as they were lifted well above her head. Worse still was the feeling of small hairs growing from her skin. It could only be fur, but what kind?

Against her better instincts, she turned her eye toward the mirror, only catch sight of a new Pokemon in the reflection. This one was like a purple shadow of the adorable pink creature before her. A bridesmaid’s dress slipped from its leg as it floated in the air, well above Rebecca’s head even with her lengthened neck.

She jerked back from the reflection, looking up and whimpering—only to find nothing there. She blinked, then squealed at the sensation of a wet tongue dragging itself along her cheek.

“Gengar…”

Her hands couldn’t reach her face to dry it, and she felt its drool trail down her chin. But there was still nothing there. At least… Not without checking the mirror.

She turned slightly, a thrill of horror creeping down her spine. Sure enough, her reflection sported a stretched neck, black fur along her neck. Drool trickled down her mirror image’s chin, but despite it, her reflection was… smiling?

“Clefairy!” Pouted the pink creature before her. Rebecca had a moment to glance at it before it leapt at her, catching both her wrists in its hands and pulling.

It shouldn’t have had much of an effect. The little Pokemon was barely like a teddy bear compared to her. But for some reason, it had enough strength to jerk Rebecca forward, falling onto her hands which landed with a dull clop.

She whimpered, finding a pair of hooves where her hands should have been. Then her shoulders started to shift, angling her neck further and further back, so that even belly-down, she’d still be facing straight ahead.

“N-no, stop! Please!” Rebecca screamed. Her reflection cried. “!ɘƨɒɘlꟼ !qotƨ ,on-И”

She could hear her other voice, mirrored to her own though just slightly different. Where her throat added a slight half-bleat to her every word, her reflection’s instead whispered things with a panicked hiss. She looked back over her shoulder to find the Gengar cupping her mirrored cheeks.

She could feel its hands on her, feel the fur on its paws sway in an invisible wind, despite being pressed squarely to her cheeks. Worse, she could feel its tongue as it slid the wet thing past her lips and down her throat. Tauntingly, the thing stared deep into her reflection’s eyes, letting out a low and growled “Gengar.”

“MwwwulpHHH!” Rebecca gagged against the intrusion, trying to turn her head away, as though that would break the spell on her. From behind her, she heard a “!HHHqluwwwM”

The Clefairy’s response to this was to begin to sing its name, bobbing back and forth.

Each time it cried out, Rebecca’s face distended a little more, stretching out into a prey animal’s blunt muzzle. As her eyes slid towards the sides of her head, she could see her reflection’s face instead smoothing into a dark black-furred orb.

Desperately, Rebecca tried to scuff her hooves backwards, pressing back into the mirror. Somehow, it worked, sinking her feet into the glass like it was water. She could feel them press against her reflection’s, then sink into them.

She gathered her wits enough to look back, only to scream in two voices. Her legs were merging with her reflection’s, and it wasn’t stopping. The Gengar flicked its tongue from deep in her throat, so deep that she could feel it press against her reflection’s back, lifting her chest off the floor.

In the real world, her chest rose as well, lifted up further and further. Her calves were sucked into the mirror, then her thighs, and finally her hips. She was standing on her hooves, connected midway to her panicked reflection, which tried to hiss out against the Gengar.

The ghostly Pokemon smirked back, slucking its tongue so quickly from Rebecca’s body that she felt a momentary pang of emptiness. Then it grabbed her reflection’s changed head, pushing it backwards, hissing its name all the while.

Rebecca could see her mirrored twin’s eyes glaze over, a small trickle of drool dripping down her spherical face. “.ɒ- ɒɒɒɒ,” it groaned; from her own lips came an “,aaaa-a.”

Slowly, surely, she was pushed forward, her head swimming drunkenly by new sensations. She was being moved away from the mirror, and impossibly her reflection was coming with her. It was like being lifted from a pool of warm goo, and ripples traveled through the mirror’s silvered surface as she moved.

Then, with a pop, she was fully through. Her reflection was now her lower half, connected to her at the waist. “Giraf!” Her other half cried, its words now clear. Rebecca groaned, thoughts swimming. Pressure built and built within her skull until two white antennae burst forth, twitching in time with her swelling nose.

“N-no… Wait… Not me too…” Were her last words, before pink triangular plates slid from the back of her neck and from just between her dark half’s shoulders. They tugged their way out of her, and she felt her vocal cords compress backwards at the same time. “Naaahhttt… Nhhhhgghffaaaa!”

“Giraffff,” Her other head hissed, looking at her with interest. She could see herself in its eyes, through its eyes. She could see her face growing golden fur, with a crown of white that trailed from her forehead to her nose. She could see her own eyes begin to glaze over.

“Farig…” she said at length, the noise oddly familiar to her alien tongue. The plates continued down her spine, meeting in the middle of her new body.

“Giraf?” Replied her other head, bobbing with hissed laughter. Its arms, her legs, reversed their joints, now suited to trotting like an animal.

“Girafarig.” Both her heads spoke at the same time.

The Clefairy and Gengar admired their handiwork, hissing at each other with laughter at their new companion.

Martha was hard at work preparing yet another meal for Aidan’s needs. Her husband insisted that he had some sort of disease-of-the-week, but she was convinced that his ‘mac-and-cheese-and-chicken-tenders’ diet was instead a sign of a picky eater.

Naturally, she was surprised to return to the family room to find her own plate of curry cleaned completely out. A second shock came a moment later at the sight of Aidan stuffing his face with some of the decorative wax fruit they kept on the table.

His eyes were wide and panicked as his mouth grew larger, a bruise-like purple spreading across his body. Golden whiskers slipped from beneath his fading nose. His ears simply vanished into his purple head, and his eyes turned small and beady. The most defining characteristic of his face—no, his body—was his mouth.

The rest of him simply melted away into an amorphous blob, with small flapping paws for hands at his sides. He didn’t stop eating. The panic in his tiny eyes faded, replaced with a hunger that wasn’t even sated by literally devouring the table.

“Aidan!” Martha gasped, horrified.

“Swalot!” Was his retort, and that was that.

Martha’s hair bubbled out into pink frosting, complete with a faux cherry. Her shocked face devolved into an idiot grin, complete with a strawberry-pink tongue sticking from past her pale lips. The world rose around her as she shrank smaller and smaller, giving her a distinctly pastry-like appearance.

She looked up at the starving mouth before her and felt a sliver of apprehension. The new Slurpuff would have much more to worry about than cooking for her spoiled child, soon.

“Aw, are you lost little guy?” Gabby leaned down to pick up the little pink, ribbon-clad… Dog? Cat? She didn’t know, but it wasn’t running from her, so it had to be a pet of-

“Sylveon!” It barked directly in her face.

The street was crowded enough that only a few people saw her cute features bulge outward, eyes sliding to the sides of her head, lips growing thicker and fatter. She reached up with hands that were now fins, and then found herself flopping on the pavement as an ugly, helpless Feebas.

A few others heard the cry without seeing it. A wife on her way home dropped to the ground as her legs vanished, a hard and granite-like texture along her backside absorbing most of the fall. A couple on a date found themselves joining six others as their bodies liquefied into yolks that were soon surrounded by egg-like faces. A businesswoman fell into her nicest dress, emerging moments later as a red-cheeked yellow rodent.

“Sylveon, Sylveon, Sylv!” The first Pokemon to assault the intersection chirped, prancing from person to person, wiggling her tail and smirking.

Soon a chorus of cries filled the air, from people trapped in their cars and the Pokemon surrounding them alike. The traffic couldn’t move, thanks to an obscenely large living boulder that had rolled into the middle of the road. A few people tried to open their doors, only to stumble onto the ground as legs became tentacles, paws, and in one case an ugly set of keys.

It stayed like this for nearly a full panic-stricken minute. Then a heavy-set woman’s ears grew loud and round, like speakers. Her mouth widened until it was nearly as large as her body. “EXPLOUD!”

The sound was loud enough to pierce the muffling protection of their cars. Some people burst from the cars’ metal confines, new inhuman bodies more than a match for energy-efficient aluminum. Others were too soft to escape naturally, and found themselves scrambling for their doors, trying to squeeze out before they outgrew what had once been signs of freedom. Others yet dwindled down, seatbelts loosening as there was nothing to hold them.

The Sylveon yipped again in amusement, eyes twinkling with delight.

Paul was a lot smarter than he liked to let on. As a result, he saw some of the changes coming, correctly guessed that it was from the cries of the changing population, and plugged his ears. Also as a result, Tina didn’t believe him at first. And by the time she did, it was much too late.

He motioned for her to follow him, deaf to her mumbled cries as her teeth sharpened in her mouth. He was so focused on trying to get them to safety that he didn’t see the torrent of drool that spilled down her cheeks, shamefully soaking her shirt.

But he certainly felt the crack of her head against his, followed by a piercing headache.

“Ow! The hell?” He put a hand against the back of his head, moving just a little too quickly. His earbuds were good for knockoffs, but they still were knockoffs and just a little too much motion sent one clattering to the ground.

“Whhuuh!” Tina groaned from behind him. Too close behind him. His hand met what should have been the back of his head, but was instead a hard stem. The migraine drilled further into his head, connecting with his brain.

For a moment, his jaw slackened. Tina’s panicked mind had somehow fled her changing body into his own. She had a moment to realize just how strong and heavy Paul’s body felt before his brain reasserted itself… Just for a moment.

It was like a tennis match between the two, and with each pass over the ‘net,’ their differences blurred a little more. It was almost easier for both of them to think of themselves as an individual.

Almost.

Paul focused his thoughts, trying to meditate as though it could block out whatever noises were coming from Tina’s body. Her mouth had kept growing, and growing, sucking up the rest of her in the process… And some of him.

He looked down to his arms, finding them more slender, feminine even. He grit his teeth, staggering against a nearby shop’s window-

-and Tina’s hand clapped against it. Only it wasn’t her hand, it was too manly. Her arm might have been slender, but there was no hiding that shape… Yet. She listened to the low, hungry groan from the mouth connected to the back of her head and-

-Paul yelped, fingers sharpening into short claws, palms shrinking away. Blackness covered them like gloves and he flexed them in disbelief. “St-stop, let me think, let-”

“-mmuuh!” Tinaw moaned, her voice unfamiliar for a moment, growing softer and softer by the moment. This felt right… She felt-

-like a monster. Paul shivered, her hands wrapping around her sides as they pinched inward. Her body kept shrinking, skin stretching from her waist to slip past her ankles and cover her like a skirt. She… No, Paule was-

-Imaw staggered, hearing more Pokemon cry. It wasn’t long before she would join them, she knew it, but there was that annoying voice in her head that kept trying to pull her away. She opened the mouth on the back of her head, letting it let out a loud cry-

-and despite not wanting to, Aile heard, her hands scraping against her cheeks, trying to remember a name that now felt so strange. She was Aile? There was another letter in it, wasn’t there? But what were letters? She slumped to her knees and Aile-

-Imaw-

-Ile-

-Maw-

-Mawile-

-Mawile. Yes. That felt right. She took a shuddering breath, only to squirm as drool spilled from her hungry head-mouth onto her back. She sent it a baleful glare, then staggered to her feet. Something smelled…

She turned her head, finding a bakery with some very startled-looking humans inside. Perfect. Not only would she get a treat, she might even find herself a mate…

Anika gasped as her ears grew wider, so wide that they could hear every frightened breath from the others in her group. There was no longer a need to hide them, so she pulled her sleeves back and revealed cream-colored pom-poms covering her wrists.

Kurt was the first to speak out. “Get out of here before you get us sick too, you stupid-”

“Lopunny?” She tried, squeezing her shoulders together to better show off her chest.

“Hhhluughm.” His tongue swelled from his mouth quickly enough to drown out whatever words he had next, and whatever thoughts he had next were scattered as the massive tongue swung downwards and clapped him squarely between his legs.

The others had heard, of course. Some of them would be cuter than the others. Anika felt a little sorry for the ones that were going to end up as Ground-types. Well, except for that cute boy in the back who looked to be trying to hide a swollen bosom inside his hoodie.

In a way, it was a little of a relief. He was so changed that there was no way she was the only one to infect these people, right?

At the same time… She wanted to be the one to do it.

“S-stay back from meeeEEEVVEEE!” A guy – she didn’t know his name or plan on learning it – shrank as she grabbed him, whispering her new name over and over into his ears, until he was just a writhing bundle of fluff.

“Kyle!” Another man cried, reaching out for his… Friend? Boyfriend? It didn’t matter. What did matter is that he’d taught Anika the little Eevee’s old name, which she very expressly was trying to avoid committing to memory.

“Lopunny. Loooo…” She let the word linger in the air between them, with enough force that one of the nearby not-cutes gagged as her entire body turned into some kind of pitcher plant with eyes.

The Eevee’s friend staggered, hips flaring out to a size that any animator would drool over. This had the benefit of tearing his jeans off, revealing a large, brown tail. Anika didn’t waste any time, grabbing his shirt and yanking it off, letting more of her sweet words fill the space between them.

It revealed, to her delight, a seam along his belly and padding around his shoulders. He was going to make such a good mother. She stuffed his former friend into his pouch without a hint of delicacy, shivering as her own hips flared slightly. A new tail wiggled behind her mischievously.

She barely registered another woman changing, despite her cries as string spilled form her mouth, swirling around her, enveloping her, binding her. There was a flash, and where a cute twenty-something had been was now a green cocoon with a pronounced nose and eyes that were getting less and less panicked by the second.

She did recognize the Metapod, which she grabbed in a brown-furred hand, stroking at the cute hoodie-boy’s chest. “Lopunny…” She purred, pressing the Metapod between them, shivering in delight. This was going to be so perfect, her final-

“Niduuhqueeen,” rumbled the boy as he—she bulged out in an instant. It was a forceful cry for a forceful change, and one that battered the Lopunny’s thoughts away into meek submission.

The Metapod fell to the ground with a clatter, and Lopunny squirmed, looking shyly away a second before strong blue arms took her into a tight embrace that promised far, far more pleasure in store.

“Awwwurlcanine,” he growled, playing his tongue against her body again and again. She was soft. Squishy. Was…

He occasionally remembered, between soft, gentle nibbles. She had been… It wasn’t quite a mate, but it was close to it. It was supposed to mean more. But now she was a green ball. Better, she had little squishy bumps that he could gnaw on and press against and-

He nibbled on the tip of her head, feeling that nice green bump inside her brush against the roof of his mouth. He panted, gasping, trying not to let out another one of those growls because it was bad.

Or was it? When he said his name, he felt good. But he remembered.

He remembered the panic in her eyes as he barked, how her mouth had moved between her eyes, her hands had pressed up to her swelling head at the rest of her body tapered away to a nub. Then all that wonderfully chewtoy minty gel had come from her mouth, had surrounded her. And now they were like this.

He wouldn’t say it. He made up his mind. His tail wagged at the thought. He was worried he’d lose that too, like the other dog that had changed them. Other dog? They were different. It was orange and black, with horns. It had made a sound that he’d mercifully forgotten, but he had heard it back when he had been…

He didn’t know what he had been before. But he remembered the surprise of getting his massive, heavy paws. He remembered the delightful fluff that sprouted from her wrists and ankles. He remembered how good it was to feel himself swelling out of his tight clothes and shaking them off his fur.

It made him almost want to bark again. Almost.

He pawed at her to distract himself, slurping contentedly. She was so nice and soft that-

+Duosion.+

It wasn’t his own name, but it was just as dangerous. He jerked back in surprise, looking at her eyes, seeing that they were momentarily focused. It was her voice. It had slipped into his head and now-

+Duosion. Uo. Duosion.+

It was so serene. He fell atop her, gnawing, growling happily, playing with his most treasured toy. And he forgot.

“GhhrrrArcanine!”

The city had stood for a modest four hundred years. It took less than a week for it to fall completely. Calls for help only served to infect would-be rescuers. Researchers soon found themselves devoid of thought. It could not be contained, though there was a desperate attempt to barricade its roads.

It was a plan that failed to realize the greatest danger of their modern society. While some met their last moments with pleasure, and others with fear, there were others still who shared those moments with people far away, who should have been safe…

Should have. But from an innocent post to social media, to an interview scheduled at precisely the wrong time; new hotspots of change welled up around the state, then the country, then the world. Each of them would spread just as thoroughly and just as quickly, with only one end in sight.

Everyone, everywhere, would join the PokeFlu’s siren call.
